  1. I can't stress enough that if you hate Lestat You should stop watching. He is the main character going forward. Very, very main character. And he won't just talk, he will also sing - a lot.
  2. I want him to lose. Really I want him dead. Sorry, Colin.
  3. Whether there is a second season or not I won't be watching more of this. It's just too much a downer for me what with one thing or another in the last week. I am proud of myself that I stopped rooting for OZ even in the slightest last episode. Him killing Victor was just so awful for me. I hope the young actor gets more good roles. He is just so talented. He would make an excellent live action Miles Morales. I will watch the next Batman movie just to see Oz destroyed and for Sofia alive to know it.
  4. I am guessing - since I have not tasted his bakes - that Dylan is "gifted". I am sure that the judges, especially Paul are certain of this. When he excels - like in this episode - his bakes look professional with an outstanding modern design. Dylan could win this if he doesn't fall apart like in the Autumn episode. So could Georgie. I also find Christiaan to be a dark horse candidate for the win. Gill using canned peaches made me doubt she could be the final winner.
  5. Oz is a piece of doodoo willing to do anything, kill anybody to get away alive. He is not a penguin. They should call him the cockroach. He created his mothers various hang-ups by killing his brothers. He made her not she him. I am hoping Sofia survives and finds some kind of semblance of acceptance in herself. I am hoping Victor doesn't come back to him and survives. I know none of this will happen. And that sucks.
  6. I don't understand the "insufferable" either. He knew he wasn't doing well and that was bound to stress him out. He seems more the introverted type.
  7. He was genuinely upset. I had a terrible time this episode. Both my faves Nellie and Dylan clearly in the bottom, one of them to go. There was no way I was going to be happy with the outcome. And I am not happy. I hate these themed episodes.
  8. What a bummer! The baker with the most personality this go around has been let go. They should give her a show. I am kind of in shock.
  9. I thought the finale was beautiful to watch. I am still trying to work out in my mind how I actually feel about it. For a Disney show this turned out to be quite lets say morally nebulous. Agatha killed a lot of innocent women through the centuries and certainly not for altruistic reasons. Her doomed relationship with her son made me want to weep. Who was the father of the boy? Did she create him from scratch? And then there is Billy - he had a body count too. He killed people I really liked and who didn't deserve their fate. How did he actually save Jen, the one that got away? The show did stick the landing for me.
  10. Yes. Noel and Alison do have lovely chemistry. I have always liked Noel. It is his job to interact with the bakers. He can be a bit of a klutz and his sense of humor is a taste that some may never aquire but I don't see any meanness in him. In this case Sumayah was a bit snappish with him - because hey stress.
  11. Oh crap, this episode cliff hangered me good.
  12. A man who slaughters lambs or has them slaughtered ought to be prepared that not everyone is going to like that. I am entitled to my feelings about that and quite frankly I don't feel guilty at all. Why should I feel bad about Mike? And as to the other bakers using meat in their bakes - that may be , but Mike was the one who boasted about the dead lamb in his bake, so I singled him out.
  13. I don't think it's all Marvel watchers that are hating on the show. It's that part of the internet that hates females and minorities. Like The Critical Stinker and the Nerd phony if you catch my drift.
  14. My favorite episode. It was beautifully acted and beautiful to look at.
  15. Smiles. Am I the only one who likes this show and wants another season?
  16. Yes! I am not rooting for Oz. His expression while they burned and screamed.... I have empathy moments for him and I appreciate any kindness he has shown Victor - I know I am naive there. I am rooting for Victor and I can't help cheering for Sofia. That's where I am at this moment.
  17. Batman canon would dictate that Oz will come out on top at the end of the season. I am more than ever convinced that Victor is not getting out of this series alive. I used to watch Breaking Bad back in the day and the survival of Jesse is an outlier to me, very much not the usual outcome with those kind of dynamics at play. I have a crazy love for Sofia.
  18. Most of the time I want to try what they make but I have never liked caramel, too sweet and I don't care for the sticky texture. Noel is a bit of a klutz isn't he. So far the right people have been going home every week.
  19. Well it wouldn't always be but in this case I agree. Billy Kaplan and his parents had a loving relationship and Teen/Billy has forged a loving relationship with them. So why break their hearts.
  20. Yes, I like that they had the gumption to bring back Ralph Boner. I too remember a fan boys kerfuffle over that character. It's so hard to keep track of all the fan boy rage, there being a cottage industry of fan boys kerfuffling all over. I really like the actor who plays Billy, he is very expressive. When Agatha mentioned "Robo Papa" I was all please give me Paul Bettany back.
  21. How would we have known that Sofia was innocent before watching this episode? I think I remember you from The Mandalorian thread as a - gasp! - Baby Yoda hater. Grins. I guess I am destined to be always disagreeing with you. I think the Sofia actor is extraordinarily gifted and I had never heard of her before this show. I am so glad she is getting a chance to shine here.
  22. In the good old days this used to be a convenient way to shuffle off inconvenient wives and daughters to mad houses for "nervous disorders". It was so easy to do because women used to be legally property of the husband and father. I am going to naively hope that it is not so easy today in real life, at least in the blue states.
  23. Best episode of the series so far. Yeah, I am rooting for you Sofia.
  24. I am a vegetarian. No need to preach to me what we do to our fellow creatures and how they die in terror and agony for our pleasure.
  25. The one thing that gave me a bad taste was the lamb. I just have a big problem with killing and eating a creature that hasn't even had any life, a baby. I admit I have taken against that particular baker because of that.
