I think he could have expressed it differently. If I didn’t “know” Chris, that would have been my first impression. -
Thats right! I think I’m confusing my shows here 😩

Wow! I’m a couple of kids behind here.

I thought they’d at least last longer than this. Definitely curious as to what happened. Lots of changes for her, quitting her job and getting a divorce.

Amber totally owned Kim. Speak it, child! She’s 100x more mature than her mother. -

So so cringe them talking to their kids like confidants. Why don’t they go to counseling? I get sister wife vibes from Lydia and Barry with the whole picnic and scene. They looked like they were courting. Maybe I’ve been watching to many Amish and Mormon cult docu’s, but it’s just feels very inappropriate. Sure, Ethan should have ran the car by Momma, I mean Olivia, but how much could that hoop-tie even cost? It looks like salvage. He needs to be able to make some decisions on his own. -

Pastor Cal has been married before too. Maybe they should have @Allison1:and @Yeah No be experts since you’ve been successfully married for a long time unlike this knuckle heads. -
I thought so just because her face was so tight which generally with that much weight loss and her age, you’d think, she’d have loose skin. She certainly seemed very impressed with herself!
-
I’m sure 20/20 and 48 hours will get their crack at the story before too long. i noticed she had had her face done. Maybe that why she wanted the insurance money. Her selective amnesia and the hubris of thinking she’ll just take the stand and think people will believe it like a storyline from her crime stories was laughable. Just a general comment, but since I’ve been watching these shows I’m surprised at how little some people will kill for. One show had a woman hire someone to kill her husband for a $30,000 life insurance policy and the guy was willing to accept $500 to do it. You’d think you’d want more of a payoff for all that trouble and the probability you’re both going to jail. SMH!

Kim just needs to have her affair and get it over with. She’s bugging the hell out of me. Maybe she and Moriah need to go meet some coeds in Athens
-
Kim seems jealous of her older kids’ freedom and figured if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em and relive her youth, where she was the hot party girl. She’ll be dancing on a bar counter in her dancing shoes and daisy dukes in a Cairo heartbeat before too long. Now she’s too good for her fundie wife life.

Nope!

Maybe they ought to just go ahead and do a Bachelor series at Stagecoach. Why should Blake have all the fun?! -

Well. Of course he is! 😩 -
Right? Lol I read it here https://www.primetimer.com/features/is-hulu-poised-to-dominate-the-emmys-limited-series-categories There’s no way they’ll win up against all of that competition, thankfully. I guess anything with Clare Danes gets nominated.
-
Thanks for the reassurance I’m not alone here and after seeing it had been nominated for an Emmy I was thinking I lacked enough sophistication to “get” this, but perhaps there isn’t much to get! A brief off topic, I also watched another female lead series on Apple, The Shining Girls, and thought it was better but it too really felt drawn out and lacking after the first few episodes, I don’t have any plans on watching season two of either of these if there is one. I need to go check out the TSG thread and read up on how others liked that one.

I’m barely hanging on here and am underwhelmed with this series. The love affair is not particularly smoldering or have any real build up. It’s like Bam, let’s spend long hours alone, openly moon for each other in front of the wife and make love out in the open. Very unlikely, especially with the town’s vicar and it would have been more clandestine. I had hoped the serpent would have been less symbolic and there was more evidence that it was real and her character had more direction. I keep thinking she killed her husband to get away, and thought there might be a story there and there’d be more direct accusations of her being a witch as more occurrences linked to the serpent were encountered. This should have been so much better. One episode to go but I’m fighting it.

Another Andrea fan here. I think she’s good at getting people to let their guards down because she looks like a Sunday school teacher and but she asks very pointed questions and then keeps going. I think it’s also easy for families of the victims to open up and feel comfortable talking because she comes across very empathic and kind. You can see she feels pain for them in her eyes.
