  1. How was Edge of Extinction even fair as far as getting back in the game? Natalie had been there since day 3 collecting a massive store of fire tokens. She basically bought her way back into the game. She obviously would not have won the challenge without her 3 advantages. Other players who had not been there as long did not have equal opportunity to bank fire tokens and buy advantages. In conclusion, fire tokens suck even more than Edge of Extinction.
  2. That food sounded amazing. I have never eaten cauliflower crust or fake meat that tasted good, but all the sharks were loving it. Too bad he was so hopped up the sharks were put off. He seemed super caffeinated or something. Even after Laurie called him out, he didn't even apologize! I think he could have saved it if he had just said, "I'm sorry, I'm nervous and didn't realize how fast I was talking, please allow me to answer your questions Laurie."
  3. The brother-in-law was hyper involved to the point it was weird. I only remembered I'd seen this one when he started talking about painting Sarah's nails. And his reaction after he found her body. WTF was that? Them putting signs all over the place during the trial could have derailed the whole thing.
  4. Based on what I have seen so far, I hope they don't just lock into these judges and feel they have to keep them for 12 seasons. Out of all the possible people, I can't believe they ended up with Andy! With Jock, I can see they were probably hoping he would be the Marcus Wearing guy, but he does not have the gravitas, authority, breadth, or the ability to describe dishes. Andy is just like some guy wandered in off the street and pronounced a dish was "bangin'!"
  5. Do shows not have to pay for music rights in AU. Cuz that would explain why when other courties air episodes they may remove the theme song. It also would explain how The Block can constantly play popular hits as background music all episode long, every episode. I think it was the same for Top Model. I would always think, how do they afford that?! As for Katy, it was fun, but damn, girl sure loves the camera. I think her antics would get tiring quickly. WTF with her acting like duck was some totally obscure thing like eating guinea pig or something. Reece was the highlight of the show for me. I was trying to think if I have every been that starstruck. Maybe when I met Dame Edna, and again when I met Spalding Gray. ....wow, I'm a geek!
  6. Sorry Probst, your emphatic 10 minute speech at the beginning of the finale did not convince me that this was the most amazing, stupdendous, exciting, surprising, emotional season ever. (Um, that would be the recently completed Australian Survivor All Stars.) But anyway, EOE sucks, Fire Token were a bust, all the whispering at tribal bullshit was annoying, and Tony was a shoo-in! I can't even think of any episodes that stood out except maybe Denise getting Sandra out.
  7. Is John Oliver still playing around with her, or is that over?
  8. Mystery Box wasn't a terrible twist. I know I often go to restaurants, and after I order, I pull a fig out of my purse and demand it be worked into my dish. I guess they didn't use the footage of Poh reading a magazine.
  9. Mikey hasn't given Sasha a second thought. Sonny looked jealous when Mike was responding to Avery but then blew off his special mix tape. Lulu can do whatever she wants but why would she and Dustin think it's a good idea to sucker punch Olivia at work asking her to help make cupcakes so Rocco and Dustin can take them to Take Your Father To School Day. I mean, how obtuse are you?
  10. Stupid elimination twist. And stupid Jock: They have to be prepared for stuff like this that happens in real kitchens. Yeah, cuz chefs always have to make super complicated desserts without recipes. Amina was crying in her very first talking head, so I figured she was going, but of course we still had to suffer through the Oh No Poh Might Go show. I feel really bad for Amina. And I'm starting to wish they had kept Gary and Matt and just put Mel with them. Other than that, this week is great. : D
  11. The kiss was gross. Mikey has always been hot for Willow and was constantly horning in on Chase and Willow when they first started dating. He's psyched to be trading up from Sasha. I was hoping Nelle would go to Valentine. How is marrying an ex-mobster going to help Nelle's case? Having said that, I can see Julian and Nelle having some decent hate sex, like what we had hoped for Nick and Ava.
  12. At the event Molly kind of let her guard down and was being friendly with Issa --dancing with her and bringing her food-- then just after that Molly felt she was slighted by Issa once again (whether it was valid or not), so maybe that felt like a sucker punch to Molly, causing the inappropriate outburst. Still seems out of character for me that she would nearly come to blows with Issa.
  13. Can't read yet cuz I haven't watched elimination, but I just had to pop in and say that during the team challenge I saw Simon give Sarah a taste of a sauce, then dip the spoon back into the sauce and put it into his mouth for a taste, then put it back in the sauce. Later Reynold tasted his twill dough by licking the spatchula he was using to smear it onto the tray. This is making me not want to eat out anytime soon! I hope the emotional goodbye is for Poh, cuz I have grown tired of the Poh Show and I did not appreciate how she wrangled the captain position away from Collum.
