  1. Glad I was not on this jury. The thing that bothers me most about Chris was that he made zero effort to help his wife nor even just BE with her after she was shot. If he had said, "I freaked the fuck out and was terrified and hid in the garage," I could actually maybe believe that. But he didn't. He turned the light on, went for the phone, noticed the door was open, checked on his daughter. For him to just say that she "looked dead". I mean, WTF?! Of course, Jeremy had some WTF stuff too which others have already mentioned. And the way Jeremy pointed the cops toward Chris being guilty with information about their fights and divorce and other stuff that supposedly came from the daughter who swore him to secrecy, well, if that was all lies as Chris claimed it was, you would think the daughter would not have stayed with Jeremy. So if it was Jeremy, I do think the daughter is complicit.
  2. Episodes 10-12 Monica's skills test in 10: Okay when Marcus says, "Wow that is a lot of butter" then that IS A LOT of butter, cuz dude puts an entire stick in for pretty much anything. : D Damn, Bart's workspace is more tidy and organized than my silverware drawer. Love to watch him cook. ... ... don't know if I am buying that he is only 33 though. : D I can't believe we are at finals week already. : (
  3. Just came here to agree I would rather have noLucas than nuLucas. Jesus God is he wooden. Also, can't they put the the prompter somewhere where Mo can read it without looking like a lunatic staring away from the person he is talking to?
  4. Cyrus has become quite the town gossip, running around blabbing that Julian planted the bomb and Taggert is still alive. If only he would tell Nina that Nelle is her daughter. Hope we do see WDv again, he really got shafted these last few years. There are no words in the English language to describe my hatred for Carly.
  5. I was bored. And I LOVE The Amazing Race. I wonder how it's doing in the ratings. So bummed we won't be getting a new season of BBC's Race Across the World. That is a true travel race. ETA: Season 2 of the BBC show is still available on line. If anyone wants to watch and needs help finding the episodes, just shoot me a PM.
  6. I think the judges are jabbing at Lorenzo so it doesn't seem like he has it in the bag. I would rather see one gorgeous looking cheesecake than a three-flavored monstrosity!
  7. I got that feeling a couple weeks ago when Dante first came back and he and Maxie had a sweet conversation, just the two of them, at the Rib. It would be oh so soapy if they leaned on each other what with Dante devastated over Lulu, and Maxie soon to be devastated over Peter, only to find love. ...and of course this is when Lulu wakes up!
  8. Episodes 7-9 Also curious about the missing chef?! Why be so secretive?! It seemed to me in epi 7 they put someone through (the French guy) who really didn't deserve it. I would have preferred if they just put the one through and said, "because a contestant dropped out, the judges will be putting through someone from a previous round that they felt was most deserving." And there were a couple that were way more deserving than Frenchie! I wonder if some of the ones who do quite badly are worried it will actually hinder their careers outside of the show. I love cabbage and that dish would be right up my alley! Jay Raynor cracks me up too. On Luke's wagu beef dish, the female judge pointed out that it wasn't anything new and Jay says .. "perhaps, but I am glad it's coming my way!"
  9. That was hard to watch. Josh did a great job during a lot of those interviews just trying to stay neutral, cuz that was bad fucking soap opera of people acting like dirtbags. The detective included. Really? He releases the crime scene without collecting the blood in the bathroom, or the blood smear on the bed?! Or making sure if the clip in the gun was ejected or not? How about testing the husbands hands for gun shot residue? Jesus God! Then the defense attorney trying to smear the victim with all that she was trying to "hitch her star" to a new man bullshit, to which Josh finally had it with that and shut him right down. Ugh. Don't know if he did it. If he didn't, he seemed to bea actively trying to push her to do it with the blatant cheating and by ignoring her when she was melting down. Either way, he strutted out of the courtroom with his cool shades on like a man who got away with something.
  10. Just like Peter with LW. So even in real life, the Corinthii get special treatment! I was laughing my ass off at Franco and Lulu's huge skull bandages with the blinking Christmas lights on them. It must have been hard for RH and DZ to do those bedside scenes without cracking up. So the Corinthii clan are now aware that Dev was killed by a Cyrus bomb meant for Jason, yet Carly is still loud and proud with the life "I chose and chose for my kids!" ~Mother of the year!
  11. I know it probably didn't affect the outcome, but being able to yield the same team twice in one leg is bullshit. None of the other racers seem to have any affection for the girls this whole race. I find that odd since they seem to have the most pleasant personalities of the bunch. A lot of the tasks were uninteresting or unpleasant. I'm grateful to have any Amazing Race, but I can see why they shelved this season.
