This is why I believe that Dean's earlier speech was a set up for failure.

IMO, what truly broke Dean is finding out Sam went behind his back and chose the British Men of Letters. The way Jensen played that scene, something shifted in Dean. It's like he truly realized he'll always be the one supporting them and no one will ever truly has have his back. I know its sucky writing but Dean hasn't been the same character since that ep.

I think the empty keeper and Lucifer are two different entities. I think the Empty Keeper doesnt' know Lucifer is awake yet and they probably won't address it.

It would have been nice if this played out on screen. What exactly did Michael do to crush Dean? Dean didn't seem all the worried or concerned about Michael and why he left. To much focus on Jack and his consumption. This also doesn't' really make sense with what the Djinn saw and his "you" or why his vision went wonky. That's not really 'breaking Dean" if he doesn't seem to notice or care that something strange happened. A-fucking-men

Just like I thought. Its another bait and switch. The promo for the next ep shows Michael caught by Sam (of course the supreme leader of the known and unknown universe can subdue the most powerful archangel) and Cas. I can even pretend to be surprised anymore. He gets caught so easily. They just will not give Jensen a chance to shine

I think it will be Lucifer. I think its just the writers inability to actually connect episodes to each other. This episode was focused on Jack's ressurection and the writers couldn't have anything get in the way of that.

It would be a shame if we didn't get this

I have a feeling the 300th will be Sam's It's a Wonder Life episode.

Sounds like a direct repeat of Dean's confrontation with Mary, right down the motivation. (I didn't know I needed it) I bet Sam won't talk about how much John mistreated Dean.

After being softened up by a lady with a pigeon. Plus, we know that that ep was heavily re-written with Jensen, Jared, Misha and Mark all consulting. There is no way of knowing how Dabb originally wrote the end of that ep.

If we find out Michael can listen through Dean or control him then its just stands to reason that Dean won't be able to be in on the planning sessions or go to confront Michael. He'll essentially be cut out of his own story (not that he was ever in it to begin with )

IMO, Dean's speech is a perfect set up for failure.

This is the afternoon panel. Someone asked what their lives would have been like if John had died instead of Mary. Jared makes a joke that maybe we would see it, and Jensen's reaction is interesting. It almost seemed like he was saying 'shut up". It makes me wonder if that is a spoiler. Its about 25 minutes in.

According to someone else who was in line behind her, Jensen signed it without comment. She then made sure to point out what he was signing. So it sounds like she was looking for drama. , she got rude and started shouting. They had to move the people back and call Clif. Afterword, Jensen apparently had to leave the table for about 10 minutes to compose himself. Not only that he didn't even write the no. He put a question mark and the girl wrote no herself. So it sounds like she planned the whole thing looking for drama and attention. This is a big part of the reason why I don't really ship destiel anymore.

This is one thing I can't argue with.

Jared also said at a recent con he doesn't regret anything of the things Sam has said to Dean because they're is usally a grain of truth in them. It seems he supports what Sam said in The Purge.

Dean will probably be a bully and demand it, and try to take it only to get his ass kicked by Teenage Mutant Ninja Sue, while Cas appeals to her with a sense of compassion and understanding.

IMO, Sam was never meant to be wrong about Benny because he ended up getting his own way and Dean ended up looking jerk for cutting Benny off for no other reason than Sam had a temper tantrum. I don't think this was meant to happen, during the first half I just think the writers constantly underestimate Jensen. IIRC, this was a contract year so I think that was what the back half was about.

Why isn't Dean more concerned about what happened with the Djinn and the wonky vision thing? Does he not remember those things happened? Or I guess the better question do the writers have any clue? Just as I thought, festering= not actually happening on screen but so far repressed in Dean's mind that they don't actually exist anymore. So far that Buck/Lemming interview about the Michael storyline not being that big a deal is spot on, and Dabb's was clearly damage control. There was just no room for the Michael story in between Jack's consumption one.

It wasn't even 20 mintues. I think it was timed at 18.

This answers whether Dean was stupid enough to trust Michael, and of course the answer is yes. "He conned me." Dean isn't this dumb. This all but guaruntee, IMO, that someone else will get the kill and I'm tried of Cas lying to Dean.

The problem is that if I look past the fluff not even the tell works because none of them them really spent all that much time with Jack. Sam and Dean's early relationship were both antagonistic. Sam was manipulative and Dean was hostile and Cas was MIA. I know the show will never again adress Sam using Jack for his own purposes but that doesn't change that it happened. In a well written show were Jack was a normal character rather then, a mary sue the most precious peanut to ever grace the face of the Earth he should have been questioning Sam. None of them, other than Dean, and that was one day, have really spent any quality time with Jack. Even off screen tell isn't there because there wasn't really a time for it to happen because Jack was MIA or Sam, Dean and or Cas were. Jensen said that he was glad he wasn't in the bar fight in the premier because it was hell to shoot. So you might be right.
