  1. Do my eyes deceive me or are they going to have to shimmy around that tree every time they enter or leave that room?
  2. If Tony talks for more than about 3 minutes he can almost always find a way to make me gag.
  3. The kids weren't initially paid for being on the show and I'm not sure at what age they began receiving show money. It's appeared to be some time before they married so possibly early 20s or maybe they were smarter than the average reality kids and asked for payment at age 18. Zach has been accused of being tight with money so he may well have saved/invested quite a bit. They think they can make it without the show so hopefully they have run the numbers realistically.
  4. The amount of food was the first thing I noticed. That's indeed quite a lot for someone supposedly losing weight. That's close to enough for me for an entire day possibly more than I have some days. I'm considered a normal weight (BMI) for my height.
  5. I'm guessing Tori and Zach are there or almost there on the ending of show income so I guess we'll soon see if one of them takes paying work. Teaching soccer or kindergarten isn't going to maintain their recent standard of living with three children. Is it possible they've saved a lot more money than the viewers have guessed?
  6. If LPBW goes on past the upcoming season almost ready, we'll allegedly be down to the two 60ish aged couples. I can't see beyond one season of that if TLC bothers to even make a season of it.
  7. I especially love the part about the two selfish toads can see the results of the money so they know it's there and they can't touch it.
  8. Most of their married daughters don't seem to care about parental modesty standards any more after leaving home. They seem to set their own standards on a lot of things after marriage.
  9. UP ditched a filmed and edited seaon of Bates for a so far not disclosed reason. What I've read, TLC finished filming the most recent season of Little People this fall and is planning to air it, but haven't schedule it yet.
  10. From Jill's point of view this is perfect. It's free "education" and the church is even providing room and board.
  11. I doubt it. I wouldn't allow them in my pre-school classroom. It's simply another example of the non-parenting of the "precious baby" of the family. They seem to infantilize her to an extreme.
  12. Some TLC decisions do not appear logical on the surface. I do think post got slower during the pandemic though.
  13. What are the food items in the first photo? Those look like meagre portions for Ben.
  14. Laws and regulations about permits and inspections vary from location to location even within the same county. To install a replacement water heater two miles from me requires a permit and following inspection yet I'm free to replace mine at will with zero oversight. My neighbors didn't require a permit to put a deck behind their house as long as it wasn't x feet above ground level. I'm not saying the Duggars don't likely ignore building regulations, but they do vary considerably across the country.
  15. It has its uses. My neighbor's 75 year old husband goes on 2 hour walks 6 days a week. He was overdue and she checked and he wasn't nearly as close to home as he should have been even running late. She called me and we drove straight to him instead of having to guess his route. He'd fallen so I took them straight to the ER.
  16. Jill is 45. She doesn't need herbs to keep her from getting pregnant. Her odds of pregnancy drop every day and her odds of a miscarriage should she conceive go up every day.
  17. So much of post production depends on how many bodies they're willing to assign - how much the network/production company is willing to spend. With TLC it's apparently not much.
  18. Shunt replacement or revision.
  19. I think and hope that Jill's future in-laws will have her number and grifting off the in-laws will end. Perhaps it will even have an upward effect on the two SILs.
  20. I don't think Meri has a circle phobia. She's right that squared shapes are more efficient for storage so she prefers them. Many people prefer straight rather than curved edges. That she also likes the steam punk look means she has some tolerance of circles, she just doesn't want them everywhere.
  21. When the original furnace was installed in this house, the thermostat was in the coldest area of the house. When I got a new furnace, I said please leave it there it works bettter for me. When they left, I noticed that they'd moved the thermostat to a foot or two from the furnace. I complained but they said it was "more efficient." It's also now in the warmest spot in the house whether heat is running or not.
  22. Savanah is 18. She has less than a semester of college right now, right? I was going on the post above. I'm barely making it through the episodes. I doubt I'll go fishing for bonus scenes. Whoever thought of that trick to get more viewers needs to be hung over a waterfall by their ankles. (figuratively of course)
  23. Possibly just as effective as sitting in the hot tub every night.
  24. Keep dreaming Gwen. Does she realize to be a psychiatrist, she has to become a medical doctor, to do that she has to get into med school and part of that is passing organic chemistry? Unless Gwen has been hiding her capabilities, I don't think is going to work out.
