I blame Cleveland for the midges. Last year's WS was torture because I wanted them both to lose. However, by the ninth inning of game seven, I had come around on wanting Cleveland to be the victor. But it was just a one time thing.
  2. Cory is no Nelson but he is still hot as hell. The proportion of his face is yum. But hell yes to everything else you said.
  3. The hit was bad, but in looking at the replay, I don't know if he would be considered defenseless. There was a lot going on and he was still moving forward sandwiched between two other Bears.
  4. I like runaways when it's a contestant I have fallen in love with (see: Julia). Otherwise, yeah. I would like some mystery going into FJ.
  5. Fucking shit! Romo sounds sad that he could not participate in the Lambeau Leap. Good. You can't have nice things, Tony. These really are the best color rush. Nice and classic for both teams. The only one I like more is the Giants all-white with the classic GIANTS helmet.
  6. I was deeply distraught that while the Yankees were imploding I wanted to turn over to the game and instead saw David Carr and a bunch of empty stands. And every ten minutes they told me the players would resume the field in ten minutes.
  7. Holy cannoli that is NOT how I pictured Johnny Gilbert! He is pocket-sized! I knew Chicago 7 and Austin didn't. Neener. My county was a clue woot! I proudly live in Onondaga County NY. Which the County didn't really have anything to do with the clue but still. Atlanta in the Northeast? What the hell lady. FJ perplexed and confused me.

Plus Ronald's dugout interviews he does with Didi could not be more adorable. My last baseball boyfriend before The Judge was A-Rod.
  9. Well duh. Dead friend = best player in the history of the NFL. Kneeling = you fucking heathen you must burn and be scrubbed from our history. Seriously. Do people take one goddamned second to see how RIDICULOUS they are acting? And I am permanently living on my soapbox but fuck's sake - if *I* kneel during the anthem, it literally has no affect on *your* life. Christ.
  10. Thanks @Nashville! Stupid DVR. I waited all damn day and the stupid technology tried to thwart my favorite show.
  11. I missed the beginning because of stupid TV issues, so I apparently missed the urologist is called a sex doctor, and I'm trying to understand why, because doesn't a urologist specialize in the urinary tract and the like? Like evaluating your prostrate? I'm confused.
  12. Update - both restaurants in northern New York were taken aback at the negative reaction they received on social media and are reconsidering their decision to stop showing NFL games. What a shock. One of the owners said he didn't have a problem with kneeling or locking arms, he was upset with the Steelers in particular. Also, the sign they posted on the restaurant door that was since taken down said they were mad at the "Pittsburg Stealers."
  13. They had tribe names on their buffs. One was Yawa or somesuch.
  14. Oh the Cowboys? Never mind then. Alan can go at any time. Is there a good way?
  15. Thank you. I'm ok with the Bears. He's still batshit, though.
  16. Who is Alan? I need to know which NFL team he played for before I know if I can root for him. Oh wait, never mind. He is cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs. I want proof that Andy Dalton spent the summer at the Cincinnati Bengals training camp because you cannot tell me that Patrick, the red-headed fellow in the pink shirt, is not him. Didn't we already have a David? We don't really need another one so Ryan is superfluous. Joe holy fuck. You are a jerk. Ali is so pretty. "Ryan and I have the same mind set and same ideals..." namely, saving my pretty ass. A financial analyst is a hero. Mmkay.
  17. We did not watch last night and the second the camera showed Austin for the first time tonight my husband says "look at this guy! I hate him." And this was before Austin did whatever the hell that weird little finger gesture was. And yet...somehow Pasha is WORSE. Be quiet!
  18. I'm still devastated that Kevin threw out the cake.
  19. I didn't see last night but seeing that Dennis was a one and done (and I think Ivan was too?) now I'm curious how many days in a row is the record for one and dones.
  20. Cancelling Directv, throwing out season tickets and burning jerseys because of ANTHEM PROTESTS and yet supporting teams with domestic abusers, murderers/accidental killers and drug abusers is the DUMBEST FUCKING THING I HAVE EVER HEARD.
  21. The actress who plays young Missy is leaps and bounds more enjoyable than the actress who plays grown up Missy with her come-and-go accent. Also older Missy appears to have much more affection for "Shelly" than snarky younger Missy. Which actually is true to life, even if the writers who wrote older Missy did so with no knowledge there would ever be a younger one.
  22. Rick Pitino is the most unaware person on the planet. Someone should check on him to see what he does all day, because he obviously doesn't pay any attention to what his program is doing. If you believe him, heh.
  23. I get that Nelson shoved Derrick, but Jemmye is the one who hit him in the face, yeah? I'm not crazy that that was her arm? Nelson damn you. Hunter going in on Kailah at the bar made him look like a petty asshole. Britni is also an asshole because she just is.
  24. I told my 19 year old son while we were watching that The Wonder Years pilot is the greatest pilot in the history of television. While I like this show, and still love BBT proper, this is not The Wonder Years to me. I was a sophomore in 1989...and seven years older than Sheldon, heh. I felt for young George because it had to suck, just like he said. All the attention went to Sheldon. I'm having a hard time reconciling this George Sr. with canon George Sr. so I'm going to have to suspend disbelief on this one. Doesn't Jim Parsons have brown eyes?
  25. Nessa is not one of my favorites they get to host these things but I thought she did well enough. And my heart seriously broke when she said people talked to her at Berkeley like "how did YOU get here?" The two guests were marvelous. It was completely surreal that I got around to watching it yesterday considering what happened this weekend.
