  1. The reunion outfits: Lesbian chic? Brauny straight up looks like a dominatrix. What's that Shanny is wearing? Looks like a dress made from shearling. She couldn't find her go-go boots I guess, so she had to make do with the platforms. Good lord is that a headband? Love Gina, but I never liked weird necklines such as what she's wearing, Kelly in black looks classy, but not a fan of the look of strapless on one side and full sleeve to the neck on the other. Emily looks beautiful in deep red but Elizabeth? Not so much. Her dress is too-too embellished and the darker hair doesn't really suit her. With the exception of Emily's, I've never seen so many bizarre looking earrings in one place. Surprised to hear Andy say they're at the Wilshire-Ebell Theater - I thought that place was shuttered years ago. It looked decrepit the last time I saw it. Emily: Didn't you make fun of her condo, said OMG she lives in a 1,600 sq. ft. condo? Brauny: Oh I did do that. Emily: Well that's what she's pissed about. Brauny: Well, Shannon's making fun of her for that too. Great comeback Brauny. For a 6 year old. I never heard the expression "sloppy chihuahua" before, but get the giggles every time they play the clip of Gina saying it to Brauny. Brauny: So wait - you think I'm a fake alcoholic? Kelly: Yes. I do. Brauny: Fuck you Kelly, fuck you. You do not go there Kelly: Is that how you talk? Hoo-boy Kelly certainly did cut through Brauny's cool and jerk her chain. Not that I agree with Kelly's assessment, but it did give me a laugh to see Brauny freak the hell out over it.
  2. I really like the scenes where Gina and Emily talk. Gina is telling us the same things Tamra used to say about Shannon, so I tend to believe that's how Shannon is. She gloms onto a girlfriend and then just constantly hits her up for emotional support without giving any in return. Speaking of Shanny, her face fillers are settling badly. The scene where she's getting dinner on the table is where I noticed her oddly lumpy cheeks - not good. When she was opening the oven door, I was struck by how small the kitchen looks in her rental property - something I'm sure wouldn't be a dealbreaker for Shanny since the way she conducts herself there (surprise! there's a momentary hot blast when you open an oven that's in use) looks like she doesn't cook all that often. Loved the editors' multiple pop-up windows of Shannon's what-ifs as to her myriad concerns for Sophie living on her own. I'm sure Sophie knew her job was to make her mother look good after the toast-to-Sophie scene. Then Stella walks by drinking some clear red stuff and Shanny admonishes her for drinking "pure sugar stuff that'll make you sick" but in the next breath says to John "I'm just having vodka". You know, that healthy stuff that won't make you sick. I thought the beach party turned out great - a festive afternoon was a good finale for this season of RHOC. I think Elizabeth's boyfriend Jimmy would look a lot better if he grew his hair out some. That almost-shaved look does him no favors. Wait a minute -- Brauny is going back to college? I thought she said she never went to college, that she got married at 18? Gina's boyfriend is pretty hunky and so tall! Brauny has already run through one girlfriend and is on girlfriend number two and I guess Sean is okay at with being her cuckold.
  3. Let's hope for Sophie's sake that Shannon doesn't get Vicki ideas and decide to "surprise" Sophie at her college dorm to participate in student activities with her.
  4. I'm enjoying Kelly with her "BAM! In yo face!!" after seeing Shannon's $1.4 mil check lying on the credenza. Also, seeing how Jolie is turning out (high grades, is able to express herself without "like" and "um" every other word) speaks well of Kelly's mothering regardless of her faulty personality. Kelly has a right to be proud of herself there.
  5. I read a month or two ago on some site that Jolie's father doesn't see her for months at a time. It was a story about Kelly telling Michael he should call and see his daughter more often, and at that point he "hadn't seen Jolie in five months".
  6. Shannon did not get screwed -- the genders are treated equally by the court. The check represents Shannon's share of community property that she hasn't already received. Shannon is able bodied and currently gainfully employed at a fairly high paying job. She is capable of supporting herself and contributing her half to supporting their kids. That's the criteria these days. He's only on the hook for half of the support of their daughters as well. Probably through college, but after that, Shannon won't be getting any more money from their father.
  7. It doesn't get much better in the OC than a 180-degree bay view from your front patio on Newport Bay.
  8. Those docks are privately owned by the houses. They add substantial value to any real estate in Newport Bay that they are attached to. That house is likely worth no less than $3 million depending on its square footage and interior features, and quite possibly as much as $10 million if that dock belongs to his house. The supply of waterfront properties on Newport Bay is finite and the prices reflect that.
  9. Newport Bay is a fairly old neighborhood. There is still a sprinkling of those original size homes that get overshadowed by the newer McMansions that occupy two lots. The part of John's house we saw first is considered the rear. It's probably the view from the alley they come through in order to access their parking spaces. The side of the house that faces Newport Bay is considered the front of the house and looks much more modern. Someone had a very nice remodel done to that old house.
  10. Not only that, but she has yet to say a goddamn thing that would make her interesting to watch.
  11. No, in fact when she's not painting herself the victim, she is self-righteously preaching about how terrible it is for black people. She's such an awful person, yet she's on her high horse looking down her nose at everyone because she's gotten sober (or is she a "dry drunk"?).
