I do love that about Junior because, unlike Urkel, he doesn't look like a TV nerd. No dorky glasses, no ill fitting clothes. He just looks like a normal kid, maybe not the coolest, trendiest kid, but he looks like the majority of actual teenagers IRL. He just happens to like Star Wars and Lord of the Rings and that's just who he is. And I agree that the actor is doing a great job. The whole show is perfectly cast. I think they are all great and each one of them has had standout moments. Each of the kids has exceeded my expectations.

I've never seen Whitney as a gold digger. She seems more interested in having babies. I think that she does want a guy who is financially secure enough that she can quit her job and raise her babies, but I don't think she's all OMG I need a millionaire!!!! I do agree with the person who said she is seeing all her friends get married and is feeling the age pressure and coming on the show seemed like a quick way to make a quick husband, provided she wins, and let's face it, girl has been doing every single thing she possibly can to win this. I don't think it's necessarily because she has this strong connection to Chris so much as she thinks he'll give her healthy, attractive babies and the lifestyle necessary to stay home and raise them. In this sense she is the right choice since he does seem to want a wife to stay at home and raise his babies. But I think that he is more attracted to Becca, hence his having to make a tough choice. Follow his heart and pick a woman he is in love with but who doesn't quite seem to share his feelings and his future plans, or go with the sure thing who seems crazy about him but that he isn't as much attracted to as the other choice. It makes sense with everything I've seen of him that he picks the sure thing who wants more than anything to be exactly what he claims he's looking for, a wife and mother.

I totally forgot about that. Good memory! So why would an adult being doing this to teenagers? What did they do? I wish the show would at least start to get to this major elephant in the room, but I have a feeling they don't actually know. But to me, it's kind of the most important thing. What could these teenagers have done that someone would want them in jail/dead/terrified all the time/have their lives ruined? And who the hell has that kind of time?

I was all for Spencer and Collin. She just seemed so comfortable, relaxed, flirty, fun. I love that Spencer. What I do find interesting, storywise, is that Spencer has seemed 100% more comfortable, natural and happy with both Collin and Johnny (was that Hipsters name?) than she has with Toby in ages. At this point, I really can't remember why Spencer and Toby even got together. They both just seem so miserable around each other, like it's a choir to stay together. That is interesting to me, because I get the feeling the idiots in charge aren't giving up on Spoby, so why are they showing how much happier Spencer is without him? Is it possible the end of that tedious relationship is near? Oh please, please, please, and if so, can Toby be A again? I loved when he was A even more than when Ezra was (mainly because plot wise getting back at them for being thrown in juvie made more sense than screwing with them to write a book). Troian does flirty amazingly well. Not much else stuck with me about the ep. There are just way too many logic gymnastics I have to do to accept most of the cop/jail plot. I just can't with that shit anymore. But if Spencer wants to do a spin off in London with Melissa and yummy Wren and flirty Collin all I ask is that she bring the Marin's with her and I'm in.

that was just utterly charming. The whole show was charming and even though Nancy was my third favorite out of the three, I am so happy she won because she fully deserved it. She did beautifully on finale weekend. I watched the show OnDemand on Comcast and they had the where are they now segment at the end, which I adored. I loved seeing everyone again both at the picnic and knowing what they are doing now. Yay on Martha for passing all her exams. lol I loved seeing all their families and the whole picnic atmosphere at the end. And the total and utter lack of manufactured drama. The only drama was in bakes not going the way the bakers wanted. Poor Richard really did crash and burn, but he did get Star Baker a record number of times so he is definitely not a failure. And I love when Luis said the right person won, They all seemed to genuinely like and respect one another. It was a beautiful series and a perfect finale. I am so glad I found this little show.

