Still doesn't excuse those insensitive remarks. That's just wrong.

Bolding mine Would almost seem that way. I think that the Tibetan Book of Living and Dying suggests that the person dying and in pain try to also take on others' pain.

ETA And, to my mind, MT falls into that category. It always angered me how because of her anti-birth control etc. views she managed to create for herself "job security". But it is frequently considered heresy to blaspheme the good teresa with those thoughts, even in conversation with non-Catholics.

What attracted you to Mormonism?

Those were little camp fires? In old pet food tins? Pioneer Woman, watch out!

Presbyterian here. Lapsed, if is there is such a thing. Parents had us in so many church activities that, for me, were more social than religious. Never really felt the pull. But I think the Golden Rule is pretty great. And the 10 Commandents tie up some loose ends. Shame there aren't more ethics and morality lessons in education available w/o a religious context.

I get some good chuckles from this thread. But often end up sad. Those poor kids. The Doomed. -
At least Rosie will be back. Small consolation.

And then add into that already crazy convoluted story the timeline element of the teevee filming sched. Makes my brain hurt. I bet this is more than Andy ever hoped for.

Kyle Richards: Pantene Poster Girl

In our county in SWFL the area listings are at the whim of whomever at the property appraiser's office does the data entry. Entries of lot square footage and/or its acreage can vary from property to property on the same street. Frequently Realtors will use county property records for their Zillow/Trulia listings so are at the mercy of the county employee's data entry. Sometimes the employees just use old deeds for their info. I'm a little more amazed at Kyle's bragging about the "double ender" sale. In FL the buyers are able to use, and usually do choose to use, a buyer's agent. Likewise with sellers using a seller's agent. I would not use an agent who is representing the person from whom I am trying to get a good/fair deal. Seems odd. At that point who are Mauricio/Farrah really representing? -
. Goodness gracious, they can explain it with dance!!!! Though it's going to be one heckuvan interpretative dance. Wonder if they dragged those goofy wigs down in their luggage. Could be they're going to be jesus-rainbows in their little dance. Or something. Maybe the pic with the leaf is them saying, Look what we found under a cabbage leaf? Other than that I got nuthin'.

It means they represent both the buyer and the seller and double ending can walk a very fine ethical line. Here's a WSJ article from 2014. But if you just Google "real estate deal double ender" the vast majority of initial hits question the ethics. -
Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events

Would that mean we could finally put Christ back in Christmas? I'm leaning towards the GoldDuggar thinking but am loving the schadenfreude. -
While Buddhism can at times pose as many questions as it might answer it is a gentle accepting religion. "The Buddha said of death: Life is a journey. Death is a return to earth. The universe is like an inn. The passing years are like dust. Regard this phantom world As a star at dawn, a bubble in a stream, A flash of lightning in a summer cloud, A flickering lamp - a phantom - and a dream" So sorry for the grief of loss that many are feeling. It is a difficult journey. Wishing you peace.

Another issue re: court ordered AA attendance is that AA is more set up for those who want to change, want to better control their addictions. It is set up for people who want to be there, not those ordered to be there. I think even AA has issues with accepting court-ordered attendees. It seems that the ones ordered to attend could be not only less than anxious to participate but possibly disruptive.

I was responding to the post-wanderwoman dust-up concerning some posters' concerns over this thread becoming medical problems-centric. Some, imho, rather harsh views were expressed and I have not seen a few posters here since.I have not seen you post here since then either and your mention of "popping out" of your "den of iniquity" left me thinking of the above mentioned dust-up.

I thought there was a simple disagreement about the direction this thread had taken. Not a matter of the "inevitable bad apples". ETA quote after page jump.

Did they get in a time machine and travel back to the '80s to write that thing? Geesh.
