  1. I thought shenanigans when the Voton fleet exploded so that could be some type of terrorist group alien or human...
  2. I just loved the giants and the mammoth. I knew they would be killed but we had a couple kick ass scenes at least! Also, it was really nice to see one of Ned's sons fight and lead. We have been missing that Stark (Snow) fight all season. It's ridiculous Stannis didn't show up this episode but with all the Blackwater parallels, that would have made him the Tywin.
  3. Hang on, how did Rachel know Leekie was dead if the body was still in Donnie's trunk? Did she assume DYAD goons did their job?
  4. Over a decade ago I had such a bad UTI, I was hospitalized. Not to be too graphic but the pee cup looked like it had cranberry juice. So, I'm in the hospital bed hooked up to IVs and the doctor asked me how did I know if the urine had blood or I had my period. Male medical professionals can be confused about the whole other hole too!
  5. I was watching the attempted Tony Felix kiss through my fingers and hollering, "EWW!" I guess I have to be the dissenting opinion but I thought Tony was poorly portrayed from the voice to the makeup. I did not clue into him being trans until Art said so. Also, there are not many examples of female to male transgender characters on TV (and I don't know any IRL) so my opinion could just be lack of awareness. I think I have reached new levels of Cosima love seeing her OWN D&D. I found it touching that Scott took the clone news in such a warm open way. Heck, he probably has a better idea of how sick Cosima is so finding out the sick subject is your lab manager/friend must be sobering. I'm wary of Dr. Duncan because he called Kira the prize. When will Allison be brought into the loop about Cosima's illness? Those two are the ones left of the original clone club!
  6. Well, I guess Kiera is the female character from a Canadian Sci-fi show NOT allowed to say, "This is my body, my biology"* I thought the video just showed new future guy pointing a gun at Kiera, not firing and Curtis firing. This is definitely a re-watch episode with a lot of story and exposition. Since I'm a huge Kellogg fan, I welcome any storyline for him and now that it seems he's bigger than Alec in the future, I am a happy gal! I do hope Jason survives Halo's test phase. Anyone else bummed new future guy isn't her son? But kudos for the writers avoiding that sci-fi trope. EDIT: Re-watched. In the footage we see Brad's gun fire, not Curtis'. *Cosima Niehaus from "Orphan Black"
  7. It drives me nuts when the civilian just picks the loudest/most competitive person for the final round. It would work so much better if the final round pick happened offscreen so the civilian could have time and less pressure to consider who is a good clue giver [hint not the guy who makes noises in charades] and who wins a lot of the games.
  8. The finale is June 21 so no. I hope whatever shit hits the fan tomorrow will get vaguely better by then! That is my tortoiseshell Stella. :-)
  9. Rewatching this episode, I either caught an error or am confused. The videotape Sarah watched with Rachel and the doctors Duncan was dated 1991. But I was under the impression that the lab fire took place in the 80's. Am I missing something? I guess the camera man could be Leekie but who is the woman? Or that video isn't of Rachel, just another clone.
  10. Maybe the problem is that we didn't have an entry-point character who was the audience proxy? That is usually an easy avenue to explain the world being built. There's no John Crichton or Skye we can latch onto in Defiance. That could be why I really liked the astronaut episode because they finally explained a lot about the world.
  11. I changed my cable package so I can get BBC America because apparently this Saturday's episode needs to be watched live. Guys, I'm a-scared!
  12. Nope. He was 5 when Nina went into her coma. Silas remembers him as a little boy. Nina's son would be only 20.
  13. I know it's a typo but can Nina's nickname be wounded angle? And then psycho angle with finally decapitated angle. Ha!
  14. I was confused too! I thought Silas was the legal guardian. I also had no idea Sam moved in with Silas but I do admit I FF a lot of their scenes. Today's episode was weirdly disjointed and I think it took me 15 minutes to get through.
  15. Hey, I'm Hungarian-American and the piece on Jobbik, the neo/Nazi/fascist party of death rock was embarrassingly good. Reading this topic I think it's hilarious that us international folks react like, "Oh geez, did he have to show that?" Like a dad pulling out an old photo album.
  16. Ugh, I know! Each scene change, I perked up with, "Duel?" The last 10 friggen minutes of the episode. I liked the beetle story because I really felt like Jaime and Tyrion are siblings with that shared memory. So are we thinking finale will be patricide and unCat? Or split up the shocks?
  17. Upon rewatch, a parallel hit me. Rachel let Leekie live because he raised her and "nuture prevails." And Paul pointed out to Siobhan how he sees where Sarah gets her tendency to burn things to the ground. BTW I floved Sarah and Siobhan's interactions this episode! Scheming and sass. The funny thing is Cal said he has contacts who talk about Dyad and a couple are way out tin foil hat wearing nuts. But those people are probably right! Um, hello illegal human cloning program sounds nuts until you have a kid with a clone - ha! Here's my hope for next episode. Rachel is not working against Sarah anymore. Hopefully there could be some gratitude for finding her father. I'm worried that Rachel will mess with Cosima's treatment since Leekie was conducting it behind her back. I think new boss lady will try to hold Kira hostage to keep Sarah in check and Cosima's future up in the air. Also, the Prolethians have Helena's fertilized eggs and isn't there a way to harvest stem cells from those? Which might sway the clone club more their way...
  18. Maverick that is a great theory on amnesia guy! And it could explain why he knew Kiera's name. Future Alec in future B sends someone back with an update. Or did she check his hands yet? Freelancer? I guess I'm the weirdo who kinda hope he is Sam (Kiera's son). I'm loving all the random pairings and unclear agendas. My favorite was Carlos and Alec in this episode. It makes sense for Carlos since he's basically at a tipping point thanks to Betty's murder. Obviously Kiera has no interest or time to help him so he reaches out to the only other person in the Future club. Wonder if he'll buddy up with Kellogg next time? Kiera is really a shit friend, huh? Next episode we better see more interaction with Liber8 or the Freelancers so Kiera will get a better trajectory.
  19. There is a bit of awesome casting news here. Could be considered a spoiler.
  20. Blech, sounds like an episode I can skip. Thanks for the synopses! Y'know, I would love to have afternoon programming where women weren't regularly called bitches, whores, or were threatened with violence. We get enough of that IRL.
  21. Was today's episode slightly watchable? The latest Boston bombing arrest news took over the broadcast. I hate Sonny, love Julexis, and am neutral about LiRic.
  22. Bradley Whitford has young children right? How did he choke so badly on the Dr. Seuss word game? That was almost as bad as that team that never had watched Star Wars (the Zachary Levi episode). The fact that the yellow dress lady's team was able to catch up from so far behind to salmon dress team was very impressive! I liked the block game better with words not people's body parts. A good episode with no one pulling a Short or Weatherly.
  23. I'm all caught up thanks to Amazon. I dub this show Defiance: God Put Some Clothes on That Poor Girl. I have a couple questions. Mayor Nicki was an Indogene like the astronaut. But why did she bleed red blood and he didn't? Also, the Votan ship at the bottom of the mine is 3000 years old, right? How did the Earth Republic find out about it? I don't know if I missed something, these are legit plot holes, or just set up for future seasons.
  24. He/she meant the apartment shown in Portland.
  25. I need a gif of Sonny's "Duh.." face from today! It completely and totally encapsulates my feeling about TFGH. Why should we care about Fluke? [insert duh face]. When will Morgan find out about his impending brother/son? [duh face].
