  1. Anyone else from Boston trying to track their route? I think they walked by the Christian Science church, the flooded hotel could be the Copley Plaza. I’m of two minds on the museum - Faneuil Hall or Athenaeum. The field they ran to at the end is giving me Boston Common vibes. Ellie’s bite abandoned mall could be the Pru.
  2. I’m jumping ship on this. I really tried but the show is so bad. Muddled storyline, poorly acted lead, and horrible pacing. Like there was a second great aunt? Where the heck did she come from? The lead is just a breathy bubbly girly with zero personality or power.
  3. The line that had me barking laughing, “Student loans?” to the gal who went to Brown.
  4. As a Scorpio cusp, there is a belief that we are hot tempered, possessive, opinionated, and hold grudges. Also, a high percentage of murderers are Scorpios. But it matters what the person’s rising and Venus is to get a good romantic picture. Scorpio confession - I will remember my second grade bully’s name to the day I die.
  5. As someone who is a smidge older than the main characters, I really related to the whole “Is this it?” dissatisfaction and then feeling like an ingrate for even asking. There is almost a mourning for who you dreamt you would be. I have cousins in their 20’s and I look at them and remember how full of hope and energy I used to be. Then I listen to “Blackhole Sun” and I’m back to my achy sleep deprived 40 something self.
  6. Just discovered this movie on Netflix and have recommended it to everyone who will listen. Also, watching reactors on YouTube watch along is so satisfying! Maybe we can get a Lemon and Tangerine prequel?
  7. Crazy theory: I have been noticing Jon Gries has been in the credits for the last couple episodes. White Lotus tends to be pretty consistent with their show credits - remember when Molly Shannon popped up last season? So what if Greg is at the Palazzo in disguise? My first suspicion is Salvador Dali mustache guy.
  8. Maybe Quentin killed Greg over a business dispute or he is the Wyoming cowboy? He is getting close to Tanya to get money for solving her problem. Or maybe blackmail her?
  9. I actually kinda liked this! I just had to shut off all the questions that came up like “Did real world Alice get fired? “ or “How are the wives not missing persons in the real world?” If Jack was allowed to be British, why wasn’t Alice also? Is it because Florence can do an impeccable American accent and Harry can’t? It’s hard to pick my favorite Alice dress. Heck I even liked her robes! Casting Harry Styles was such a mistake. An absolute charisma void. That Big Love kid should have played Jack. I’m pretty sure he can dance better than Pinocchio having a seizure…
  10. Anyone remember the US version of Life on Mars? 1899’s final scene sure seemed familiar….
  11. Yeah, I immediately thought of his heart defect. I was born with one (patent foramen ovale) but it wasn't discovered until I had a stroke in my twenties. So, that is where my head went. Mild strokes aka TIAs can be like migraines so the visual blurring would make sense. I take this all back if Henry dies. No parallels to me. Nope!
  12. The octopus was voiced by Nathan Fillion. Woohoo Firefly reuinion!

    S01.E01: Pilot

It’s kind of funny reading these comments. It seems like a lot of us tend to watch the same shows over the years. So, whatever audience demographic the marketers were aiming for, they got this bunch of eclectic weirdos! Seriously, X-Files, to Manifest, to Fringe, to the 4400 - I have found my people. ❤️

The mystery of it has me interested. The characters? Meh. Jonathan Tucker’s head and neck distracts me - they are the same width! My comparison combo is Defiance and X-Files. Maybe because life has been about pandemic for a year but I am surprised the debris wasn’t cordoned off or put in containment when it is discovered. Touching a floaty bit with bare hands is Prometheus dumb.
  15. This was an ugly cry episode for me. I lost my dad in 2019. It is just shocking how gone he was. I touched his face and it wasn’t him anymore. Since I knew my mind would just push away what happened, I took a picture of his corpse in the hospital bed so I would have proof. I thought I was going crazy for the next several months, I felt so lost. 2020 was going to be my recovery back to normal time -ha! Remember how Jimmy lost track of a guy in Witness Protection in Westview? With all of this talk about magic, we are assuming Dr. Strange will show up next week. What if it is Mordo?
  16. This was kind of like the first Jon Hamm episode where we knew he was pretty but had NO IDEA his comedy chops! Rege was really great and took every sketch thrown at him.
  17. That song has taken up residence in my brain for the last day! It has to be an evil spell.
  18. I thought the big reveal would be that these web sleuths founded QANON. Morbid was doxxed before it was a thing. Poor guy! This was really a documentary about mental illness and it’s fallout in different parts of society.
  19. I am a daughter of a WWII survivor. I grew up hearing about starving, losing everything, bombs, and women with cyanide in their teeth. Quite frankly, I’d love to have had a traumatized into silence kind of family! My grandmother told the stories for the attention/drama. My dad told the stories to guilt us when we complained about dinner or clothes. He was a ruminator. He had entire bookshelves full of WWII books. He even figured out the exact squadron that bombed the city he had been living in as a child. I like to joke that my other sibling is WWII. I believe I read somewhere that Hitler knew he could get away with the Final Solution because look at what happened to the Armenians.
  20. Ooh, remember the creepy mantra of “For the children”? Maybe the real Big Bad has the children while these adults get held hostage in Wanda’s story.
  21. I marathoned season 1 leading up to season 2 being available here in the States. I do like figuring out the rules and lore in supernatural shows. I really liked the world building in DoW. I loathe Teresa Palmer as Diana. She is a dishrag heroine with no agency. My roommate read the books and has told me the character is totally different. The actress who plays Satu would have been awesome as Diana in my opinion. The dialogue and story beats are odd as well which is probably due to condensing and adapting the book. Season 2 so far is not as enjoyable as 1. I do love the costumes. But between the mumble dialogue and poor lighting, I spend most of my time wondering who characters are and why I should care. I really hope things pick up later in the season!
  22. This movie is so bad, Hans Zimmer started using other movie’s music about 2/3 of the way through! I recognized John Murphy’s Adagio from Sunshine immediately. Fun fact, Handsome Man played Baze on “Life Unexpected”. I was all excited for him making the big screen but no character name and walking meat puppet - YIKES!
  23. I found a list of 12 episodes that cover Mandalore to get my roommate caught up. Easy peasy.
  24. Me too! Giggling along to the fish hole joke - blech. So poor Mark went from being bullied as a kid to laughing along with the bullies at other people’s pain. Also, how much money did he make off of the poor people he lured in? When they mentioned that NXIVM discouraged monogamy, was I the only one who suspected shenanigans with Mark, Sarah, Nippy, and Bonnie?
  25. A couple things. I have been Catherine Oxenberg - joking about something uncomfortable and traumatic too soon. She looked pretty apologetic and ashamed. The NXVM survivors might react like family members. If you were part of the family, yeah you can make fun of dad. The neighbors mom - shut your face. Keith has these views on women, takes millions of dollars from the successful ones as an extra fucked up punishment. Yeesh. I guess women in the military does not exist in Keith’s world. I also want to thank my lucky stars for the kind, emotionally whole men in my life. I was raised by a Keith-lite and NEVER AGAIN.
