  1. Dragons! All three of them too! Drogon maybe a hard-headed teenager but he loves his mama :) I'm highly amused by the fact that we all were smiling when Ramsey's dogs tore him to pieces. I hated the smug, sadistic coward and I was so glad to see him go out that way. And by Sansa's hand too. Yara has her eye on you Dany. Their interaction was amusing. Anyone else think Daavos was going to push Melisandre out of her window when he was looking up at her in Winterfell? I'll miss Wun Wun.
  2. Unless I'm mistaken, wasn't Alex going to turn herself in? I'm pretty sure that's what was going to happen when she approached the CO in that sealed off area before Healy told Piscatelli that it was Lolly.
  3. I'll probably come back with a more detailed post but now that I'm done with the season, here are my initial thoughts: - A step up from Season 3 for sure. I can see why Netflix renewed it for another two seasons. They had some great lines placed all over the season that'll probably be quoted all over the internet for some time. - I want the new COs gone and gone for good. From Piscatello down (who probably got sent from the men's max because even the warden there knew he was awful), they're all power-hungry, abusive, deranged assholes and they shouldn't be anywhere near women in a minimum security prison. - Caputo started off with the right intentions but the minute he started to try and work with MSC or whatever they're called you knew things were going to go bad and fast. I also understand him trying to protect Bayley (Bailey?) because it truly was an accident but the spin he put on it is troubling. Now they have a riot on their hands. (Didn't Bayley say in a previous episode that he hoped the prisoners never turned on them because they were outnumbered?) - I like Alex and Piper, together and apart. Piper needed her wake up call and she got it in a big way. Alex also has to find her way through as well and you could see from the minute she decided to kill the hit-man that it would affect her forever. Also really enjoyed the Alex/Lolly and their Laurel and Hardy-esque relationship. - I liked seeing Maria, Blanca and Maritza's flashbacks as well because again, as with all the other flashbacks, they give you so much insight into what we have today. Suzanne's flashback was heart-breaking. - I know why they did it, I understand the symbolism and the message they're trying to send but man, am I still broken up about Poussey. I'm going to miss her brand of optimism and lightness in the prison. I'm also afraid of what it'll mean for Taystee in the future because she looks like she's ready to go on the warpath.
  4. I seriously despise the new guards. They're all sick in the head and I'd be okay with Daya putting a bullet in that psycho one that made Maritza eat a mouse if it wasn't for the fact that she'd get more time. Still really, really want him dead. Caputo man, you have no idea what you're doing and it shows. All he's done is make the situation worse.
  5. I wasn't prepared for that. At all :(
  6. I have a list too. Similar to yours except I'd swap out Pod with Dany/Grey Worm/Missandei and Jon with Sansa.
  7. Mourinho at United, Pep at City, Wenger at Arsenal, Conte at Chelsea, Klopp at Liverpool, Poch at Spurs, Ranieri at Leicester...August needs to hurry up and get here! (Don't want to talk about the absolute meltdown Liverpool had in the Europa League final)
  8. You're absolutely right. Atletico aren't made to be the team on the front foot. Their game is to stay compact and catch teams on the break. The coaching staff for Real must've noticed this and decided to beat Atletico at their own game. With how dead on their feet their players were in extra time and how Atletico couldn't manage to beat them even then, it clearly worked. Not a good match by the US. Colombia didn't even have to get out of second gear.

    The NBA

Watched this game with my brother while the majority of my attention was on the Copa America match going on at the same time. Even with that little of my attention span on the NBA, the lack of fight/hustle from the Cavs on show was embarrassing. You're in the NBA finals, you have to do better than that. I sincerely hope that they don't perform that way in Game 3 at Cleveland because their fans deserve more than that from their team.

