  1. Here's a site that graphs IMDB review ratings by episode: http://graphtv.kevinformatics.com/tt2364582. Whether you think IMDB ratings are relevant, I think it's interesting to see the trend and the huge positive outlier of "Turn, Turn, Turn".
  2. Don't kill me but I really liked Obrecht's "Always on My Mind". Probably the lack of autotune crap in my earholes affected me.
  3. I never considered mombatross! I thought Spydad. In the fall, I want a couple months to have passed with Kate, Martha, and Alexis being a family unit bonded by grief. The book probably sold bazillions due to the death bump.
  4. After a re-watch, a couple things really stood out to me. I loved Emma looking for Snow in the tree after she realized she was seeing The First Meeting. It went from, "Hey I know this, so mom should be.. ah ha", with this childlike happiness that was so sweet. Rumple's delivery of "You changed something. Okay what did you change?" was hilarious along with his jabs at the amateur time travelers. Conking Marion on the head was guffaw worthy too. I just want Hook, Emma and Henry on a houseboat next season! If you want to be a realist and straight, Regina the Queen was basically Pol Pot/Mussolini in terms of dictatorship and murder. But this is a fairy tale so murder and mental illness ain't in play. But justice/karma is voila Marion. Also, I've seen Frozen and I know Elsa was treated as the villain by others in the story but she was just a girl who had powers she couldn't control. I'm curious if OUAT will go villainess route or another way....
  5. Ooh someone on io9 had an awesome idea - Tatiana Maslany as a sand snake!
  6. So, I have been a whiny grump about the show recently and made proclamations of dropping it but this finale was exactly the show I had been looking for! Emma learning, doing stuff, and growing - yay! Also Charming family dynamics - yay! Frozen? Smart move. Jump on a title that is recent and a blockbuster that can hook a new audience - business 101. So Henry can say, "Here's my uncle Neal, not to be confused with my father Neal." Ha! Also, the body double for Ginnifer cracked me up. Do you think they had someone else's hands for the ring scene or was it the old scene?
  7. That wasn't the trailer. The key scene was at Rosalee's shop. And the trunk inventory was at Nick's house. Overall, I really liked the episode! Sure Renard, Adalind, Monroe, and Rosalee were fast forward material. I like how Teresa is fitting into the gang. She's basically like a younger cousin for Nick and Juliette, a wobbly deer for Monroe and Rosalee, and a concern for Hank. It looks like she's the one who will clue into Juliette weirdness next week (and they better show Renard flip the eff out over having two Grimms in his city). It would be awesome karma if whiny Josh gets his Grimm powers. Do we know how many keys The Royals have?
  8. I think the loss of Pierce and Troy in the same season kinda crippled the show. If they had just lost Pierce this season and kept Troy, I think the show would have kept some of its magic this past season.
  9. God, I love Ned's dimples... Please tell me he's sticking around!
  10. Well, it looks like Community has been cancelled. Let the mourning and rending of clothes commence. I am pretty sad but I'm glad we got them for five seasons.
  11. Phew! Glad I'm not the only one who was paranoid about his exclusion. Still worried about the finale though...
  12. Eddie did a fun little throwaway joke when Artie was explaining Harvey Korman's cufflinks - he pulled on his left ear. Which was something Carol did in her show as a sign to her grandmother. I don't think any young uns would have caught Eddie's ear tug...
  13. Pretty sure Sara is toast next week. She gets a taste of being a hero so what's more heroic than sacrificing herself to save the city? Then (pardon me while I choke down bile) Laurel will pick up The Canary mantel.
  14. 1) My theory is the SHIELD agents got to her and whisked her away before her parents found her. If SHIELD was called to China due to a bunch of 084s going berserk, stealing their child might have been the only way to survive. 2) I bet either dead or forced to retreat almost like a hostage stand-off. Get off the planet or baby Skye will be killed. 3) I think Raina is the blood relation coming a calling. She said that Skye and her have something in common on the inside. How much do you want to bet her question for the Clairvoyant was, "Am I all alone?" I am leaning towards Inhumans due to the Kree connection for Skye's lineage.
