  1. There's only so far one can go slinging mud in family court because judges know the difference between smoke screen and a true issue. Personal pecadillos aren't any kind of ammunition when modification of child support is the only issue. Sure Denise is gun-shy of Charlie. His scorched earth threats are meant to work her over because he knows she is cowed by it, but that's why one hires a lawyer. Besides, Aaron has shown he's more than willing to stand by Denise and protect her. The facts are on her side (he hasn't paid support in years and proof of threats he's made if she's been smart enough to keep evidence) and it wouldn't take her attorney that much time to obtain an order for payment of a percentage of delinquent child support before the judge considers a downward modification. From what I've heard, he owes somewhere around half a million dollars. Charlie can cry poor all he wants, a fraudulent transfer of assets isn't that hard to prove and the cost of acquiring the requisite records wouldn't bankrupt anyone. Once she got her order for payment of back child support, if he doesn't pay voluntarily, a collection attorney doesn't even get paid until they collect money. She would have no trouble finding a good attorney who'd be delighted to seize or encumber his assets. Restraining orders for harassment are relatively cheap and quick to accomplish - many people obtain them without an attorney. For people in Denise's income category there's not much difference in spending $20,000 for legal fees or $25,000. Sure he'll make it unpleasant and it could take many months, but she has a duty to her daughters to collect what he owes them.
  2. Until she died, I had a wealthy mother-in-law whom every year would re-gift a sweater to me for Christmas. Always with no tags in a high-end department store gift box. One year it was a granny square vest. That's what came to my mind when I saw those granny square fashions. (I got the last laugh, though - I always wore the most recent re-gifted sweater whenever we visited her to send the message that I had no goat to get.)
  3. It don't think it was that she didn't realize how much of a bitch she was being, it was that she felt justified in doing so.
  4. I agree Sutton's tone didn't sound like someone who was insecure, but I don't get homophobic from her at all. What I took from that statement is that Sutton knows she doesn't have indiscriminate casual sex and doesn't put herself out there as someone with loose morals.
  5. Denise won't be ripping anyone to shreds. If she was capable of that she would have done it long ago and not needed to make up lies to dodge events.
  6. Attorneys don't charge for overtime/weekends. Their fee is their fee regardless of time of day/day of week. The question is whether or not they will answer their phone for you - LOL.
  7. I think Denise gives Aaron a lot more say over her career decisions than she should. When she called him to let him know that she was stopping by Rinna's house, the way he said "okay" gave me the feeling that he disapproved and would have tried to convince her not to do it. In fact the times she has walked out was because of Aaron. It's hard to say if that scene was filmed before or after Dorit's party, but it was edited to look as if it took place after. At that point she was refusing to show up for anything. I think production met with Denise when Aaron wasn't there andshe was talked into having the couch meeting.
  8. I read somewhere that shows like The Real aren't that much of a time commitment, and it's possible Garcelle could do both. In one of the last episodes, Garcelle tells Denise if Denise doesn't come back, Garcelle wouldn't be back either. But now that we've seen how Denise twice (that we know of) rudely blew off a get-together with Garcelle and Garcelle feels like Denise has kicked her in the teeth, I won't be counting Garcelle out yet.
  9. I could tell by that awkward exchange in the limo between Garcelle and Chocolate Michael that they weren't a match. Twice his response was non-committal when she wanted to "discuss diamonds" (perhaps an engagement? it was never said). At that moment, seeing the two of them sitting in the limo, I got the strong impression that he really was not that into her. We don't see anything more specific about it, and it surprised me to see when he sort of indicated to Sutton's boyfriend later at the party that things were going to the next level in their relationship. It was smart of Garcelle to get to the point and not waste time on a man who wasn't as interested in taking the next step as she was. I wasn't surprised to see in the epilogues that they broke up.
  10. Dorit looked genuinely shocked when Brandi admitted she had sent Denise a text giving her a heads-up that she would be at Dorit's party that night. I don't think Brandi was supposed to do that. I think that's why the party was at Dorit's -- so then Denise wouldn't be suspicious that Brandi would be on the guest list. Garcelle was tasked with picking her up and getting her there. But what nobody knew until Brandi showed up was that she let the cat out of the bag, so production got pretty much nothing from the big shindig for Dorit and PK that they paid for. (No diamond for Brandi now.)
  11. This is exactly the kind of thing I meant last episode that Denise, for all her experience in Hollywood business, should be more people savvy than she is. I don't think Rinna would do anything for a buck, but I believe she does lots for the lots of money they pay her. I'll bet after LVP left the show Rinna became the highest paid on that franchise because of all the content she's delivered to the producers -- that is, highest paid until Denise came along. Frankly, I think both the producers and Denise are disappointed with how things have gone for the big money they were throwing at her. I don't see how they could be happy with Denise's lackluster brief appearances and downright refusal at times to show up for the job. And Denise is probably day drinking over how badly the show blew up in her face even though she had such popularity with the fans.
