  1. After season 1, this show declined. It lost it's way. I thought there would be a season 5 because I think after the last season they showed a teaser indicating the show would get back on the original storyline track. I read the actors would be paid regardless.. so maybe they started filming and shelved it? I also saw a release scheduled for 2024... so maybe they got canceled, packed up, and just all went home.
  2. OK I blinked. or ran for a Coke. Kayla found something when she solved a puzzle and ran across the beach to beat out Owen. What did she win or get when she found that thing? What was it? Help please and thanks.
  3. On a side note, what was Camilla wearing? She looked ridiculous with that bow on her neck and those sloppy sweater sleeves. Plus, SHE can hardly sing. I never understood her rise to the top, although she is a good judge and provides good commentary.
  4. I have noticed that for years: the country singer always wins. On AI too.
  5. How did Brayden get so far? He can hardly sing. It must be teen girls who love him and vote for him because they like his looks. The others are so much better.
  6. This show has resulted in me walking around narrating my own life. "Leigh stepped out of the elevator and looked into the mirror and spoke to herself." I like the show but this narration shtik is not my cup of tea, it is distracting. And the show tries too hard. It tires to hard to be relevant.
  7. What twist? That the girl worked for the police?
  8. I like this season but it is getting sort of redundant and monotonous. They could have done this entire season in two hours.
  9. Is he supposed to be a version of Vinnie Musetto? I think Big Daddy is a manifestation of AIDS....
  10. But it was a cliche environment. I know it was. I lived right in the middle of all those stereotypes. He managed to get it right and show it all as it was. It was so real in terms of the cruising and leather and bath houses it was almost like a documentary filmed in the Village and not a movie. Until you hear a gay guy call another gay guy "Mary" or "Nellie" or have gone to a drag show at Les Mouches you have not internalized that world.
  11. This si totally not campy. it seems like a thriller, not a horror show.
  12. I am surprised that gay NYC in the early 1980s is the theme of the new season. The Ramrod or a similar gay bar, golden showers, cruising the piers, the gay bath houses, rough trade, handkerchief signals, gay men in the closet.... and inserting the beginning of AIDS into the mix certainly will be a scary season. A serial killer who targets gay men... this looks like a real horror story. ETA: and oh, Robin Byrd's old show on Manhattan Cable tv right before Al Goldstein's Midnight Blue... they got it right.
  13. Wow some of these scenes were so dark (no light) I could hardly see what was happening.
  14. Wait a minute! Episode 8 was the season finale? Huh?
  15. I am glad Taylor won. Her win made many people happy. However, I just don't get all this "Taylor love" in terms of "representing." What did she actually DO except manage to get to the end and not be sent home? Like it or not, she was carried over the threshold by Monte. How is Taylor a role model? All she did was exist for 90 days and avoid evictions. How is that an achievement so admirable? Her win has become a celebration that to me is absurd in any context. I think Taylor grew to be as obnoxious as Evel Dick and Rachel. And Taylor is worse now, outside of the house. She is acting like she actually did something of historical importance. I think this show has become ridiculous.
  16. Well here I go with what I know will be a greatly unpopular opinion. I am glad Taylor won this "game." Not because she is a black woman, but because she was a HG who managed to make it all the way to the end and avoid eviction which is all that is actually necessary to win. Taylor won the show. But years ago this show was recognized for what it is: NPR review I think to celebrate her win as some cultural achievement is absurd. She did NOTHING to further civil rights, except exist. I may have missed it, but I never heard her in the house discussing Black History and the struggle within a real context. The women who really made change were Elaine Brown, Ericka Huggins, and Claudette Colvin. Is Taylor able to discuss Pierce City, Sundown Towns, Dorothy Counts or the murder of Carole Jenkins? Does she know who Keith Beauchamp is? What has Taylor done that makes her so admirable within a "black woman" context? What has she accomplished within a real political context? How does she represent a real struggle? Why define her by her race when her life is not even lived based on her race. I see Taylor as just another winner on Big Brother. I am not going to sit here and be a Stepford Wife and be so happy she won because she is a black woman and helped further "the cause." How is she "the sword?" Every person in this show at some time is a victim. Jen was bullied by Evel Dick. Rachel was also hated. So was Nicole Anthony. Taylor sat in a house for almost 90 days discussing nothing of relevance except game strategy. She is not active in politics. How is she even a role model within any great intellectual context? All Taylor managed to do was to avoid evictions which is all it takes to win to get to the end. She overcame no great struggle within real prejudiced hardships in there. I listen on YT to The Real Late Night Crew and he exposes the nonsense of this season. The guy is raw, but his opinion is loaded with valid points. Big Brother is a race war now. A gender war? And please do not call me a racist... I support reparations. ETA: I am adding this comment from the chat in Shay's LIVE that was posted about BB after Taylor's speech and she won. He certainly makes his opinion clear: chat comment
  17. Will it happen after 11 PM? I want to see who wins Big Brother. Then, I am ready to go. So ready.
  18. Right now Monte is talking shit about Taylor to Turner and his thoughts on why she rubs people the wrong way. I think it is to make Turner think he (Monte) will not take Taylor to f2 and feel Turner out about who he will take and make sure Turner turns against Taylor too so Turner dislikes Tay and takes Monte.
  19. He sort of has to take Taylor if he wants any relationship with her when this show is over.
  20. Monte has told Taylor he is taking her to f2, so I do not understand this confusion.
  21. Yes Brittney and her husband look so much alike!
