  1. I missed the first half of today's show and don't feel like watching it on demand. Did they all eat Sharon's "creation"?
  2. THIS! Wendy should've brought that up when he mentioned the rape allegations against Weinstein. Wendy prides herself on asking questions that'll make her guests squirm, but she failed today. Girl, Wendy's shade is about as subtle as a bull in a china shop! Lol!
  3. I remember seeing Holly in the audience of an award show about a year after she was fired and Sheryl was one of the presenters. I don't know if their paths crossed there, but I wouldn't be surprised if they have at some other point. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but in her book Leah mentioned seeing Julie passing by her dressing room when she was filming another show at CBS and she said they shared an awkward hug and brief conversation, but she was glad to let go of the anger she'd been holding on to. Is your weather bad too, Mikita? We've got snow and sleet (which we rarely get around here) and the power went out so I missed today's show when it aired, but watched it on demand. It was pretty good. Good luck to whoever has to eat Sharon's creation tomorrow. Something tells me eye of newt and toe of frog are involved...
  4. Chenoa, it makes her more real.... Real nasty. ;) I watched some of Wendy on The View this morning and rolled my eyes when she was whining about being skinny shamed. Like she's not guilty of shaming others for their weight, appearance, age, etc.
  5. She does look younger without it. Speaking of Tamera, I'm loving her natural hair this season as well. Aaw, I still miss Aisha too. Especially her thoughts on the sexual harassment issue. Hopefully she'll drop and guest host sometime. I caught that and was surprised she said it was on someone on the show rather than her usual vague "someone I used to work with *hint, hint*". Maybe if Sharon hadn't called Leah's family "lowlifes" and compared them to the Mafia Leah wouldn't have threatened to knock her upside the head with a glass...
  6. I'm sorry about your loss, Tenarife. As for Carnie, I thought she said her eyebrows eventually grew back, but they weren't as full. Eve has nothing to worry about. She looks just fine without the makeup.
  7. You're welcome, Mind! :) I laughed when she called Wendy's shade out about Oprah and Gayle. "Yes, Oprah was there with her man Stedman and her friend Gayle!"
  8. She said Oprah won for "being great". I thought she said raped too, but watched it again on YouTube. Ditto on Wendy's extra bitchiness today. She was rude to some of the audience members during the Hot Topics sound off segment too. Every other show I've seen has talked about how powerful Oprah's speech was, but leave it to Ms. Wendy to be the petty one. SMH.
  9. I've been enjoying the break, but does anyone know if she'll be back next week?
  10. Hee. I didn't either. I put her in Google to see if anything would pop up about it and clicked on the link to her Twitter page when I didn't find anything. I don't use Twitter either. I got an account about 8 years ago, tweeted one person and haven't been on it since. Don't use Instagram or Snapchat either. Angela Bassett is not only a talented actress (I LOVE the scene in WLGTDWI where Tina fights back and kicks Ike's ass!), but she's a very gorgeous woman. I looked up her age and was surprised to read she's turning 60 this year.
  11. I found this on her Twitter page: https://twitter.com/therealeve?lang=en. It was nice seeing Carnie. I wonder if TPTB ever offered her a full time spot and she decided to turn it down. Hmm...
  12. Happy New Year, kitty cats! ;) They're BAAAAAAAACK.... tomorrow. Dylan McDermott's on tomorrow, Angela Bassett Wednesday and Jessica Chastain (YAY!) on Thursday. I don't see any guest hosts lined up so "Mrs. O" will be there. *groan*
  13. Agreed. In that moment I saw the young Wendy who never felt accepted for her weight, looks and being "too white" to the few black kids she went to school with. Instead of looking back at those years and making the effort not to cut down others, she's used her platform to trash people left and right. It's like that old saying about hurt people hurting people.
  14. Yeah, she's gotten better about that, because I remember her clapping like a wind-up doll to every other thing anyone at the table. Now she saves that for when she finds out an old show is getting a reboot or a hot male celebrity is single. I've never watched Jane the Virgin, but I enjoyed Gina Rodriguez's interview. Seems like a sweet girl and I liked her rapport with Eve and Hilary Duff.
