  1. She said they'd be doing a segment on Restless Leg Syndrome and Nicki Minaj would be the musical guest and finished with the Lunch Hour's tagline "Lunch is always on us!" I cracked up when she said that. Even when facing prison she's gotta mention the show. I also liked her trading insults with Kristen Johnson. "I'm still trying to process what you said since I was asphyxiated by your breath!" I think we'll get another season. I wonder how long we'll have to wait though.
  2. Lord, I can hardly picture her in a twosome! Lol. It's that old saying "Be careful what you wish for". Once you get it you find out it's not all it's cracked up to be.
  3. Unfortunately. And also unfortunate that this is Aisha's last week. :( Bet the red bitch (credit to LIMOM for that one :)) can't wait for Friday.
  4. I was hanging out with a friend the other night and when that topic came up her friend (who I usually avoid since she rubs me the wrong way) said she didn't see what the uproar was all about because "sharks are predators". When my friend called her out for showing empathy for a dog who was tied to a car and brutally beaten she said it was different because "dogs are man's best friend". Needless to say, I called it a night. I cannot deal with that level of stupidity. Tell it, Apprentice! I've been enjoying the week without "she who sends people she hates boxes of poo", but I'm afraid she might be back next week. I hope I'm wrong though. Oh, I forgot to link the podcast interview Aisha did with Sheryl... Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbhxhM_jmAk. Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVlbrRHQR2w.
  5. She's had quite the transformation. I just hope she comes to her senses and kicks Brad's cheating ass to the curb. I found this about the ratings: http://tvseriesfinale.com/tv-show/daytime-divas-season-one-ratings/.
  6. That one along with the girl who killed her sister in the car accident and kept repeating "but I don't care!" Fucked up. Thankfully they didn't show the footage of the drowning man. Hearing the audio was awful enough. Speaking of awful videos, what about the one today featuring the men dragging the shark to death with their boat? Watching stuff like that makes me sad for humanity.
  7. "Nothing? Nothing?! NOTHING TRA LA LA?!" Love this movie! First time I saw it was at 8 when I taped Return to Oz (another fantasy fave of mine) off the Disney Channel and it came on right after. One of my favorite scenes is the dream sequence in the ballroom. The score was matched the enchanting atmosphere perfectly.
  8. Next Monday is the 2 hour season finale. What makes you think the show won't come back?
  9. Thankfully the show's been Red Dragon Lady free two days in a row. :) After Jordin Sparks tomorrow, Nico Tortorello and Niki Glasser fill in Thursday and Friday. Yesterday she said her disabled sister is in a home and will most likely stay there permanently. I noticed a few times over the last week or so she said she was living alone and I wondered where her sister was. I feel bad for her about that, but hopefully she'll dial back the distasteful "humor" a bit. I'll even take "Aunt Gladys at the swap meet" and "1-800-Rent-a-black-mama" over that other mess. Listening to the audio of those soulless teens laughing at and taunting that man who drowned in Florida was chilling. I'd hate to be them on Judgment Day.
  10. Ms. Wendy, please stop trying to copy Mariah. And WTF is up with the second pic? It barely looks like her.
  11. I think sugarbaker design means she was playing with her feet. I remember it was Sharon who did that back when they did couch interviews (they should go back to that). She'd take off her shoes, put her feet up and touch them throughout the segment. What Leah did that annoyed me was pawing at Sharon and the guests, but she usually had her shoes on. Girl, don't remind me! LOL. Leah said that halfway through the first season Sharon told her and Holly that she wanted to leave the show and encouraged them to pitch a new show with the three of them, but Holly and Leah convinced her to stay. You're correct that what's done is done, but usually when Holly and Leah's names come up it's when people are wondering why they were fired and how it all went down. I don't think anyone here is whining every other day about them being fired (not saying you said that) and we all know they're not coming back. As hosts or guests.
  12. Exactly. I watched Thursday's show on demand and when they talked about the possible outcome for the parole hearing Sheryl joked that if OJ is released he can "take a stab" at life. Julie had a half-hearted smile, but she was clearly uncomfortable and said she couldn't stand behind that joke. What is with Sheryl lately? I saw the first half of Friday's show before they were interrupted by the press conference following Sean Spicer's resignation. Sharon was there and being her usual know-it-all self so I didn't bother watching the rest on demand. Brandy (the singer) is supposed to guest host tomorrow, a comic named Anjelah Johnson sits in on Tuesday and Jordin Sparks Wednesday. I'm hoping Aisha isn't the one missing, but we'll see.
