  1. Lucienne getting knocked over by the door "unexpectedly" opening and dropping her gun was ridiculous. The two of them totally botching the operation and then standing around congratulating themselves for not getting hurt was also ridiculous. What about the poor guy at the piano with a bullet in his head! I did enjoy the sniping at Not Musk though.
  2. He gave up his arm for MONEY, so no sympathy from me. Maybe Caitlin figures he'd be better off in prison than with Eve, and I don't disagree with that. Is it just me, or is there something disturbing about Nick's face? The top half doesn't seem to go with the bottom half.
  3. That doesn't really make sense to me since he would have known what the Taliban's moves would be even before putting the whole kidnap plot in motion. Plus I think the enclave was well aware that they were always in danger and the lithium mine was just a temporary stop-gap measure. You don't get to be an Old Man in Afghanistan without knowing your enemies well.
  4. What the hell was that death match between Emily/Angela and Hamzad?! I just don't understand why a father would go to such effort to reunite with his child and then try to kill her. She had no choice in leaving and apparently her "loving" mother lied to her about her whole life. And then Hamzad decides to keep her safe in the cave hideout like the fight never happened.
  5. I thought he looked like over-the-hill Hitler.
  6. Wonderful interview with Ben Daniels in the NY Times television section!
  7. Bill has his very own op-ed in today's NY Times, with his views on who the Democrats should run instead of Biden.
  8. I had the same problem with huge subtitles on an Acorn show on Roku and found out the following: On your Roku remote, Navigate to Settings. Select Accessibility. Proceed to the Caption style. Then, Text size. After this one, select your preferred text size.
  9. Santiago insisted to the audience that none of it was real, he even gave a little speech before the Grand Finale that what they were about to see was fake. And I'm sure the entire company was working some kind of mind meld stuff to affect their memories. Why not? It seems like everyone in the show, vampire and mortal, has had their memories tweaked to the point where we're all being told stories by Unreliable Narrators. Not one character wants to face the truth for immortality; that's a long time to live with whatever evil they've done. I would like to see more of that vampire production of Waiting for Godot!
  10. That was riveting and brutal. I don't even like Claudia, but her defiance at the end was amazing. The whole trial had a subtle nod to "A Matter of Life and Death", one of my favorites. Ben Daniels has been delicious all season! Sam Reid is one of the most beautiful creatures on earth....
  11. There's an op-ed piece by Maureen Dowd all about how wonderful Bill is in Saturday's NYT. I gave up on him a while ago, but if you're interested in his daily diet, among other things, enjoy.
  12. No, the credits roll uninterrupted. A lot of the older movies have the credits before the movie starts, but I guess now with so many credits for cgi artists, animators, food service providers, accountants etc. half the audience would be asleep before the action started!
  13. Unless I'm very mistaken, all that stuff with Nina happened on Most Wanted.
  14. He was in Ocean's 11,12,and 13.
  15. This times 1000! I thought the plot twist was going to be NewRoomie working with grieving insane widower. Even though she wasn't, I still think she's up to something. Have none of these tech people seen 2001? Don't they know about HAL?
  16. I've watched a couple of shows on Freevee that I would've had to pay for elsewhere. Also I watch stuff on Pluto via Roku, like Perry Mason and Frasier.
  17. I'm really disappointed that Hegarty didn't kill Tony. It looked like he was going to when he stood behind the sofa, but no. No one in the 62s was a prince, but slimy Tony was the worst.
  18. I'm sure everyone in that town knew what was going on and the majority agreed with him that it was the girl's fault. In all these cases it was always the girl's fault and she was incarcerated while the man's life went on as usual. Speaking of someone deserving a punch, it just broke my heart to see Lorna abused and cowed by that bitch of a nun an episode or 2 ago.
  19. Navarro pushed Leah out of the way and beat the crap out of that trooper.
  20. Not sure I can accept that a jury would believe a witness who was so tainted. Even though the state dropped child porn charges, couldn't he be held on federal charges?
  21. Setting aside the fact that when you're angry and sad it can feel really good to hit something, Navarro was definitely punishing herself for not being able to save her sister. It doesn't matter that her sister was probably never going to be saved, at least not without years of heavy therapy and meds that she likely wouldn't have been able to afford. Plus she might be experiencing guilt for feeling the tiniest bit relieved that the agony is over for both of them. Well, until the sister comes back as a ghost and brings some "fresh hell" with her. The dead are never really gone.
  22. Probably because her fame and/or money gave her access to excellent lawyers that the DA's office wasn't eager to face. Hugh Dancy was so good in Hannibal, why is he so blah here?
  23. Not "tame", he said "break". And I have no doubt he meant that in every sense of the word.