think thats the problem. The "Who is A?" thing was such a big thing and then because there's been so many false alarms, I've just stopped caring who it is, really.Something has to happen for that to change. The show has cried wolf so many times that when they finally do reveal the real A, no one is going to believe them and it will lose any impact it should have had (and they probably think it will have because they'll think it's soo clever while we will all think it's just another trick). At this point they've used the most likely suspects, Toby, because of the whole juvie thing, Jenna, because of the whole blinding thing, Mona because she's batshit insane, Ezra because he's just a big old perv, there is really no one left who won't feel like they got pulled out of some writers ass. Toby as A was a great reveal. It made sense. OMG he's getting them back for what they did to him! Brilliant. But nope, he's a love interest so it ain't him. Then there was Ezra and I think most of us were impressed they actually went there, but nope, he's a love interest, so they didn't really go there. Now there's no one left who will be even remotely satisfied, so I'm all for getting freaky with it. They are all living dolls. There's a little girl named Courtney who is locked up somewhere, not Radley, that's too obvious and not twisty enough, so, let's say, an old WWII fall out shelter. Yeah, she was put there years ago by her parents to protect her from the "big one" and now she thinks there is no world anymore, and so she lives out her life with her little dolls. Makes as much sense as anything, and hey, dolls have been a major theme on the show so...foreshadowing!!! Yes, I'm mostly kidding, but I can't imagine anything they come up with being any more plausible or logical at this point.

This is my take on Laurel. She is quiet, but always aware. Still waters run deep with this one, and the murder kind of awoke her inner sociopath if you will. She's always had it in her but never had to tap into that side of her, sticking with mild manipulation like the holiday dinner. But this one is certainly the coldest of the bunch. She's analytical and, like I said, an observer. I think she's most like Bonnie. Quiet, seems insignificant but fully capable of destroying a person if need be. I do think what Rebecca did to Rudy is worse than murder. He's trapped in purgatory. I believe/hope, that what we saw is what we get. Sam ordered Frank to kill Lila and now we're done with that convoluted plot. Let's move on to who killed Rebecca and how the gang deal with the law breathing down their necks regarding Sam's murder. This isn't "who got away with murder" it's "how to get away with murder", so let's see how they will get away with it.

The warning flag for me, with Vince, was his mellow freak-out that Jenn seemed to like Joe. I knew a guy who had a similar reaction to me showing interest in someone else and I was like "dude, we're not dating, I don't even like you so step off". That was the vibe I got from Vince. He'd marked his territory, Jenn, and was marking it again by challenging her feelings for Joe when she has a right to be friendly to anyone she wants, whether she and Vince are an alliance, a couple or friends. It wasn't his instant connection with Jenn that bugged, but his reaction to her having interest in anyone but him. Creeper!!! I have no feel for the blue tribe right now. Couldn't name a single one or pick them out of a lineup. I thought they'd be my favorite team, the relatable ones, salt of the earth and all that, but I got nothing. So far I like Jenn and Joe of the nocollar tribe (yellow? I forget their color already) and Carolyn and bearded guy from the white collar. Can't stand Joquin on sight and the fat one in the speedo just for visual reasons.

So, he wanted to bang Becca but Whitney is willing to be his little wifey so he settled for her? Ouch! But hey, I guess points for being practical. But if I were Whitney, I would not be happy hearing about that. But she's as clinical as he is about it, so she probably doesn't care, so long as she gets her babies and the millions to raise them comfortably. I'm pretty sure Kelsey is unaware of anything that happens outside her ego-driven imagination, so she probably is shocked that the girls thought she was a loon. She thinks she's smarter than all of them, so she probably assumed she had them all fooled. Luckily she can just dismiss it as jealousy and go back to her awesome widowhood. I can't wait for the crazy!

Carly would have been another Ashley. Kaitlyn is way too comfortable with herself to fall into that. her issue isn't being afraid men won't like her, it's getting her walls to come down. I think guys would totally go for Kaitlyn. There might be two seconds of "damn, I wanted to fuck Britt" but I don't think the guys will be devastated to have a cute, sexy, fun girl instead. Someone they can pound and then go drinking with afterwards. I'm not interested in watching a bunch of guys drool over the human blow up doll so I'd be happy to see Kaitlyn have a go. Not sure she'd find love, but I bet a good time will be had by all. I honestly don't think Britt could handle being that many different people in such a short span of time. Having to mold yourself to fit 25 or so different guys would wear her out in no time. Then we'd get more and more scene's of her weeping badly on the steps. (I like Britt, she was an early favorite, I just think she's one of those insecure women who changes herself to please men and I don't really need to watch that all season...again)

