  1. I don't really expect Luci to show either. Too many other ways of resolving the problem. Perhaps the scene where Cas tells Sam to shoot Metatron (okay, who laughed.... I laughed) is where they extract more data out of him. Who or what is "the source" is the BIG question. And if Dean is off on his own, how would they tell him if they found out the answer.

  3. It sure came across as Chekov's back door, didn't it?
  4. While I grill most days of the year (even in the dead of cold winter), my favorite cooking is anything to do with roasting. There's just something homey about it and everyone comes nosing into the kitchen in anticipation as the aromas fill the house.
  5. I think so as well. Also, Bob Singer and Carver spend time together with the big picture. I'd be surprised if he doesn't pass that on to his spouse. It's a reasonable collaboration to expect if they are both passionate about their jobs. And while there are time that Singer definitely comes across like he's phoning it in, there are other things he says that make me think that I'm wrong about that. So... who knows. I don't think "mostly mytharc" is due to nepotism. I actually think it's due more to writing styles and how Carver/Singer view their staff. Ben Edlund said he used to get all the wacky comedy stuff until he got a shot at "On The Head of A Pin". And then he got "The End" (damn that was good). So they've developed an approach and worked with it. Who has more seniority that Buckner-Lemming at this point? BTW, I agree about Adam working his butt off. He often tweets while writing. I also think Robbie and Bobo do a great deal of homework for each episode. Is there parts of the writing that get a "WTF?" from me? Sure. From every writer from time to time. But it's not horrific (except the episode which must not be named) IMO. This is, IMO, one of those areas where some episodes "land" for most people, some episodes "fail" for most people, and then everything in-between has too many variables to always pin down individual reaction.
  6. I'm a bibliophile (legal in all states....means I love books). I was just flabbergasted when I first saw this video. And now I want to peruse the MoL library. I bet they've made an actual relevant collection of books on many of the shelves. Because that's Jerry's way.
  7. Huh. Go figure. I can't stand vacuuming. I will happily clean the bathroom as a more cathartic experience. Vacuuming, unless it's getting up something specific, is less satisfying to me.
  8. First off, this is HARD. Each has something to commend them and condemn them. Second, I'm presuming this is the "list". ++ Meg Masters -- Lilith ++ Alastair 19 - Meg Masters 17 - Azazel 15 - Crowley 15 - Abaddon 15 - Cain 13 - Ruby 13 - Alastair 11 - Lilith
  9. Well let me eulogize him a bit more....Dear Gabriel, did you get my flowers? You were the most delightful archangel. Fun, human-loving, and finally stood up to your brothers. While I hope to see you on the show again one day, it's time for you to move along for now. But there's no doubt in my mind you'll have tricked your way out of trouble and be back soon. Cas, they broke the mold with you. I don't care what you say, I think you are the funniest angel in the garrison.

