  1. Yeah, I've called him The Forgotten Duggar long before he fell into that orchestra pit. Poor, neglected Jason.
  2. Too bad to hear about the Willises, although I don't see what else they could really show about these people. They already hit on pretty much all bases, and anything else would just be same song, difererent verse. I mean, how many songs can we watch the oldest daughter compose? How many singalongs or Irish dancing? I do like them, but the model for them looks to get very stale very quickly. And no weddings for them; if the oldest two kids leave and cleave, there is no more Willis Clan. So much for that theory about how TLC could be pulling in higher ratings than during what they had during May Sweeps. It has to be a June vs. June comparison (and I don't mean Mama!)
  3. The picture is backward. Check out the hand holding the camera. As for hairspray, they use a TON. They used Aussie Formula super duper strength (don't recall its exact name) to lock in those beachy waves. I think several things contribute to Duggar Girl acne. That said, what's the excuse for the boys? Most of them are even worse.
  4. The bedroom has a giant hair and makeup station with a triple mirror. It was seen in the redecorating episode (and is still there). You can also see it in the hair tutorial, where Jessa is in her element, even being bitchy to Jill.
  5. In that case, apparently reruns of SYTTD and Four Weddings, etc. bring in higher ratings than Duggar reruns? TLC also launches their summer lineup, so the nighttime stuff has new offerings of the Gypsy Sisters, Amish, etc. The Willises might have also done fairly well. Christians with TALENT for crying out loud. So much more enjoyable than watching the aftermath of a Duggar getting her wisdom teeth pulled.
  6. The Duggars already have a YouTube channel. I think it's Duggar Films. The Howlers run it (primarily Jason, IIRC).
  7. Correct. But Fayetteville abuts Tonitown and Springdale to the south. It's much closer than I'd also originally thought.
  8. They said he "had a heart for the ministry," so he could be studying pretty much anything Clown College offers, aside from music. That's for girls, silly!
  9. Hell, who DIDN'T want to bang Luca? #adiosprickweed
  10. Sacto is just too.damn.hot. I can only stand it if I'm on a boat in the Delta or Lake Folsom. I'm perfectly happy existing on THIS side of the coastal range. :D
  11. The Mold House is about 5 miles from the TTH, IIRC. StoneyBrook (Jill's McMansion) is in Rogers, which is about 20-30 minutes away.
  12. As a non-local student, Joseph HAS to live on-campus. I believe you can only live at home if you are within a 30-ish mile radius of the school (might be as much as 50...it's been a while since I checked). He certainly visits often, but you rarely see him in pictures that the Bateses publish on Instagram (they rarely use the blog anymore). I wonder if that's due to a conflict of interest. Many of these parties the Bateses have had of late happened during the school year. I wonder if Joseph even attended, but had to be hidden off-camera? I noticed that DuggarFamilyOfficial (FB page) is still hiding behind the skirts of the little girls. Cowards.
  13. I'm sure Benessa are still at the Mold House. She just spends a ton of time at the TTH. I agree with Vaysh; she spends TOO MUCH time there for someone who is a newlywed. I guess I can understand it since Joshgate, because they're closing ranks, but she was there an inordinately large amount of time before that. I guess that goes along with the fact that these girls really don't have friends outside of the family unit. I wonder when the last time Jessa saw any of her bridesmaids was. As for her expression, I personally think she is smirking. She looks unusually smug. MMV, of course. :D
  14. Sure. I'm used to it. LOL :D
  15. That was my guess. The Mold House doesn't have such sloping ceilings.
  16. Oakland. Warmer and less foggy than San Francisco, cooler than San Jose (it can get damn hot down there). It's perfect. :D Headed out for a 3-4 mile hike now. Can't do that after 9am in most of the country this time of year. :p
  17. Living in what is deemed the city with the best climate in the country, I am totally spoiled. We only need a/c a few days each year (most homes and older office buildings don't have air). Windows are open year-round. Needless to say, I don't do well anywhere east of the Rockies past Father's Day. :D You guys can have your heat, humidity, and bitter cold. I'll sit here in my naturally-cooled abode, where the temperature is about the same inside as out. :D
  18. I'm quite certain that Jessa and Ben had their ultrasound appointment filmed, even if it was by Jason, to be shown (they hope) during a VSE baby event. Jessa posted a selfie about an hour ago (link on the Benessa thread) of her 20-week pregnant body. Apparently, despite what they say about being at peace if the show is over, she's not going down without a fight.