  13. Thanks for the link! I didn't know Kelly Clarkson covered it. I don't really listen to her music, but that girl can SANG! I feel the same way about Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie. As excellent as Jagged Little Pill was (and still is), Alanis showed so much growth on SFIJ. I didn't know half of what she was singing about (I was about 11 or 12 when I first heard it), but I still felt it.
  14. Another song that gets me all misty is That I Would Be Good by Alanis Morissette. Her fragile vocals, the strings, her yelps at the end never fail to move me.
  15. Just curious. Have you not really explored it or have you and what you heard just wasn't your cup of tea?
  16. Find a Way - Samantha James Find a Way - A Tribe Called Quest
  17. They only had O'So Krispie on for the sole purpose a single they released after she won their reality show. They never intended on replacing Left Eye for good and I respect them for that. That girl was and still is irreplaceable imo.
  18. Exactly and I'm even more disappointed that Sheryl didn't own up to how wrong she was and apologize. I know folks have to have been blowing up her social media about it. Then again this is the same woman who apologized for making a distasteful joke about "nappy" hair being ugly two years after she said it... I know I shouldn't be surprised by anything anymore when it comes to her, but WTF?! is wrong with her?! Now that she's back full time I tune out as soon as she starts speaking so I missed that part. Somebody please drop a bucket of water on that bitch already.
  19. She did. She didn't say who it was (for obvious reasons), but she said he was an R&B one hit wonder and that the date rape occurred in the late 80's. Tammee, you've got to read Wendy's Got the Heat. That's her first memoir. She wrote another book called The Wendy Williams Experience where she dishes on some of her most controversial radio interviews.
  20. Thanks, Mikita. I wonder if they'll make Sheryl explain herself and/or apologize tomorrow. Whether she's forced to or does it of her own free will, she should.
  21. Janet Mock. I first saw her on another show a few years ago and I was shocked when she said she's trans. I'd never have guessed. Heather is becoming more likeable since she's ditched that bastard of a husband and dropped the "proper, self-righteous Christian" stereotype persona.
  22. I was proud of Sheryl for being passionate about the shooting story. She's been very vocal about many times in the past and I appreciate the way she expressed herself. I'm confused about her comments about the teacher/student relationship story. I was listening when Julie introed the story and Sharon laughed and cracked jokes about the woman's appearance (her usual bitchy behavior) and I must've spaced out because then the next thing I heard was Sara call Sheryl out for being hypocritical and Aisha making the point that even if the kid had done a full-on Magic Mike strip tease for her he is still a minor and she's a full grown woman who should've known better than to cross the line. Then I heard Sheryl joke that she'd share her opinion during the break because they were out of time. I would've checked to see if the episode was On Demand, but didn't feel like sitting through endless commercials. You didn't miss much. Lol.
  23. She had to have something funny in her tea cup when she wore that dress for the Sex and the City tour. Her boobs are humungous anyway, but they were even more ridiculous than usual on today's show. Exactly. I don't care how many number ones you have, how many movies you've made, etc. People who are continually late wouldn't take kindly to being on the opposite end of that situation. I've seen bits and pieces of Love and Hip Hop New York (I watch ATL) and thought Cardi B was just playing a character and either she's good at playing it no matter where she goes or she really is that weird. She seems harmless enough (from what I've seen), but the Nicki Minaj/Mork and Mindy-isms would get on my nerves pretty quick.
  24. I'll try to find it and post it tomorrow, but last year Aisha interviewed Sheryl on her podcast and she opened up more about her life and the traumas she suffered. It's amazing that she didn't hate her mother for putting her through hell as a child and to that woman's dying day she looked after her, but her mother was so unappreciative. Had Aisha in tears. Speaking of Aisha, THANK THE LORD SHE'S BACK! I'm not sure about Thursday and Friday, but Regina Hall and another woman are the guest co-hosts so I'm hoping Sharon's back on her broom to England to wreck some young hopeful's dreams. We can see that Aaron Carter looked a damn mess in his mug shot. We don't need the Wicked Witch of all people making fun of him for it. Especially since she's married to a mess herself.
  25. I bet that if Sharon weren't there Sasheer would've been able to contribute more. It takes that woman forever and a day to deliver her monologues and everyone else is supposed to just stay quiet and mindlessly nod at her "pearls of wisdom". As much as I'd like to see someone like Alyssa Milano join the show, I would also like to see another black co-host get that seat to counteract Sheryl's stereotypical "sassy black woman" routine. Sheryl's not as awful as she used to be with that, but it still bugs. LOL. It's probably from that ugly dye she uses.
