My #1 issue with the ep. It had ONE job and it did it poorly.

My problems with Criss Angel is a Douchebag - I just didn't like any of the old guys. Especially Barry B.'s character. I didn't feel sorry for them, I didn't find them particularly funny, and I didn't care for Barry's sadness in the end. I usually a bleeding heart. Just didn't feel the love. - The punkgician was a douchebag. - I didn't feel the theoretical parallel with Sam & Dean. - The "Chief" gag felt paint-by-numbers - It took me a third rewatch to figure out THIS WAS THE PIVOTAL MOMENT OF SAM'S ARC. This is when Sam decides to go back to Ruby. They didn't sell it nearly well enough and Sam's character suffers for it (not only in this season but for the rest of the series). - Hey, that's my hometown and you kinda made a bleech episode in it. I kinda hate that. Ahem.. /rant off This is my Tuesday night vote since my plane doesn't land until early Wednesday am. I've been exceptionally busy lately -- barely time to vote in the Survivor game! -- but I've been meaning to comment on this episode. I completely believe Emma is Dean's biological daughter. Dean said "Actual she was, really. She just also happened to be a man-killing monster." What sold me was how they gave her some Dean qualities. Her 'yeah, but you could have done that 30 secs ago" is a DIRECT repeat from what Dean said to the waitress-demon in Lazarus Rising. I also believe Dean was going to let her walk if she put away the weapon. Family is everything to Dean and she was already getting under his skin IMO with her two minutes of conversation. What I don't buy is the equivalency of Amy Pond and Emma Winchester ... there...I gave her the Winchester name. Yes she saved Sam's life and was Sam's first kiss. But Emma was Dean's monster-spawn. I wasn't happy that they had Sam kill her. It almost felt petty. I know it wasn't. I BELIEVE Sam is truly worried about Dean. Further Sam just fought an Amazon, saw Emma's monster-face (Dean did not). But bringing up Amy kinda cheapened the issue for me. This is one of those plot-lines that is gone forever I believe. But I think they should have played it up a bit more. As I mentioned elsewhere, I think Dean was much more circumspect in his hook-ups after Emma. It was briefly mentioned in the next episode but I wish it had been an specific plot point. As for the episode itself: - I agree with others the episode was far from a standout. The intermix of sex and violence was a concept that they just didn't quite pull off IMO. - I loved seeing the Mayor from Buffy (my favorite Buffy villain, Glory is second). I liked his quirkiness and would like to see him back. - The plot was just ...okay. The dialog just ..okay. It could have been better. It wasn't bad though. So, I'm not sure where they went wrong. But for me, this episode is always the one that missed an opportunity to make Emma's plot more than it was in terms of how it affected Dean. And the truth is, I kinda wish Emma had lived.

I had a hard time for the first half hour of the movie getting over my pique. But then GROOT. So. I couldn't stay irritated at the movie and Chris Pratt did an excellent job. I want a GROOT.

I can't vote yet but I'll provide a premature eulogy as I'm in West Coast meetings all day. Here's why I love A Very Supernatural Chriatmas: - the minute the old CBS special swirl appeared I was 8 years old again. That was freakin brilliant. - the over-the-top happy vs horror. -worst carollers EVER. - the kitchen scene (which I can not watch without hands in front if my eyes) was both horrific and hilarious with the whole 'fudgin' kill you' schtick - killing with a Christmas Tree -the entire MOST TOUCHING AND MOST PATHETIC CHRISTMAS EVER.-- I come from a less than well off part of the world. Wrapping in cartoon section of the paper -- serious nostalgia moment. And the gifts were just perfect. Plus the makeshift tree, watching the game, song at the end. I am a bucket of weepy nostalgic quivering mess at the end of this episode. But I preferectly happy with the anticipated winner because it Is BRILLIANT.

Voting a wee bit early cause I'm not sure if the plane has wifi. Bad Day At a Black Rock is one of the FUNNIEST episodes. "I lost my shoe". The sight gags in the motel room. Well someone had to do it. Still, you have to admire how long it took for us to finally vote these guys off the Island. Let's first talk bout the wonder that is Dream a Little Dream. For me it's the Dean vs Dean scene that haunts me. In light of the ending of S9..... Wowser. And No Rest is Just Heartbreaking. The goodbye is so quick and perfect. The SONG. And Sam's face as he holds dead Dean. I liked Season 9. A lot. I'd binge 1-11 via iTunes, do t,he Hulu thing for the rest.

I enjoyed reading all the rationale. Jus In Bello to me is one of the best episodes ever.