    Tennis Thread

I don't hate Novak but I'm completely meh about him. He just doesn't inspire any intense emotion from me. I hate Kyrgios (will he ever grow up?) and I love Rafa but Novak just never grabbed my attention one way or the other. He'll probably be one of the least memorable top men's player to me even if he beats Roger's trophy haul especially now that his real competition is clearly fading away. Garbine beating Serena was a total surprise to me. I watched the final at the gym and I did let out a little cheer when she won that final point. Good for her.
  11. What a difference a year makes. Of their proposed line up, I'll only be watching Jane The Virgin, Legends and Supergirl (maybe). In my opinion: The 100 fell off a cliff in terms of quality this past season and I can't see it coming back from that, Arrow has never recovered from Sara Lance's death and I never watched the rest of the CW line up. I'm still trying to figure out if the renewal of all their shows is good or bad news. I do know that there were rumours of the CW ending their Netflix deal to start up their own subscription platform which I don't think is a good idea, if the rumours are true,
  12. Kate Beckinsale has always been one of my favourite actresses and I knew she had a pretty great sense of humour (I think it was an interview with David Letterman way back when that I cottoned on to this fact) but the chocolate story had me busting a gut. I'll also be on the lookout for horse costumes at any high end hotels that I get the chance to stay in. Who knows, it might just be her :) Big GOT fan and I agree with all of those who said Emilia Clarke is quite endearing. She was clearly enjoying herself as well. Overall, a really good couch.
  13. The best writing on the show was at the beginning when D&D had plenty of source material to work with. We're now seeing what happens when they're left to their own devices e.g we really didn't have to spend so much time with The Hound considering that everything has to be wrapped up in a season and a bit and the less said about Ramsay Bolton and Dorne, the better.
  14. They mentioned it to Lyanna Mormont but she wasn't interested in fighting another battle for the Starks.
  15. - As others have said, Lyanna Mormont is great. Keep her around longer show, she's already shown more smarts than half the lords of Westeros. - I hope Margaery knows what she's doing. We need more good, smart people in the future especially when it's time to rule the people. I will not be happy if Cersei's impulsive idiocy gets her killed. - Jaime has never been a favourite of mine, ever since he pushed Bran out of that window. I still think losing a hand isn't punishment enough for him. I'd be okay with Lord Blackfish dishing out that punishment too. - Robb Stark's stupidity still haunts his family. He, like his father before him, really didn't think some things through properly. - Dany needs ships and Yara seems to be a-okay with giving her those ships. I'm all for the two of them teaming up.
  16. Not a bad start since I went into it with absolutely no background whatsoever. Not sure what it says about me that I found Tulip's interactions with the two kids the best bits about the pilot.
  17. One of the endings had Jasper committing suicide.
  18. Does anyone know anything about Dark Towers? The cast, so far, has me intrigued.
  19. I actually think it has something to do with Sara Ramirez' contract issues. They must've gone right down to the wire and ultimately, either she or ABC walked away from the table and left the writers with very little time to write something salvageable, which is why this ending felt so off.
  20. Well initially Pike was going to survive this season but with Mike Beach's pilot being picked up, his character became expendable. Octavia killing him was a fitting end. Good seeing Lexa again. Overall, an average finale which cements my position to drop this show. Goodbye The 100. You started off bad, got better, peaked in Season 2 and went downhill after that.
  21. Me too. I was expecting April & the baby to bite it. Arizona is way too nice but I guess with Sara Ramirez leaving they had to tie up that storyline some how. It's a little annoying because it makes the whole custody thing a waste of time. I'm not sure what to make of Amelia & Owen getting married but I hope they're finally happy. So Jo has a secret identity: It would be interesting to have her "real" character be English.
  22. Are you sure that wasn't all down to Jonathan Pryce and Natalie Dormer? :)
  23. - Look at that! I finally care about what Jon Snow is up to. All you had to do was insert Sansa into the story. He even admitted himself that he was a giant sulk which always made him far less interesting for me :) - Cersei is going to get Margaery killed and I will not be happy. Stay strong Marg! - Tormund making eyes at Brienne was hilarious. - I hope Littlefinger and Ramsay get what's coming to them. Preferably at the hands of Sansa. - I think Tyrion might have finally bit off more than he can chew. - Dany's story looks like it's headed somewhere again, finally. I mean the whole coming out of fire while everyone else burned was a retread but I'll take it!
  24. AudienceofOne, like I said: so much filler this season, all of it pretty circular too. AFAIK, they're getting even less budget next season so don't be surprised if Season 4 is completely about the remaining 100 plus Kane & Abby. Depending on how many episodes the CW give them, we may get a bunch of bottle episodes next season too. I won't be watching though. Next week is where I break up with this show for good.
  25. Quoting myself to add: the second half of this season could've been achieved in 1 or 2 episodes to be completely honest. That's how much actually happened in all of these episodes apart from the ridiculous to and fros and the filler stuff.
