I thought about that after I posted, but Derick's shirt looks dry. Wet shirts cling, even to skinny people! I also wonder about their non-profit being formed by the Huckabee PR guy who set up the FOX interview. I wonder if the Dillards put a bunch of their FOX interview proceeds (and I've read that Boob may have earned 7 figures) into this venture to shelter it from taxes? Chad what's his name was flown back to Springdale on June 16 with the paperwork, which was filed on the 17th. Derick's an accountant, after all. He just needed a lawyer, and the scandal provided him with both a huge payday and a nice Christian attorney with a consulting firm. Just throwing this out there. It's not that far-fetched when you start putting the pieces together.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events

I'm thinking that Joshiepoo got about 2 months' severance and insurance coverage. That would cover Anna's delivery, although do these lay midwives even deal with insurance companies, or are they cash only outfits? Not snarking; I have zero experience with midwives who aren't connected with an OB-GYN's office. -
I just posted this picture about three posts up. :D eta: w/r/t Derick's hair. I wonder if he gelled it up, it got hot, and his hair went all limp on him because it's longish and looks to be pretty fine. He's young and Southern. He should be able to take the heat, which is why I think it's a styling malfunction.

Jill and Derick were also at SilverDollarCity yesterday. I guess the new job that Derick referenced in that email is not conventional employment. I have a feeling he's in the employ of JB now. *sadface* Yes, they set up that non-profit for their "ministry," but that word can mean a ton of things, not just going on mission trips. If there were still doubters about Derick being assimilated by the Duggars, I think they can be put to rest; he may as well change his name to Derick Duggar. https://www.facebook.com/1561331044117771/photos/a.1561336054117270.1073741828.1561331044117771/1608296356087906/?type=1&fref=nf eta: Derick needs a shower. Badly.

No, when either of them tell the refreshment stand story, they say that Anna was with one of her sisters. They never say who JOSH'S accountability partner was, but I think we can now all ascertain with about 100% certainty that it was a brother. I hope to God that they didn't let that creeper run around the ATI homeschool conference all by himself!

Haha! Goes to show how much *I* have watched Andy Griffith (pretty much never). :D I'm of JB/Mechelle's generation, and cut my teeth on stuff like All in the Family, Maude, MASH, etc. And yes, Little House and The Waltons for a while before I outgrew them. Of course, none of those shows exist, except maybe The Waltons (early seasons, before the girls got too saucy and found careers for themselves). I know the girls wore those horrible bloomers and hair mops, but did they ever really read Little House or watch? I've heard conflicting reports on whether it was an accepted show or not, for all the reasons we've discussed here many times. I know they heard about it, because one of the girls mentions it when they're decorating the TTH bedroom back in 2006. Maybe one or two read a book or two of the series before they pulled the plug? Who knows, really?

That's what I also see, and what the circle seems to be pointing out. The holding hands seems to have been badly photoshopped into the picture. Her real hand seems to be in the vicinity of his crotch. His arm seems to be behind her. Do not use Libby Zellon for your photographic needs! Just take another picture of them holding hands for crying out loud!

This photog took some really crappy shots at their wedding. Now Jilly Muffin has three arms! LOL https://instagram.com/p/4SvV53g4nt/

I agree about Anna. You could pack a small country in those bags. Josh's aren't much better. -
Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events

Seeing that he's firmly ensconced in the family fold, I have no doubt that he'll be working for "Pops." I read that they're already in the Siloam Spings home, which was being worked on the last time someone got pics of it (I posted them a couple of weeks ago with the moving van article). It's an easy drive down one highway to the TTH. Yes, it's further than the Mold House, but close enough for Josh to commute in every morning (18 miles from town to town). After DC and after Joshgate, he'll do that commute and LIKE it. -

Nice to know that Josh is back to work for Pops....oh wait.... eta: Looks like this came from SDC. https://instagram.com/p/4SrdYLuWPT/?taken-by=joshduggar -
No thanks! As for drinks, I'm like Josh's "mother." You'll have to pry the Starbuck's out of my cold, dead hands. Friday nights is for Chardonnay. I drink maybe one diet coke/pepsi a week, if that. Otherwise, it's tons of water. Our tap water is excellent, and I'm cheap, so there's that. I tried making lemon water in my recycled Crystal Geyser liter bottles, but they got moldy after a while. Ick. I can't drink out of glasses because, well, cats. :D RIP Doug Adams. I still have the original BBC Hitchhiker's Guide on VHS, taped from PBS c.1981 (not purchased...again, I'm cheap).

They would have posted much more but for the almost month-long moratorium on social media set forth by their PR/consulting guy. They are also not yet done with that damn chalkboard. For those keeping score, this has double the amount of likes that Anna's Father's Day post got. https://instagram.com/p/4QqEBhLs84/

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events

Had we only known there were five victims, it would have been EASIER to assume that ALL of the sisters were victims. After all, there were only five at the time the molestations occurred, and we know they were in a tiny house with easy access. So, there's that. I think a scenario like that would have forced the Duggars' hand to admit the truth of the situation, eliminating one sister from the pool. In this situation, I just don't see the Duggars keeping silent; this whole mess has proven that they can only stay quiet as long as someone tells them that there's a potential paycheck to be gained from it. After that, all bets have been off. -
The shirt has baby feet down around her bump, so it's meant to be a reference to Ben's sperm hitting the spot. aka: Touchdown! He was a football player during his homeschool high school years. This is as close to humor as we can ever expect Jessa to get, and in the footsteps of her father, it's all about the sex.

I think their fans would cheer them for adopting a healthy, bouncing, white-skinned baby. Most of them wouldn't have thought this issue through as has been done in this forum. They would continue to have plenty of sunshine blown up their asses to make them think there is nothing wrong with what they're doing. Does anyone think they would take a brown child, unless it came from the SOS orphanage. I imagine that would be an easy adoption process for them; they're white fundies, and the head of the organization married them. Check, check, and check. That said, that's the ONLY exception I could see with them in terms of adopting outside of their race.

Nah, he was too busy eating frozen lasagna and otherwise being feted yesterday to worry about Anna's Instagram account. I do feel for the person who was stuck doing that on a perfectly lovely Sunday afternoon. I hope against hope that the Duggars pay well. -
Hmmm....I've never heard of any restrictions (I even slogged through all of their "books!). That said, this is the Duggars, so nothing would surprise me. :D

They watch Andy Griffith. It's always been one of the "approved" shows. I always wondered how they got around Floyd, the town drunk (that IS his name, right?). Do they find those episodes and put blocks on them? eta: ginger90, we've been discussing the Joshie video on the Smuganna thread since yesterday. :)

Like I said yesterday, the PR team is all over that post, almost immediately zapping comments they consider to be "negative." So, if TLC is watching, they are seeing a sanitized version of the "truth" of the matter. I hope that TLC is smarter than this little scripted Duggar Charade.