  12. Pardon me if this has been mentioned - I only just finished watching and I have to say I laughed!! At Kim and Kyle discussing that Kim had her implants removed. Mauricio: Why are you feeling her boobs? Kyle: Because she took out the implants and fixed her ... Kim: You can touch them too. Mauricio: (shakes head) Kim: Just touch them here. Just touch the side. Mauricio: (horrified) No!
  13. Dorinda wasn't canned until after the reunion episode(s).
  14. My guess is Sonja. She hasn't added anything to the show in quite a while besides party-til-you-drop and pawing men everywhere she goes. The entrepreneur story is awfully thin these days despite this season's Century 21 opening which I found boring as hell because it's too hard for me to believe Sonja was responsible for very much of it. I think Bravo wants to get rid of the ones who aren't pulling their weight (or in Dorinda and Vicki G's cases, too hard to work with.)
  15. I like your description of Dorinda's physical display during a bullying episode. Because Ramona has shared some of her childhood abuse, it seems logical that she recognizes and can deal with someone's psychopathic episode. I couldn't agree more with that last paragraph.
  16. See, I never did understand what was so funny about that "clip" scene. To me Dorinda came off like an asshole there. I mean, it looked playful and all, but I saw it as arrogant, not funny or cute. Same with her "not well bitch". Her intention was to be salty in response to someone being polite to her, and it was off putting to me. Maybe I'm just dull witted, cuz I never found Don Rickles funny either.
  17. Not that Ramona doesn't have her grievous faults and says insensitive things at times, but I don't think we've ever once seen Ramona get hammered and fly off the handle screaming insults in someone's face and calling them filthy names.
  18. In keeping with her desire to live in the past, the photo she posted with her announcement looks as if it was taken 15 years ago. I never really took to Dorinda. In her first couple of seasons she said some mildly amusing things, but I never understood all the fandom or enjoyed her nasty cracks and barely concealed contempt for everyone. Maybe it's a NYC thing -- they seem to relish rudeness -- but once she became one of the most popular HWs and stopped masking her constant and overwhelming anger, which was always just under the surface the whole time she was on the show, I couldn't stomach her at all. I think TPTB at Bravo saw the writing on the wall when viewership and online messaging fell off dramatically after last season's relentless mean mouthing of Tinsley for no reason whatsoever. I think Bravo decided to cut its losses and allowed her to make the announcement so it would look like it was her decision. Now that she's not going to appear on the show anymore, she can keep drinking and telling herself that since she doesn't have a mugshot, she doesn't have a serious problem. But I believe there's either a mugshot or an emergency hospitalization in her future. (Let me add here that Dorinda deserved to be knocked on her ass for calling Tinsley a prostitute to her face based solely on the amount of her boyfriend's bank account balance, and there we'd have seen her emergency hospitalization. It could happen after a drunken mouthing off to the wrong person.)
  19. I'm calling the situation as I see it, but let me make it clear - I find Brandi loathesome and am the last person who would be siding with her.
  20. Actually, Denise destroying her own credibility has nothing to do with anyone else's. Brandi can lie til the cows come home -- has nothing to do with why people don't trust Denise's word anymore. If the sex-with-Brandi thing was the only place where Denise's story is shaky, I'd lean towards agreeing with you. But she thinks nothing of lying to dodge any ol' inconvenient thing (such as telling the others her daughter was upset about the threesome talk when we saw the kid actually laugh about it, and saying she's sick when she isn't) so I think Denise has pretty much brought that problem on herself.
  21. I honestly think for all her decades in Hollywood, Denise should be more people savvy than she is. She wants to appear to be all Denise Fucking Richards confident, but it's just a bluff. She comes off as someone who's super sensitive, easily rattled and not particularly nimble in the smarts department.
  22. This is the whole problem with lying in the first place. Now Denise cries the blues that "no matter what I say, I'm not believed". Yeah, that's pretty much how it works. There were ways she could have protected her privacy and not lied about anything. But play fast and loose with your own credibility and it's a natural consequence that people just don't trust what you have to say anymore. And I think that's fair.
  23. I don't know how you're supposed to pronounce Capri, so I did a Google search. https://www.youtube.com//watch?v=tofZFzTG0IY The voice doing the pronouncing sounds like a native Italian speaker and I'll be damned. He pronounced it KA-pre.
  24. It's not therapy she's purchasing. It's that she just eats up having a years-younger guy sit there for an hour focusing all of his attention on her and everything that comes out of her mouth. And I'm certain she's quite willing to pay big bucks for the privilege (a win-win for both of them). On the same vein as a full body massage, only she gets to humble-brag on how she's in therapy and working on her issues so as to become her best, even more wonderful self which, if you caught her words at the end of her session, she believes she already is.