  19. I knew she wouldn't let the 20 week milestone pass without a selfie. https://instagram.com/p/36xF8zDfm6/?taken-by=jessaseewald
  20. Josh went to ALERT later. He's seen with a shaven head in an early special when they're moving out of the Johnson Rd. house (where the abuse happened) to the "rent house." So I must disagree that it was a privilege for JOSH to leave the home. He left for punishment and for indoctrination to solidify his standing in a cult. I don't think Josh ever thought of it as a privilege However, Jana is so steeped in the koolaid that yes, JTTH is probably a vacation for her. I've only seen pics of Jill from two JTTHs, but there isn't a lot to be gained; she was in group pics, matching clothing. Remember that horrid pink, striped polo...I've seen six or seven girls in the same shirt at the same time. I think it was Joy's first JTTH. As for Jill, she just sort of fades into that woodwork. Good on Jill for trying to do *something* Too bad that her mentor turned out to be such a shyster.
  21. I'm on the west coast and was on vacation the week the story broke, so I don't have a sense of when InTouch put out the first article on the 19th. That article hinted at everything, and I remember posting here that night that there could be quite a libel suit if it was typical tabloid trash. However, we know InTouch got a letter sometime that day. My internet is wonky right now, but it would be interesting to know what time of day that article was posted. Did they have the letter in hand, or did they post on faith that the records would be delivered? I am wondering at bravado vs. fact. I would think that FOIA requests are confidential, and the Duggars couldn't be informed until a request is actually fulfilled. I can't see the Duggars knowing before InTouch was informed that they would receive them on 5/19. I think *that* would be against regulations, but hey, between JB and JD, they know most of the force, sans the chief, obviously.
  22. What I found interesting is that Mechelle acted as if she'd just heard the word "bling" for the first time that day. BUT, IIRC, when they went dress shopping for Jill, I recall Mechelle saying that she was "all about the bling" like a seasoned pro from about 15 years ago. Not that SHE had been saying it for 15 years, but she was obviously well-acquainted with the word before that interview with the bridal shop woman. Ava Laurenne Bridal sponsored that video; more proof that Jill's dress was DEFINITELY comped. Jill and Ava Laurenne also live-tweeted the wedding (as did Anna), always tagging the bridal shop. JB amd M were probably so proud of their daughter, although it had to be the bridal shot that contacted either Jill or production about having Jill visit the shop. It was too far outside of DC for Anna to know of it on her own. At minimum, it's one less check JB had to write. Of course, that's negatively offset by the horror that was Mechelle's dress. Yikes!
  23. We have a No Soliciting sign on our front door (condo). Our building has outdoor hallways and is accessible from the street, so we're ripe pickings for the Mormons (we have a Temple in the city) as well as Jehovah's Witnesses. One day, I saw them coming and waited for them to ring the doorbell. I told them to look a the sign. They replied that they weren't selling anything. I told them that they were soliciting religion and kindly asked them to move on.
  24. Point taken. The report was released on the 19th (InTouch published the letter they received; I'm sure it's on the threda somewhere). That means that they would have known as early as 5/4, which was the tape date of Digging In. Would that really take two weeks to turn around? It's really just a matter of redacting the names of the victim, which are very easily ascertained. That couldn't take more than a week, at most. In my world, of course. :D
  25. Great post. I've followed the machinations of Driscoll and MH for years, so I was jumping for joy when I heard he was being forced out by the Acts 29 cabal. As for Josh, he's easily replaced by any number of uber-conservative homeschooled graduates of places like Patrick Henry, which place a premium on politically-motivated students who were previously homeschooled, more in the Seewald mold than the Duggars, but you get the idea. The Harris twins have written books, led mega seminars, and are pursuing careers in writing and law. They are even a bit younger than Josh. They (or even one of them) would be a perfect fill-in to get the youth vote galvanized; they already have a huge built-in base of fans. Just saying that there are a lot of people who could do what Josh did. They may not have had a TV show, but then again, a lot of that voting bloc doesn't own TVs. They DO own computers, and go to homeschooling conferences. Before the scandal, Doug Phillips' oldest son might have been a candidate for a job like Josh's. He doesn't have the college pedigree, although he may have reconsidered that after the fall of his father, but Vison Forum also had a very big following amongst those folks, including the Seewalds. Ben would know who Joshua Titus Phillips is, and I bet he read the Harris brothers' books as a younger teen.