  14. I wish they hadn't gone quite so far over the top. The cop just blowing off a murder was too far ...or, too fucking far, as this show would say. The son almost finding out every episode was reminding me of The Americans with Paige. So, the body was found. Based on the flashbacks of the murder and burial, there is zero chance Jen's DNA is not all over that body. But I'm sure she'll get out of it again. I enjoyed the more realistic plotting and character development of season 1 and really savored those episodes. This season, I blew through the episodes like I would a batch of General Hospitals I had saved up on the DVR. It's like a high quality soap opera to me now, but certainly good enough to keep watching.
  15. It is the eve of the court hearing and Mikey and Willow are what, going to run out and get married overnight. Cuz that will look so convincing and genuine to the court. White bread is right. Those two are so vanilla it will be excruciating if they win custody and we are forced to watch their Leave It To Beaver life. FYI, I was watching a Two and Half Men rerun the other day (don't judge, the first couple seasons are actually funny) but anyway Charlie was dating an older woman and her 32 year old son was Shiloh!
  16. I find it totally unbelievable that the nice, handsome, successful chiropractor would fall for Jen. She is a brittle alcoholic sourpuss who sneers everything she says. But then maybe there is something wrong with him too, cuz if I was looking for my brother who went missing and might be dead, I would be getting excited about some new guy at this time.
  17. Kind of disappointed with the way this played out. JC is amazing as usual, but it was kind of just the same pattern V has shown with any people she meets. Initially she is bemused by them, maybe has a bit of fun playing with them, but then she end up killing them cuz they put her off, maybe showing mercy to a kid or something. I was kind of hoping for more. Also, if V's mom is also a psychopath, I would have liked for them to have a psychopath to psychopath talk before V killed her. Did her mom just sit there and let V kill her? Mom didn't bat an eye when V said she killed many people. I would have just liked to hear an exchange where they talked about what living with the "darkness" is like.
  18. This challenge was a bit muddled for me considering the food sits around for god knows how long anyway before the judges taste it. I know for MC UK the judges run out to everyones stations and taste right away, then have a formal tasting that is filmed. Not sure what they do for AU. Not sure it added anything for Melissa to be at home. Ben is starting to excel with non-frozen things and I'm bummed he is going to disappear. ....And I really want to know why?!?!
  19. Can't believe Laurie was so moved by the potty woman that she gave her a "pity" deal. I mean, from what I could tell, the woman was not crying over her own sacrifices, but because her parents had sacrificed so much to send her to college. Then she becomes an accountant with a good job, then leaves that career and mortgages the house for an unproven concept that all 5 of the sharks rejected. It's her parents that should be crying! I doubt anything comes of it.
  20. The first season was excellent, but it seems this season is not going to be as good. There was a LOT of plot to unfold in Season One, whereas this season it's only "will they get caught." ...Oh, and also "who will sleep with Steve's twin." Jen is even more super brittle and shrill, and I cannot root for her at all now, cuz she flat out murdered Steve, who didn't deserve it. So I want her to get caught. I am glad Steve had a twin though, cuz I like the actor.
  21. Why the hell would Sasha and Chase continue to go to Sonny's gym --like they would still be welcome there. Sonny: "Dad. Dad! DAD! C'mon! You gotta remember something! Just one thing! Can you do that for me?!" What a jerk! Sam can dish it out (to Alexis about Neil), but can't take it from Krissy about Jason. Hope they flashback to Krissy's tirade again and again!
  22. I simply cannot believe someone as cute, charming, likeable, calm, sane, etc., as Ben would choose to get serious with Darlene who is a shrill, controlling, demanding, broke, cheating, lying loser. Aside from a decent sense of saracasm and caustic humor, what is there to actually like about Darlene?! Was hoping they would keep Becky single and have her be a dating single mother. Will be interesting to see what they do with next season.
  23. I don't see how Eve gets over the guilt from Niko's death. He had already been through so much because of his association with her, and now it gets him killed even though he was trying to get away from her. If she really loved him she should have let him go, especially when she knew V was back and she was getting fully involved Carolyn and her pursuit of the 12 again.
  24. I was underwhelmed with the final bakes. I thought all of them could have reflected their decade better, and none of them were showstoppers. (TM)Great British Bake Off The bakers know the challenge ahead of time, yes? Could they not have googled?
  25. I think everyone had. Not much was said about him again after the injury until he turned up on the field last season, and even then the commentators were like, "great to see him" but never even mentioned what a horror he had been through. To his credit he just had his head down and was working hard. I'm sure there are a lot of stories like this for lesser known players. They get carted off the field and the fans give them some applause, and they are never seen or thought of again. It really is a blood sport. ...but I still love it.