  15. Maybe Port Charles has better unemployment insurance than the actual US? Even fictional cities cannot avoid the recession...
  16. You know what would be even more horrible/heart-breaking? If Garrett lied to Ward about his family pressing charges. That part rang false to me. Usually sociopaths don't seek justice through the legal system because that system could expose their own crimes.
  17. Wow, I could feel my heart sinking as the container was jettisoned. The finale is gonna be ROUGH! Also, Skye's parents being the monsters that killed the village? Is that metaphorical or literal monsters?
  18. There's a theory on the interwebs that Jaquen Hagar is Syrio's other face. Also, I flipped my lid over Oberyn mentioning the Sand Snakes but I was watching with an Unsullied so I just clapped my hands like a seal.
  19. I loved this one so much, I've watched it twice! Cheesy goodness. I'm not a native Spanish speaker but I think the weakest pronunciation was Joanne. Saul's Spanish was surprisingly good Fabulous Steve needs to come out and play before the show ends. What a missed opportunity to snag Shawn to be one of the twins...
  20. Really hope Cal's little guys didn't go 2/2 and Kira will be getting a sibling...
  21. Wow, it's pretty cold that Dillon is sending his daughter undercover. It took me a while to realize Corporate Alec was changing his bank passwords in the opening scene. It sounds like he's done with Kiera too - geez! Pissed off snarky Carlos is smoking hot. I bet the whole idea behind Liber8's campaigns is that if only The People knew what corporations were doing, things would be so different. What a comeuppance if they work so hard to expose the corporations and The People did nothing/didn't care... To parallel a bit, we look back on WWII and think if only the entire world knew about The Final Solution. If we were able to broadcast that plan back then, I think the reaction would not live up to our expectations.
  22. I laughed long and hard at that "Oh crap." Perfect intonation along the lines of "We're gonna need a bigger boat" or "They have a cave troll." Teresa is a good cast addition. She's a bit more than a Faith character she's kinda like adding a Faith/Buffy hybrid. I too think Teresa will be the way Wu gets brought into the loop. The Wesen of the week was pretty boring. It didn't really make sense that worms would care about luxury items or instill fear. I would have worm Wesen running an organic farm! I'm over-thinking Animal Kingdom personalities, right? I have to say I am very happy the episode addressed two issues very quickly: Teresa's not related to Nick and the difference between good vs. bad Wesen. I really hope Teresa's chess piece will have a key. Imagine the leverage Nick would have if he could get his hands on 3 keys (his, Teresa's, and preview guys)...
  23. How about Inspector Dillon? He knows guns and is involved in Piron (but not time travel that we know of).
  24. There was an earlier episode that explained May's stoicness and she smiled in the same episode! The upshot is she went on a rescue op that went sideways and bloody in a horrifying way. The only way she could cope with what she had done is to say goodbye to who she used to be. So, her demeanor is basically PTSD/coping mechanism.
  25. I really liked this episode a lot! Ever since the CA:TWS episode, the show has been solidly must-watch live for me. Can I just say that Maria's phone conversation with Pepper should have been the method of showing the big Marvel universe out there from the Pilot onward? Also note how Ward got misogynistic assy with Maria during their stand off. Don't you love it when a guys only ammo is "You ugly"? I have hated Skye for so long, the fact that I'm cheering her on, laughing and nodding through her scenes is freaking me out. Maybe it's because we aren't being told how amazing, smart, and special she is? She's actually doing stuff that demonstrates those qualities. The TAHITI reveal is very confusing to me so can someone explain it to me like I'm 5? I can't figure out when the video was made. Before The Avengers? After Coulson got revived but he got wiped after the video? And doesn't the video imply that there are other test subjects? But they didn't last long because of awareness effecting them. BUT who got mind wiped that lead to Coulson realizing it helped the survival rate?
