  1. Today was one of those shows where I watched the whole thing, but barely remembered any of it once it was over. I do remember her burping... again. Oy.
  2. That's Sharon's doing. She's the only one who would openly roll her eyes at Aisha and go out of her way to disagree with most of what she said. She didn't like Holly either. Intelligent women (especially women of color) who don't kiss her ass and agree with her every word annoy her. Eve isn't dumb, but she is nervous and holds back a lot so Sharon doesn't see her as a threat.
  3. You're very welcome, Mind! I remember seeing it back when it originally aired and although I didn't watch Sex and the City I'd seen enough clips of Samantha to know Christina's impersonation was on-point. You're right, Apprentice. I'd almost forgotten about Sara not having her turn. It probably would've been something lame like eating meat for a week. Lol. She's definitely awkward and out of her element, but I don't know. There's something about her that makes her awkwardness endearing to me. There are times that I see her opening up and doing a better job and then others where she's a bit unsure of herself. I like what she said about running towards her fear and confronting it instead of letting it keep her back. I think another reason I've warmed to her is because she reminds me of one of my cousins. They both do that thing where they laugh and cover their mouth with their hand/fist. She doesn't clap like a seal though. ;)
  4. Did you ever see Christina Aguilera's Samantha impression on SNL? She was spot-on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NPFU4kNcb4. It is sad. And senseless. Tragedies like this keep happening over and over again and it makes you wonder when the madness will end.
  5. The spoken intro of Janet Jackson's You Ain't Right Actual line: "This one's for the clubs" What I heard: "This one's for the clones" Actual line: "Ooh hoo, I'm sick and tired!" What I heard: "Ooh hoo, shake it tight!"
  6. I've just started The Sound of Gravel by Ruth Wariner. She was the 39th of 44 kids born to a polygamist father who died when she was a baby so she was raised by her mom and abusive stepdad in the Mexican desert. It grabbed my attention from the first page.
  7. I don't. She's a plumb fool for staying with that loser and allowing him to disrespect her time and time again while she rides back in that purple chair cackling over other people's lives and marital issues like we don't see that shit on her own doorstep. "Is Sammy Sosa's penis still black?" *giggle* "OOOH, HE HATE HIMSELF!" Wendy, you would know a lot about self-hatred.
  8. He's been a Top Talker on the show a few times over the years and his li- I mean, story, has to do with someone currently in the BB house so I see why he came on. The hosts didn't act like they believed or agreed with what he said, but what did bother me was that Piers waited until Omarosa was in the house and couldn't defend herself to tell this story and TPTB were equally as wrong for it too. People just live to be offended these days. Oh, about the SJP/Kim Cattrall story, I thought they covered everything. The one sentence they left out was where Kim said her mom called SJP "a hypocrite", but they mentioned Kim's initial tweet about her brother's passing, SJP sending her condolences and Kim's response. And thankfully Sara said just because Sharon said the church wrote a check doesn't mean it actually happened. I haven't watched a whole episode of The View in a long time, but one of the main reasons I stopped watching regularly (besides Elisabeth's nuttiness and Whoopi's everything) was because of the lack of fact-checking before discussions on certain topics. Especially when it pertained to more serious/political topics. Discussion and debate is great, but what's the point of talking about something if you don't have all the info? You say they've gotten better about that so that's good. There's no hope for the likes of Wendy Williams, but that's another story for another day. Lol. I hope Carnie comes back to guest host tomorrow, but something tells me the troll will be back. *sigh*
  9. We shouldn't automatically believe it, but we should automatically take it seriously and look into it. Unfortunately there are cases like what happened to Aziz Anzari and yes, there are liars. I never watched Frasier, but loved Girlfriends and got a kick out of finding out Kelsey was one of the executive producers. I enjoy her on the show, but sometimes she still hangs back a bit too much and she gets tongue twisted. Like when they were talking about Matthew Knowles, Eve kept fumbling over her words. True!
