1. I think the original flavor Match Game had a lot of double entendres and somewhat "crude" responses. They used to film a number of episodes in a day and I'm pretty sure there was an open bar available. Good times!
2. What the eff is Whoopi wearing? Looks she stepped out of a period movie wearing a smoking jacket and bow tie. I'm glad Sonny is there as an imho, intelligent counter-voice to Paula.
3. @MelinaBallerina Libraries can be a great source for audiobooks. Ours allows a 30 day checkout. They are great for commutes! I've found that who does the reading can be a big part of the enjoyment-factor. And there's even an audiobooks thread.
4. Thanks! I've been on a bit of true-crime binge and there are too many mediocre authors (I'm looking at you, M. William Phelps) so appreciate some recommendations. Michigan Murders by Edward Keyes was really well written. It chronicles the 1960s co-ed murders in the Detroit/Ann Arbor area. And just finished Burl Barer's Murder in the Family. A 2016 update to his book written about a late 1980s Alaskan psychopath. There are kids involved so if that's a deal-breaker beware but it's a well-told page-turner. I was really impressed with how well the Anchorage police secured and worked the crime scene. That's not always the case in the even more current crimes. Both titles read as though they could happen today. Chilling.
5. Or better yet, grilled? I shouldn't come in to this thread when I'm hungry 'cuz now I'm hungry for everything! With a prosecco-sangria chaser.
6. I haven't watched any of the better-off-not-winning lottery shows and probably won't because of my familiarity with the Abraham S. case. That one has been profiled on more than one of the true-crime shows. Sad.
7. Just tuned in to ID's replay of Unfriended but not too sure how long I'll last. Because, Nancy Grace. Shows lose credibility when they choose to re-air her diatribes. And she drives me nuts, UGH! Wish they wouldn't go back to that particular well for background. I don't trust a thing she says.
8. Maybe that's why she tries to not hang out with the "drunks".
9. ^^^ And what judge in their right (fair, non-partial) mind would grant a change of venue to a location closer to the outrage??? Boggles the mind.
10. Oh Luke. Maybe I'm not savvy enough in the news-lingo department but li'l Luke was just on to report on most recent Benghazi findings. He held it up (a la Dan Abrams in 2000) and announced that this news, "just dropped". I know that albums drop and singles drop but news? It just seemed so trying-too-hard.
11. Wow! The comments are blistering. At least Jinger's smile looks authentic. And she appears affectionate. That's a less disturbing picture of both. J & M still look like boobs. And they're in Laredo. Maybe Jeremy will sweep her away from the Ark.
12. I wish someone would have edited her FB tmi. Does Brynn go on these vacations? Didn't she also go someplace with Carole? Ecuador? note to self: do not click...
13. No, I think you're the one with heart. Hard to watch mean girls bullying.
14. Didn't we once see a picture with the book upside down?
15. The puffer vest doesn't help either. Nothing says Miami like down or polyfill.
16. And she's worried about Sonja damaging her brand? Puhleaze. She pretends that Sonja shouldn't do the vacay becuase of her drinking yet we see Ramona break the stem off a wine glass when she's loaded and I thought B was there. Most people in business make it a point to not give zero-fucks. And I don't think her "zero fucks" is as original as she does.
17. Is Jinger the one who seems to have a special spark with Bin? This so-called match-up just seems wrong. In that picture Jeremy looks so adult. And Jinger so doesn't. She is such an innocent. Imho, it's worrisome.
18. Thanks for the link but, like you, have little faith. Mainly because, like almost everything, big business calls the shots on DST. I'm not sure how reliable Raw Story is but they look to have gotten the story right about who's responsible for the extra weeks added on a couple of years ago.
19. Didn't Pres. Carter attempt a start at conversion to metrics? I seem to remember some ill-fated highway signs along I-75 with both miles and kilometers. And now, with Brexit, will GB convert back to Imperial? I'd happily give up daylight savings changes. Messes me up twice a year every year.
20. A basic way to convert C to F is to double the Celsius number and add 30. It's not 100% accurate but it gets you close.
21. "If you get that radio gig remember I'm a good Christian. And I cook! We could be a force!"
22. Jump on over to the Seewald's thread. There's a dandy video...
23. Well, that's 6 1/2 minutes I'll never get back. But on the plus side I'm not hungry anymore. Raw meat? Really? I haven't made casseroles in years but I think I remember always browning the meat. I wouldn't call that a bread knife. I don't think those were serrations but rather gaps that keep what's being cut from sticking to the knife. That said, her knife skills... Someone count her fingers. And I was so horrified watching that mess I forgot to listen for, "Shit's going all over. lol But don't forget, food right out of the oven is HOT, y'all!
24. Looks, to me, like a fad/Christmas present type thing. Seen at your local thrift store by June. Maybe they should have considered a system for growing herbs. Their Kickstarter account has soared to $18,504. Only $46,496. to go!