  12. I was rooting for Dave, but neither he nor Peter's show-stoppers stopped my show. I blame the producers for coming up with these requirements that seem to make it nearly impossible to do a beautiful design. I didn't feel Laura belonged in the finale. She was out of her depth, and looked utterly defeated and joyless throughout all three bakes. It was hard to watch, as I both felt bad for her, but also wished someone else was there who might have been a real darkhorse contender. Noel forcing everyone to kiss Mr. Spoon was stupid and made me a bit uncomfortable. I hope they tweak the hosts again before next season. I'll give Noel another chance; but pair him with someone more mature to balance him out. He was too junveile this series.
  13. So no game Thursday night? Oh well, I will check out the day games. I am very happy for Alex Smith getting another shot at being the starting QB again. I like KC and LV, but damned if I didn't find myself really rooting for the Raiders to win that game.
  14. I believe her too, but I don't think there is any way she managed to get the gun away from him like she described. I think she shot him after he fell asleep. Probably thought that was the only way she and the kids would ever be free.
  15. I think she did it, moreso than anything cuz, if not her, who? After going through his phone/computer/gadgets they did not find anyone else in his life but the wife and the ex. Let alone another heavyset women who would have had access to his gun, his car, etc. And anyone who says "I did not have my contacts with me" clearly has been and is a contact lens wearer! If she did do it, she is one cool fucking customer. She came off pretty credible talking to the cops on-scene, the detectives, and Dateline. I did notice she never showed any emotion about the husband, even as the father was breaking down in the police room. You would think with such a meticulous plan in place she might have tried to disguise her hair or body-type while wandering around after the crime. The daughter's gutteral outburst when she knew said it all. That was a deep knowing. Though I'm not surprised she found her way back into denial later. Andrea Canning in every Dateline episode: "So you find out X has been murdered! How did that feel?!!?!" Great Andrea, it felt fucking fantastic!
  16. That sucks that Laura is getting harrassed. That is totally against what the show stands for, don't these so-called fans realize that! If y'all like the gentle supportive nature of this show, you might also want to check out the UK versions of Masterchef and Masterchef the Professionals (currently airing). They has a similar soothing vibe that focuses on cookery with no crazy characters or forced drahhhma! Masterchef Australia is also great. Nothing like the US versions. Give me a shout if you'd like help finding the episodes!
  17. Another disappointing episode. I didn't even pay attention during the "horn of plenty" technical, cuz it seemed pretty silly and only chosen so there could be lots of penis jokes, starting with Paul asking Prue if she wanted to "sample his horn" and she replying "just the tip". Eeeewwww!!!! Never heard of cube cake, but well done to the boys.

    Tennis Thread

Didn't even know it was happening, but caught Nadal/Tsitsipas today. It is kind of sad, being so quiet and dark. Not even some sunshine to lighten the mood. PLUS having to listen to a couple hours of Brad Gilbertson's lame attempts to coin phrases for everything and everyone!
  19. Could it be that SBu FINALLY actually wants to move on from the same old same old he's been playing for years. If so, I might welcome him back into my fold. Especially if he's got more zingers for Carly and they break up JaSam.
  20. Lorenzo's got the goods to back it up, but he is auditioning for a job with Food Network hard.
  21. They totally should have had to eat that sheep's head! C'mon! If it wasn't for the alliance, these last couple legs could have been really dramatic with lots of team meltdowns and order changes. As it is, Phil has to implore them to make the race more exciting. "I've never seen a team wait on another team before! It cost you $15,000!" Even the clues are trying to get them to pick it up. "Yield ahead! There are only two legs left, don't waste it! You guys are ruining the ratings for this season!!!!"
  22. Cyrus and Julian were the best part of the show today. Great acting on both parts. Too bad they can't bother to come up with a good storyline for Julian. Maybe let him be the surprising hero against Cyrus or something. But God forbid anyone be a hero except Sonny or Jason. The Nik recast has officially won me over! They are writing him smart and sexy now, and I dig it! Brad was a surprise. Will it push Brit closer to Jason? Can he stand having a woman with a pulse in his life? All round, good show today!
  23. @Spunkygal, I agree with @Sarnia that the regular version of MC UK is of almost equal quality to the Professionals. You are really missing out if you don't watch. And yes, even the Celebrity UK version is better than any US version and I have enjoyed watching that too! Now on the critic's round: Some great looking dishes. I'm okay with them putting an extra through, but then it makes me feel bad for Harrison who I think more deserved such a chance. The way he couldn't stop smiling while watching him work, I think Marcus has a crush on Dave. I love it when Maarcus spots real talent and can't hide his glee!