  11. rue, here's my shopping secret: - I go online (Harris Teeter, Giant, etc..., MANY stores offer this service). - I click on what I want (usually from the last order I repeat most things). - I drive to the store, hit the buzzer, bring the groceries to my car, put the groceries in my trunk - I drive home and unpack. Some will eve bring the groceries to your house. And for those who say it cost too much ($4.5 if you pay each time, less than $2 if you pay for a full year and go every week)... think how much you save in avoiding impulse buying. You buy JUST WHAT YOU NEED, and not what looks good. Try it. Seriously.
  12. As Cas would say, it represents an interesting curl in the metaphysics. Where to demons go when they get killed by a weapon designed to eliminate, vice exorcise, the demon? Same goes for Angels killed by Angel Blades. Personally I think God lets them go poof and it adds more entropy to the universe. In SPNverse, Angels are definitively NOT human. They are non-corporal sentient creatures that were created before man (but after Leviathans).
  13. Having read the comics, which I consider canon as Joss Whedon praised the story and folded it into his own canon comics line, I loved the Angel ending. IF they die, Death has to be there.
  14. I guess I think we're getting that and I like S10. Would I like to have a few more episodes where their individual competencies are on display? Yes. But I this this: Is a good plot for S10. It's a long-standing problem and they are taking a long time to realistically deal with it. I'm on board with that. I guess I'm saying, not everyone watches for the same reason.
  15. Hmmm maybe Dean has a vampire bite him and then gets beheaded and goes to Purgatory. No... I don't want to see that. I'd be worried about Cas for the suicide, what with his fading grace, BUT I'm fairly certain Misha was busy with drone wars in his backyard this week and wasn't filming. I am glad Jared went ahead and reached out regarding the suicide plot and the tie to his T-shirt. I think these guys see a lot of people at conventions who sharing their personal story of depression. Plus, again, it hits close to home with him. He's so jazzed about the outreach the #SPNFamily has done with his T-shirt campaign too. From my favorite spoiler gatherer http://ibelieveinthelittletreetopper.tumblr.com/post/104847883843/season-10-spoiler-sheet: So, I'm hoping they deal with this well. I'm not 100% that the title has been confirmed to this Goethe novel, OTOH, since Jared's said it deals with suicide, that seems more likely now. I'm fine with an "Angel"-like ending ("let's get to work.) In this case it'd be, "We've Got Work To Do", trunk slam, smash credits.
  16. Yeah, sounds like he bites it.
  17. Dean had the First Blade in that confrontation with Crowley. Abbadon couldn't keep Dean with the Blade pinned to the wall. And he was a human then. Plus Crowley had to have Dean kill Abbadon for him. I'm pretty sure Dean with the First Blade is more powerful than Crowley. And I think Rowena made that clear too. But I also agree, it's been mostly tell vs show. So I agree they wasted a chance to show Dean with powers. I think the narrative rationale was to show that Dean didn't really give a shit about power. I think it's kind of a ' Bilbo and the Ring' vibe. It's why Dean might be able to beat the Mark's effect and retain control of his own mind.
  18. I think Dean, even though he was trying to sell "don't give a shit" 'tude, was doing everything to stay in control. So I think he did not remotely explore his skills.

  20. But it's been fun watching your journey catrox!
  21. Well Dean had the super healing powers, that's Knight of Hell class skill.
  22. I think they have answered some of these questions. Perhaps not clearly but here's the stuff they've at least stated or showed:Cain's power vs others - he's not a disembodied soul possessing a meatsuit, he became a demon in his own body. He was first a human with the Mark but committed suicide as the bloodlust got too powerful. He committed suicide with the blade and the Mark resurrected him as a demon. (9.23)So it would appear the branding of his body with Lucifer's Mark is what essentially made him immortal. How the rest of his powers (beyond super healing) developed, they don't say. But he teleported, smited demons, was telekinetic, immune to the demon blade, and hella-strong. And immortal in his own meatsuit. It's implied that regular demons can keep going indefinitely. I'm pretty sure Dean as a demon was immortal. I think he kinda is now (cause if the Mark won't let him die, then if he gets killed afain, he'll be back to demon) Abbadon did not have the Mark. She was a regular demon in that she needed a meatsuit. OTOH, you couldn't kill her except with the First Blade. They didn't explain how Cain 'made' these Knights. Dean told Marie in Fan Fiction that not only did he become a demon, he became a Knight of Hell. Crowley is the one who said a human body couldn't handle the Mark, evidence by both Cain (pre-suicide) and Dean, but a demon could. In 10.1 and 10.2 Dean acknowledged that if he didn't kill (as a demon), he got antsy and his eyes were black. I think it's was also implied he went more feral without occasionally killing. In the alleyway in 10.10, Crowley said the Blade fueled Dean's bloodlust. Which is consistent with how Dean shook every time he reached for it. Interested enough, he seemed less shakey and more in control. Cain also seemed jazzed by the Blade and heavily implied that getting rid of the Blade helped him keep his commitment to Colette. And it was Colettes love (per First Born) that allowed his to have the strength of character to resist killing. So, in sum, Cain was immortal due to the Mark resurrecting him as a demon. Staying away from the Blade helped him to stay in control. Dean, thus far, is showing more control as time goes by but is avoiding the Blade to avoid the bloodlust.
  23. I usually watch the super gory episodes thru my fingers. It helps.
  24. Love of Pie maneuver. I'm on board. But speaking of Abbadon, somehow she got ahold of Crowley's blood (Lola I think), and used it to go back in time to get Crowley's son Gavin. So yes, Sam could go back.
