  1. LOL I noticed a few Ed Grimley pigeon-toe moves too!
  2. As someone who has never seen the movie or any production, and really didn't know the story, I loved this! I wasn't paying attention to production snafus, except that I thought Sean's microphone wasn't working that well -- I couldn't hear him singing. Maybe because I didn't know the songs, like some of the other TV musicals, I didn't notice things like lip-synching or missing words. (I was just trying to figure out what they were singing.). I love Sean Hayes, Martin Short, Andrea Martin, and such a treat to see Harvey Fierstein. It was a fun show and made me want to listen to the music! I don't care for the inbetween interviews and frankly, didn't pay any attention to them. So, for the Joe Average, non-theater viewer, this was probably a hit for NBC.
  3. I saw an old show this afternoon. Young couple with 3 children, Boston area. He wanted (and said) " mid-century modern" so much I was sure he would "win." Ack -- I still giggle that what I consider 1950's-60's is given such a lofty name as MCM!!! I grew up with that -- no thanks. They ended up buying a different house on a lot of property.
  4. Speaking of which, I don't understand the popularity of a "farmhouse sink." Sure it is bigger, but you still need to put a dish drainer somewhere for the dishes to dry off. I'd rather have it in the other sink than up on a countertop.
  5. I wondered about the family of 10 too. I know times have changed, but I kept thinking how did my family of 10 grow up with only 1 1/2 baths, one washer and dryer, and (eventually) a portable dishwasher in a tiny cramped kitchen???!!! She was wanting two washers and dryers and I think two dishwashers too. It was fun to see those HUGE houses, though.
  6. Yes, I am hoping Seattle couple took their HH "coaching" to the extreme and they really aren't so contrary all the time.
  7. I thought the Seattle realtor was going to lose it when the guy said in such a disgusted way, "And another thing, there is NO doggy door!" Horrors!!!! I know I rolled my eyes over that one,.
  8. I just happened upon DOOL today and saw Kayla, Patch, and Adrianne, and had to watch! (I watched back in the day of all those couples.). Then to see Shane and Kim -- btw, Kim always made those weird face/mouth motions. Her hair did look weird. Isn't Adrianne old enough to be Lucas's mother? (I know; it's the soaps.)
  9. I too have never understood the Cumberbatch attraction. Not that handsome. But I have never seen him in any role, so just watching him on SNL I can see that it's more than just his looks. Was hoping to see Harry Caray return, too, but loved that they had the Cubs, Bill Murray. And Church Lady!
  10. By the end of each season, I am sick of the cast of characters of any RH show. Then I come back ...
  11. This x 1000 likes. Creepy. And, not all of us are attracted to the muscle-proud guys.
  12. I would not have wanted that wet Singapore bathroom either. Hell, I hate squeegee-ing the glass walls in our shower, much less having to dry off the floor, walls, and toilet in a bathroom!
  13. Agree with all the comments here on Chicago to Manchester woman. GAH! Did anyone else hear her say, at the end, when they were strolling through the park, that there weren't many people around where they now lived???! Ack!! That is why living in town would have been great -- she could have strolled to shops, coffee houses, restaurants during the day and her husband would not have had been commuting TWO HOURS a day! One of them mentioned that this was only a two year assignment for her husband. What an opportunity. She had such a poor attitude, and did seem to care more about the dog than her husband.
  14. Funny. I thought Lauren looked kind of "boho relaxed" and Emily (who I also like) looked a little "trying too hard." But then I am old and never had a figure for the skimpy. What does "girls catch feelings" even mean??? I love Captain Lee.
  15. I've missed some things. Are Shannon and her family living in NewHouse temporarily before moving elsewhere? Or staying in NewHouse? Renting or buying? Thanks for info.
  16. Tamra goes to the opening of a CANDLE store wearing a top cut down to her navel? Her breasts looked weird. Also did not need to see Kelly's mesh breast exposure at the book party. Is that a CA thing?
  17. Yes! I thought the sister was awful, too. I was actually yelling at her as I watched. Very selfish. Glad the brother stood his ground. (Although we all know he was already there.)
  18. Tamra jumped into the conversation, claiming Simon was a Narcissist. Really? Has this been discussed before or was she just looking for attention? It was really sweet to see Jim comforting Meghan.
  19. I wouldn't move somewhere for a museum. That is weird! Didn't see the show; was it possibly a producer-driven statement?
  20. Is brasstone hardware coming back?? Goody -- I still have plenty in our mid-1980's house! ;)
  21. Your first paragraph sounds like a line from SNL's "The Californians" skits! The characters would go into long explanations of how to get from one place to another, listing all the streets and highways. lol.
  22. I heard a quote from Lorne Michaels, who was asked what years were the best years of SNL. His response was something like " the best years were the years you watched in high school." LOL. We are so used to seeing the highlights, we forget that each season had its dud skits. So happy for Kate McKinnon!
  23. Thought the "In Memorium" was well done. Love "Hallelujah." I had forgotten so many -- and many memories from my youth. Sigh.