How did Aria even cheat? Didn't Ezra pretty much break up with her? (I remember some scene of them blabbing something to each other and she was crying and he said something about letting her finally be her age instead of being part of some old couple) And she just kissed Andrew, not even a big make out session, just a smooch. And that is worse than purposely hooking up with her to write a tell all book about her and her friends, spying on her for years and not helping her with the crazed stalker who is threatening her and her friends? um, yeah, Ezzzzria fans terrify me. I adore Andrew. I really prefer him with Spencer, but hell, I prefer everyone with Spencer. That girl oozes chemistry. But I will take him and Aria since this is the most I've enjoyed Aria in...like...ever. Spencer was adorable at the Oxford interview and I loved her freak out. Not sure what to think about Ali. All her "repentant" behavior came after she got the dust text that "Mona told everything" so I'm not sure I'm buying it completely. I found Hanna's reaction to Ashley and Pastor Ted's engagement a bit odd.

Luis has grown on me so much, I'm thrilled he made it through to the end. His chocolate cherry thing looked delicious and I loved his flower baklava. I thought that was so cool and inventive. I adore Richard, so I'm happy to see him as star baker once again. I actually prefer Nancy to Chetna so I was happy with the outcome but seriously, I would have been happy with any of them in the top three. I think what I like so much about this cooking competition over others is that even though they are under time restraints, and they are rushing, as much as I guess you can rush baking, there is also a sort of ease to everyone. They don't seem freakishly stressed. And they help each other, and I love when they look around, like Chetna did this time, to see what everyone else is doing, especially on the technical since they rarely seem to know what they are doing. lol That's kind of fun, having them follow very basic instructions on something they aren't familiar with. I love seeing how close they can get to the actual bake. This show is truly delightful.

I certainly wouldn't watch this show if I didn't have people to snark about it with. Social media is the only reason I watch. My friends and I sit on facebook and snark away. Without that, the show would be unwatchable. I'm certainly not here for the "love story".

S01.E13: Mama's Here Now
Mabinogia replied to Tara Ariano's topic in How To Get Away With Murder [V]
I wish every television producer/writer could see what a strong reaction people are having to the hair brushing scene. IMO, it was one of the most powerful scene's this show has had. It was not shocking, there was no twist, but it has people talking. See producers, sometimes viewers really just want to see strong character moments like this. It was quiet but so very powerful. It spoke not only about these two characters, but about an entire group of women, mothers and daughter, who relate so strongly to that one, simple scene. So often shows, especially this type of show, which is centered on a murder mystery, forget about the little quiet moments that make characters real. That scene, as well as way back when, the first scene when Annaliese took off her wig and looked at herself in the mirror, are such strong moments. The rest of the show really pales in comparison. I don't think it matter so much who killed Lila. What matters, based on the title of the show, is how they are going to get away with it. I can see it being Rebecca because we're close to the end, Rebecca's shadiness is being amped up and I can see her taking off now that Wes, her hope for getting away with it, is on to her. The show would end with them trying to prove it was her, but no one believes them because they did such a good job of proving it wasn't her. Oh, that would be a twisted take on crying wolf. Everyone will say Annaliese was just trying to clear her dead husbands name. Though, is that even the murder that whoever gets away with, or is it killing Sam that is the murder they get away with? Anyway, I'm more interested in how they get away with it than who did it. -
Well, when you put it that way JenE4, I say Britt for the B'ette and I would watch it for all the 'wrong reasons'. I 100% believe that, on the surface, more men would fall head over heels for Britt. She makes sure of it. She has manufactured a persona and image for the main purpose of attracting people to her. IMO, there is no way in hell she would find a real connection, because she's not real. But I would love to see her chameleon style backfire as the guys talk to each other "I'm so into this chick, she loves football as much as I do, it's awesome" "wait, she said she hated sports. I was telling her how I feel that sports glorify violence and she said she agreed. She would much rather a man with a strong mind than a strong body" "no way! She said she loved that I focus so much on my looks" etc. Now, half of them probably wouldn't care because they are only there to bang the hot one and get some camera time and travel and I don't think she'd care because she's just there to be discovered and want guys to want her so it would be a more unconventional happy ending. The great thing about this franchise is, I find it equally enjoyable if I love the star or not. If I love them, I root for them to find someone, I want the best guy to win. But if I don't, I totally watch fort he drama and the crazy and to see how long their 15 minutes lasts before they can't stand being near each other anymore and break it off. Of course, if I really can't stand them, I just won't watch.