  12. Elizabeth doesn't like hanging with women because she isn't interested in being told how annoying she is. Girlfriends will tell you. Men won't - they'll just tune you out. Because they know "guy's girls" will hang around while they're eyeing her boobs and hoping for a chance to have sex with her.
  13. Another Elizabeth lie. Google says this guy's fortune amounts to maybe $200 million - a far cry from a billion.
  14. Maybe Shannon goes to the grocery store every day, but the store doesn't get their meat every day. Did Shanny think that the chickens were walking around yesterday, and the fish were swimming? And they were butchered this morning so Shanny could buy them fresh every day?
  15. High points of this show for me were both brought by Kelly. I chuckled at Kelly and Shanny's interaction at the vow renewal party. Shannon: "I'm still reeling". Kelly: "What do you mean? Like you're woke? LIke you're reeling in a fish?" Then Kelly and her dad jokes. She points to Shanny's stomach and when she looks down, Kelly flipped her nose. I mean, the gag is old as the hills, but pulling it on Shanny just tickled me for some reason. Never one to give up when she's on a roll, Kelly was having fun pulling Shanny chain, especially about the water product. Took all the wind out of Shanny's sails when Kelly said she had no problem if Shannon wanted to sell a water product. Practically the next scene I got a kick out of the about 15 seconds of Shanny and Kelly doing a little dirty dance on the dance floor together. But shoving Elizabeth into the pool was gold. Damn right. Elizabeth was beyond insufferable with her constant talk talk talk about her ex and money. If she was forbidden these two subjects, she wouldn't be able to open her mouth. I think Elizabeth is just psycho. She says her childhood was chaotic and yet she's on the phone to her mother every day. First she's crying and saying how she's sad her marriage is ending, and then 2 minutes later she's laughing almost hysterically over getting botox. And I think she and Jimmy are not involved physically because it's not what she wants, despite her claim to the contrary. She just keeps him around so there's someone to listen to her stream of consciousness blather about her ex and money. So far I don't find her interesting in the least. I liked Gina's summaries of Elizabeth: She can't talk about her divorce but she's always talking about her divorce. She doesn't have sex with her boyfriend, but she's had sex with her boyfriend. She cares about money but she doesn't care about money. I'm liking New York Gina. I thought she was fun during the tennis match. I think of all the HWs this season, she's the most down to earth. I'm still wondering what John's deal is. I don't understand why he's so invested in being Shannon's personal nanny. He's on it like it's his job. And Shanny seems to be confusing John and David in her alcohol soaked brain. When she was talking to one of her girls, Shannon said something like "your dad and I like tequila" when it was John she was referring to. Again, when she was leaving the party and saying goodbye to Brauny, she slipped and almost called John her husband. She was looking mighty rough this episode what with all the boozing it up and anxiety attacks over food. Girl needs a quiet place and a tranquilizer to just rest and think calm thoughts.
  16. It's interesting timing for Vicki to want to call Puerto Vallarta home, since Mexico has done literally nothing to fight Covid until this month when they started shutting down some businesses in Mexico City. The tourist destinations are their lifeblood, but they don't encourage anyone to wear masks, and consequently very few people do. I hear from my ex who's living in PV that kids there aren't going to school so there's that, but he said people have died on the street (not in huge numbers or anything) and you have to have money or at least know someone to get admitted to a hospital there. Does anyone know if that huge white elephant in Coto de Caza has gotten any offers yet?
  17. Last episode, that kid struck me as a big attention seeker, this episode he's creepy as hell.
  18. Me too -- I thought Brauny looked very pretty in her vow renewal dress. Not many women could wear it as well as she did. No doubt she paid a small fortune for it at the very hoity-toity The White Dress store in Corona del Mar.
  19. If you live in an Orange County beach community, bicycles are part of the culture. It's quite common for people to have a beach cruiser with a handlebar basket that they ride to the park or the beach or the grocery store or exercising the dog. Not just for the healthy or "green" aspects, but parking in beach towns is at a premium. Riding a bike makes it easy to go places around town without the parking problem, plus drinking and bike riding makes DUI a lot less likely (it is illegal to drink and ride your bike too, but it's unusual for it to be enforced). My thoughts exactly on this episode. She'll drive this one away too, sure as shit.
  20. More like two sizes too small -- I got Vicki Gunvalson vibes there for a second even though I enjoy Emily TONS more than I did Vicki.
  21. Well, if I had to vote whether Gina was smart or stupid, I'd choose smart. What does she gain by holding on to bitterness and bad feelings over their marriage breaking up -- the upper hand? the martyr prize? We already saw how deliriously happy her daughter was to have her dad at her birthday party. Gina has a new relationship, so does Matt. From where I sit, Matt isn't getting away with a damn thing since Gina is planning on appearing at Matt's sentencing and giving her victim statement which will be on his record permanently. It's far better for the kids' well being for their parents to stay on good terms. If they both have to swallow a little pride (hers for graciously hosting his flame of the week [love that!] and his for standing up in open court and owning up to his criminal behavior), so be it -- not too big a price to pay for your children's happiness now and in the future.