  15. And now Mario Batali from The Chew and Tavis Smiley are the latest sleazy creeps getting caught out. All the others who are guilty might as well out themselves, because they'll be caught out too. *said like Wendy* What in the Cabbage Patch Kids was up with Sheryl's look today?
  16. Thanks for that link. I know Tamar hasn't publicly claimed domestic abuse herself, but this is the third or fourth time that her mother has made those claims and Tamar hasn't said anything about it. Tamar's done a few interviews since filing for divorce and claimed that things are cordial between her and Vince so if she knows he's not guilty of abuse she should release a statement saying so.
  17. Just finished Warriors Don't Cry and I'm on the waiting list for Tiger Eyes. Can't wait to read it. :)
  18. Surprisingly Sharon wasn't cracking jokes about it. Sheryl could've saved her joke about his package (or whatever term she used) not being all that impressive. I didn't know he'd had a stroke and it would've helped if the producers had given the hosts that piece of info before they talked about it. Speaking of jokes that could've been saved, Sharon's about Matt Lauer's hand smelling and wondering what his golf club smells like was repulsive. Blech.
  19. I don't know how she's able to sleep at night. Everybody and their dog knows her marriage is a sham and the big ogre she's married to continues going out and about with his side chick. Oh, that's right. Ms. Wendy said she's just a "family friend". *eye roll* And speaking of her hatred of other women, what the hell did Ashanti ever do to her? I'm not the biggest Ashanti fan, but I can't think of anything she's said or done to justify Wendy's nastiness. No, she's not the best singer and she'll never reach Beyoncé and Rihanna's level of fame and success, but clearly someone likes her music and is willing to pay to see her. All Wendy's done her whole career is talk shit about people and that's not exactly a talent.
  20. I hate to doubt domestic abuse claims, but I'm not too sure I believe Tamar's. It's been mentioned a few times before, but I also see that those two have a seriously dysfunctional relationship and know how to push each other's buttons, but if your spouse is beating the shit out of you and sending you to the hospital, I don't think you'd scream and curse at them the way Tamar has Vince the last few episodes. He might not hit you in front of people, but the cameras have to pack up and leave at some point.
  21. She should definitely write a book. I'm curious to know who the singer was that recently mistook Julie for Connie Chung. I saw Maury on Wendy Williams's show a few years ago and he had an old photo of him and Connie and if I hadn't known better I would've sworn it was Julie. Back when Julie had shorter hair, of course. I'm liking Eve more now that she seems more settled and isn't shy about speaking. I wish she'd stop reading from her cards so much though.
  22. This Sharon-free week has been pretty good. Speaking of Suzanne Somers, I don't get why celebrities feel the need to brag about how much sex they have with their spouse. Good for her and hubby that they get it on twice a day, but I don't need to know. Same with Will and Jada. "We know how to keep it spicy in the bedroom! We don't just have sex there. We screw in the kitchen, in the car, in the bushes, in the closet, in the oven..." Something I forgot to mention that moved me was last week when they were talking about the young lady who had her abusive mother killed and how she admitted that she deserved some prison time, but she desperately needed professional mental health. Then Sheryl spoke about her own abuse and how she fantasized about killing the people who molested her, but her faith in God and the few good people around her kept her from doing it. Everyone's eyes were wet at that table.
  23. As long she's complacent with half-assing her way through the show her staff will do a half-ass job of prepping her as well.
  24. I loved Judy Blume growing up. I never read Tiger Eyes, but loved the Fudge series, Iggie's House, Blubber and of course Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret. Right now I'm reading Warriors Don't Cry by Melba Pattillo Beals about her experience as one of the Little Rock Nine. I don't know how they made it through that hell of bigotry and violence and I couldn't imagine going through it as a teenager or an adult.
  25. Today when Eve talked about some being shocked that she's an articulate woman I immediately thought of Sharon. I know she wasn't talking about her, but that sounds like something Sharon would say or at least think. "She speaks correctly and intelligently. But she's a hippity hop artist from the ghetto!" Speaking of Sharon, that satellite bit was a waste of time. Sharon has no connection with the Royal Family so why bother talking to her about the engagement just because she happens to be in London?