She would be my vote because she's still more engaging than any of the women this season. Kaitlyn is the only one I can see myself watching a whole season of. Whitney's voice would do me in. Britt's fakeness would exhaust me. Becca is pretty but non-existent to me. Jade would put me to sleep. And Carly, well, maybe if she worked on the eyebrows and the self-esteem but I think as she is, she's too needy, plus it would be, was it Ali, or one of the many Ashley's all over again, where they guys are disappointed because they wanted the "hot" one? Because, she is pretty, but I would not consider Carly hot or sexy. She's more cute, kind of girl next door, but without the sweet innocence that a guy usually looks for in a "cute" non-sexy girl. I think, even if Kaitlyn isn't ready to settle down, her season would be a lot of fun because she'd be one of the guys. I could actually see her just hanging out at the guys house, chilling and thereby actually getting to know them in a more realistic way than the over the top dates. If I were the B'ette that's what I'd want to do. Just hang out, spend more time with everyone because we are not segregated until cocktail hour.

LOL and the show evolves into one big orgy. I would have said devolves, but I actually think a giant orgy might be a step up. And I agree that Spencer and Caleb have incredible chemistry together. I love Hanna and Caleb for being such a supportive, normal couple and wouldn't want to see them break up, but Hanna/Caleb have nothing on Spencer/Caleb as far as chemistry goes. What would they be, anyway, Spaleb? lol But I am content with Spencer/Caleb dynamic spy duo stuff. I think that's why I like Caleb best of all the love interests, he seems natural with any of the four Liars. I can't see Ezra just hanging with Emily because, ewe, he was her teacher and is now her boss. It's just weird. And I can't really picture Paige just chilling out with say Hanna. But when Caleb was spying with Spencer or had that nice chat with Emily, it felt natural that he would be friends with Hanna's friends without Hanna around. He is really "one of the girls" lol He and Hanna might be "boring" but I think they are refreshingly drama free. And I have always loved that they rarely have secrets from one another. Instead of being all evasive about who was calling, Hanna told him about the pageant. And although he is against it, he supported her as soon as he saw how serious she was about it. It is nice, especially on a show with so much drama, to see a normal, healthy relationship. Unlike, say, a teenager dating her teacher, or a teenager dating a married woman, or a teenager dating an insta-cop ex-con who was temporarily a creeper but then not because he has great abs but little acting ability.

I had to rewatch the dancing Hanna scene because I was distracted by how hot dancing Emily was, and I'm a straight girl, but DAMN is Shay Mitchell hot! Glad to be rid of Talia, if we really are, but what the fuck was the point of that storyline? I mean, I get the point of Johnny. He was there to make Spencer question if she really wanted to go to college, and to get her burgle on, and to force the fight between her and Toby for which I will be eternally grateful to Jonny because anything that comes between Spooby is good with me. I don't care how improbable it is, I hope Mona is alive. I love Mona. Girl is dedicated, collecting her own blood for weeks (months?) that is some serious dedication to the cause. I am shocked to learn that I like Aria. Ezra free Aria is fun to watch. I also adore Andrew. I liked him before and like him now that he's back. So odds are, he will be A, or a garden variety Rosewood Creeper. Overall I thought it was a great episode. That could just be because it marked the end of Talia (hopefully) had no Ezra, and featured Hanna and Emily dancing (and BFFing) and Spencer using her mad criminal skills and loving the hell out of it. You could tell she was just enjoying herself there. That is what she lacks with Toby, any sense of fun and enjoyment.

