  1. I thought,"30 years?! That went by fast!" One of his earlier commercials. I wouldn't have known it was him except for the smile.
  2. THAT'S who she is! I knew she looked familiar but I couldn't place her. Loved that show!
  3. The dress designer is quoted as saying that she has worked hard on her craft for years, this is her first celebrity client and that she is extremely proud of herself. I wonder if she still felt that way after comments all over social media said the dress was hideous. The word "sausage" was used quite a lot from what I saw.
  4. Alana goes to the prom...with the guy who took her on high speed race away from the cops. I can't believe he was even allowed into prom with his record and the fact that he's 21. https://people.com/tv/alana-honey-boo-boo-thompson-goes-to-prom-see-her-photos-with-mama-june/
  5. I have been in the working world for forty years. Everywhere that I've worked, you get a review once a year and a pay raise at that time. I now work in a t-shirt warehouse. One of the young'uns whined to me that she couldn't understand why she wasn't getting a raise every couple of months. At her old job (a weed farm somewhere up north) she got raises all the time. I had to gently explain to her that our company's way of doing it was more the norm. She was flabbergasted. Let's keep in mind that she was no work whiz and called out sick more than she was there. She finally quit when she got wind that the company might boot her for her attendance record. Then we had two 19-year-olds who were best friends. One of them told off a supervisor because he wouldn't let them work next to each other. Friend A was working at the table next to me and was worried because Friend B (who was working across the room with five others and still in view) was going to be so lonely with nobody to talk to. Friend A would often disappear for long periods of time and I figured out that she was hiding in a bathroom stall and watching tiktok videos. Friend B's car was on the fritz so they had to take an uber to work at 5AM at $30/pop. They get their first paychecks and you'd think they'd put that toward getting the car fixed. Nope, they got their eyelashes done and the lashes were so long that they looked like a couple of camels. Friend B got angry with an older coworker and was heard saying,"I'm 19 and I have my whole life ahead of me! What are you...50? You're old and you'll be dead soon!" A & B got fired for poor attendance and nobody cried when they left.
  6. This episode had one of my big annoyances. As Josh was leaving tribal, someone yelled,"Love you, Josh!" Get outta here, you do not love him as you've known him for less than two weeks. I've had friendly neighbors for years that I don't even consider telling them that I love them. It's one of my pet peeves in life that our current culture throws that word around like birdseed at a wedding. Egad, I'm expecting to see "Matt Loves Frannie" carved into a tree.
  7. To be fair, there are many good parents whose kids turn out assholes. My ex-coworker and his wife are great people and they were involved parents (coached little league teams, etc.). Their son thought it a good idea to rob a bank. Sometimes spawn is going to do what it's going to do.
  8. Lauryn and Jessica have the same dad. Lauryn did a DNA test a few years ago because she wanted to find her dad. That's how they found out they were full sisters. June had thought it was better to let everybody think that there was a third baby daddy rather than have them find out that she got knocked up twice by the same loser.
  9. I had a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that Anthony Michael Hall would be old enough to date Beverly. Then I looked it up and he is actually a year and a half older than Wendi McLendon-Covey.
  10. I wonder what Roseanne would have thought of them being married. And by Roseanne I mean the character, not Roseanne Barr because there's never any doubt what she thinks about anything.
  11. Thank you! I looked it up and Mr. Whitford is two months older than I am. The old comment was offensive because I still have a few good years left!
  12. I was surprised at how many articles about his death neglected to mention that he and Henry Winkler are cousins.
  13. That came out in Jan. 2022. It wasn't bad and she's a pretty decent writer.
  14. I read it and don't even remember what she said about The Mansion. It was a pretty fluffy book. My recommendation is to get it out of the library and don't buy it. I was impressed that she was adamant that her kids came first. She made sure she was the mother who knew all her kids' friends and she had the house on the block where the neighborhood kids felt comfortable and at home. She also volunteered in the drop off/pick up lane at the elementary school when her boys were little. I bet there was an uptick of fathers feeling the need to participate in carpool!
  15. Is Fergie the administrator of that group?
  16. We're almost twins! I'll be 63 tomorrow. Happy belated birthday!!
  17. When I was on unemployment, the unemployment person looked me right in the eye and said that they didn't follow up to make sure people were putting down legitimate work searches unless somebody had been ratted out for being fraudulent. She told me to just put something down every week and do it on time and all will be well.
  18. This was one of my favorite TAR scenes! She's boohooing and carrying on. The Harlem Globetrotters were the team behind her. In a flash one of them runs up, pushes her out of the way and throws himself down the slide.
  19. Just finished Matthew Perry's book. What a whiny braggart.
  20. Well, that was interesting! I'm liking Gwen a whole lot.
  21. Yes, he is: https://www.today.com/popculture/nbc-s-keith-morrison-opens-about-being-matthew-perry-s-t116469
  22. Who Are You by The Who. I keep hearing "who are you" as "New Orleans." It always made me think that it was the theme for a '70's cop show.
  23. People Magazine, I expect you can do better than referring to Carly as the "You're So Vein" singer.