  10. I had a "what would Aisha have said?" moment when they were talking about that. I felt for Sara when she got emotional over her friend who was allegedly abused by Scott Baio. I liked the way they handled Nicole Eggert's interview. It's never too late to speak up about what has happened to you.
  11. At the rate she's going I don't think she'll make it another 5 years. It's only a matter of time before someone comes along with a similar show with a better host, topics and guests. I can't remember who on here mentioned her, but I agree that a show with Nina Parker as the host would be great. I saw her on an E talk show a few weeks ago and she was really good. Funny, shady without being a miserable wench and didn't say "I don't care" about every other story.
  12. Definitely. Heard it for years. I was a little surprised to see him on Wendy's show awhile back since she used to talk about him a lot back in the day. Tap, Sheryl! TAP, DAMN IT! I'm curious to see what Sara's "evolution" will be.
  13. I only saw the last few minutes of Hot Topics when Wendy was squatting in her chair like she was on the toilet, but what the Shih Tzu was up with her hair?! A mess!
  14. Thanks! Yup! Lol. I remember the first time he guest hosted in season 1 and even then he came dressed like he was going to the grocery store instead of a talk show and pulling up his shirt and going on and on about his "future wife". The man is fine and all, but there's no need to be so extra. Sara hasn't done the New Years Evolution thing yet, has she?
  15. What movie was that? THIS! I don't either. Even if he never touched a child himself, he was obviously getting off on watching children being abused. I read that one of his ex-girlfriends (might've been the one that reported him for having child porn, but I'm not totally sure) accused him of rape.
  16. Hopefully she will in a few months if her schedule allows it. Girl stays working. What Quincy Jones said was stupid and not funny, but Sharon was idiotic claiming he's a legend in his own mind. Someone needs to school her that Quincy's been doing his thing since long before Ozzy bit off a bat's head and peed on national monuments. I loved seeing Sara and Sheryl shut her down (mildly, of course) on that. I'd never seen Helen Mirren being interviewed before but enjoyed her appearance today. I thought she'd be stuffy for some reason, but she was fun.
  17. Hee. Thanks for the recommendation. :)
  18. Oh Lord. Another downside to Aisha being gone... Sharon "moderating". She looked like an idiot telling the camera how much she likes Toni Braxton's latest single and can't wait for her new album instead of facing Toni and saying it to her face. At least she didn't pull out the magic tricks hand gestures. Yet...
  19. There is a movie about her life. It's titled Nina and Zoe Saldana played her. I haven't seen it myself, but remember the controversy after pics were released of Zoe in dark makeup wearing a prosthetic nose. As for the book, it sounds interesting. I know some of Nina's music (my grandmother loved her), but not a lot about her life.
  20. It was and it was fun to watch. I like the goofy side of the Chenbot. Jenifer Lewis had me rollin' today with her funny, sassy self. I had no idea she had a book out until today and from what I've read about it online it's pretty juicy.
  21. I think his name was Jason. I also noticed that I haven't seen Suzanne in a long time. Not that I'm complaining. As bitchy as Wendy usually is to her, the chick does work a nerve with all that screeching. I clapped through the TV with the audience today when she asked them if they didn't care about Heidi and Spencer and booking them on the show and laughed when she got annoyed and crossed her arms. As obnoxious and attention-starved as the Kardashians are, at least they're still relevant. For now, anyway.
  22. I'm so glad my back was turned when she did that. Tacky, nasty, classless. The list goes on and on with that woman.
  23. The Chenbot rapping? Sounds like it'll be a trainwreck.... and I'm here for it! Lol.
  24. Thanks for the answers. I suspected that would be the case. I watched one segment of 50 Cent's interview and turned it off. Don't care for him or Sharon fawning over him. On the flipside, I loved Hugh Jackman's interview. Not only is he sexy as all hell (that body and that accent do thangs to me!), he seems like such a sweet, down to earth man.