S19.E07: Chris Tells All / S19.E08 Week 8, Part 1
Mabinogia replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Bachelor
True that. She suffered through boring Chris slobbering all over her for weeks, she suffered through dates catching pigs, and going to a mudhole and Arlington only to be cut right before they head to Bali! I'd be devastated. Of course, the main reason I'd go on the show was for the travel, and curiosity of seeing what it's like living in the fishbowl for a bit, but mostly the travel. -
I think Whitney is his choice for wife, but Britt is his choice for one last screw before he settles down. He is infatuated with Britt. She's stunning and she is playing up the perfect girl bit, hanging on his every word, touching him all the time, having no personality outside of his wants and needs while Whitney is more mature, seems more like the settle down type, can help him out in social situations, like all the media they will be thrust into after the show ends. Carly would be little sis and Kaitlyn is "just one of the guys". The rest, IDK, who else is left? Becca and Jade, is that it? They seem like just dates, girls you go out with once or twice cause they're nice and pretty and fun but there's no connection there, they are just time killers until the right one comes along.

S01.E12: She's A Murderer
Mabinogia replied to Tara Ariano's topic in How To Get Away With Murder [V]
Yeah, it makes sense Hannah would think it was Annalise. They had a volatile marriage, Anna isn't acting the way Hannah expects a grieving widow to act and I get the feeling there is a lot of past animosity between them. But it was her shrieking "arrest her, arrest her," that was so fucking annoying it made me want Annalise to get away with it (even though she didn't do it lol oh, this twisty little show, but you know what I mean). I hate Hannah already. I want Annalise to have an antagonist that is her equal, but Hannah just isn't doing it for me. I'd actually love for Bonnie to flip sides because I think she is one of those still waters that run deep types. It would be interesting if the people Annalise is depending on, Bonnie and Frank, decided to turn against her. Without them would she be as powerful? Speaking of, I want to learn more about the relationship between Bonnie and Frank. Their interactions are often odd to me. I can't put my finger on why though. -
Yeah, the EMT asked for the bag. And how could Kelsey have never had a panic attack before? She was more freaked out about the rose ceremony than getting news of her husbands death? Sorry, she is full of it. I've had panic attacks, that was nothing like what I've ever exerienced. Granted, maybe it's a different kind of panic attack, but still, everything about it, and her, seems totally staged.

S01.E11: Best Christmas Ever
Mabinogia replied to Tara Ariano's topic in How To Get Away With Murder [V]
I forget the exact dialog, but the Frank/Bonnie scene was about Laurel being a rich girl. To me she's always come across as very privileged. Not just rich, but privileged, and quite possibly feeling guilty about it, hence her championing the less privileged. She's just got this ease of presence that someone like Michaela, who is trying to appear well off, lacks. Plus, those necklaces. She just dresses like 5th Ave. Not flashy, just really expensive. I was surprised, however, at how marginalized she is in her family. But it also makes sense. I kinda really want to see just how screwed up Bonnie's family is to have made Bonnie, because that woman is really screwed up. I actually liked how the Asher/Bonnie thing played out. It was all pretty realistic. No one was "perfect" they both screwed up a pretty screwed up situation. -
I think that is the mythical Samantha I have heard mentioned on the boards. I do wish that Chris would at least get on talking to that at the very least. Poor girl has gotten like ten seconds of airtime, and has barely spoken that I can recall. Guess she's not a virgin, or a widow, or so repulsive no man will touch her. Poor, normal girl. With no "amazing story" she doesn't stand a chance.

S01.E10: Rule #3: Don't Stand in the Doorway
Mabinogia replied to ShellSeeker's topic in Girlfriends' Guide To Divorce [V]
I'm sure Abby will have sex again in another ep. then you, and I because now I am curious, can check it out. Apparently she's a slut now so the chances are pretty good. lol I won't make it through another season. I do like Delia and the actress who plays her though. But I don't like her storyline with the affair guy. Figures.
