  1. We did not watch last night and the second the camera showed Austin for the first time tonight my husband says "look at this guy! I hate him." And this was before Austin did whatever the hell that weird little finger gesture was. And yet...somehow Pasha is WORSE. Be quiet!
  2. I'm still devastated that Kevin threw out the cake.
  3. I didn't see last night but seeing that Dennis was a one and done (and I think Ivan was too?) now I'm curious how many days in a row is the record for one and dones.
  4. Cancelling Directv, throwing out season tickets and burning jerseys because of ANTHEM PROTESTS and yet supporting teams with domestic abusers, murderers/accidental killers and drug abusers is the DUMBEST FUCKING THING I HAVE EVER HEARD.
  5. The actress who plays young Missy is leaps and bounds more enjoyable than the actress who plays grown up Missy with her come-and-go accent. Also older Missy appears to have much more affection for "Shelly" than snarky younger Missy. Which actually is true to life, even if the writers who wrote older Missy did so with no knowledge there would ever be a younger one.
  6. Rick Pitino is the most unaware person on the planet. Someone should check on him to see what he does all day, because he obviously doesn't pay any attention to what his program is doing. If you believe him, heh.
  7. I get that Nelson shoved Derrick, but Jemmye is the one who hit him in the face, yeah? I'm not crazy that that was her arm? Nelson damn you. Hunter going in on Kailah at the bar made him look like a petty asshole. Britni is also an asshole because she just is.
  8. I told my 19 year old son while we were watching that The Wonder Years pilot is the greatest pilot in the history of television. While I like this show, and still love BBT proper, this is not The Wonder Years to me. I was a sophomore in 1989...and seven years older than Sheldon, heh. I felt for young George because it had to suck, just like he said. All the attention went to Sheldon. I'm having a hard time reconciling this George Sr. with canon George Sr. so I'm going to have to suspend disbelief on this one. Doesn't Jim Parsons have brown eyes?
  9. Nessa is not one of my favorites they get to host these things but I thought she did well enough. And my heart seriously broke when she said people talked to her at Berkeley like "how did YOU get here?" The two guests were marvelous. It was completely surreal that I got around to watching it yesterday considering what happened this weekend.
  10. It's irritating that Dak Prescott is so damn good-looking.
  11. I hated the lighting and camera work during Mia's piece because I could barely see what anyone was doing. That Lex/Travis piece was intense. Not like Lex needed it, since he won anyways, but that piece showed more personality than anything he did with Gaby. Maybe he just didn't like Gaby, heh. Lex and Koine had more chemistry in their pairing than Lex and Taylor, but if I am to believe Friends, that is a good thing.
  12. I figured Lex was going to win but just before Cat read the results I had two seconds of hope that Koine would pull out the upset. But if she couldn't win the final order was perfect. "L-O-V-E" is my third favorite routine ever behind "The Garden" and "Rama-Lama" when Wade was in it in a finale.
  13. She said that she is a huge Fed fan and she's seen him in tournaments and goes to the US Open and he should really recognize her in the crowd now. The way she said it was charming.
  14. Dewey is ok but Carson is not. Shut up, show. I was already concerned that we were going to leave NFL until last and when no one got backstop AND no one knew Dallas or Pittsburgh I could see why. Also Colorado Rockies. Bless her. I felt so badly for her at the end because she appeared to be trying so hard. Argh! If The Headless Horseman was not the answer why did no one guess Ichabod Crane? Also Anupama's story about Roger Federer had a cute punchline and I can totally relate. What a silly FJ wager! I would have luckily totally bet zero because I had no clue. I could honestly say I have never heard the name Coleridge in my life.

Ahh you said a nice thing about a Yankee! Aaron Judge is MAGIC. (I'm going to ignore the man behind the curtain saying "it's not because of Judge it's because of McGwire's shady past...") I swear I feel like Renee Zellweger in "Jerry Maguire" - "I love him, Laurel. I...love him!" Every time 99 is at bat I stop what I'm going to watch. #49 nearly went into the Judge's Chambers which amused me. I don't know what Joe is doing with the rotation, I just hope Sevy is going to pitch the play-in game.
  16. Before Colin very quietly took a knee in protest that no one noticed for two weeks I would love to go back through archival footage and see what players were doing during the anthem. Both before and after 9/11.
  17. Two restaurants in rural northern New York have declared that they will no longer show the NFL because of the protests. Ok, so I don't mean to sound like a harpy but what the everloving fuck. Louis Riddick said it best this morning - why are we focusing on the protest and not the REASON for the protest? It makes me sick. I've never been to those two restaurants and I won't start now. There was a great picture posted...somewhere...that the headline said something about respecting the anthem while these two chicks in Patriots shirts were shouting with the ugliest looks on their faces. Yeah. Way to respect the anthem, harridans.

25 is absolutely not too young for a 43 year old so Aaron Judge is my baseball BF and my hubby doesn't care. I love this whole team top to bottom please don't disappoint me. Perhaps Tanaka should be moved to the 'pen?
  19. I am absolutely not loving Tony Romo as an announcer because he's Tony Romo. Fuck him. Also fuck the Eagles. Argh!!
  20. So Sam Ponder is really the permanent host of Countdown. Huh. Send the teams all the fuck way over to London and then not even put the game on TV. So what is the point of even going there? But I have to say even seeing reports of the Ravens getting a beatdown soothes my soul.
  21. I love football all day! I'll have a brief break when I go to my parents house for my sister's 50th but I can usually take over the remote since I'm the baby of the family. Maybe we'll get another tie. That would be stupendous.
  22. I don't think I have ever been more furious than when I was reading about the fucking "rally" held last night in Alabama. Someone should tell that asshole to stick to politics, because he obviously doesn't know anything about them because the players protesting injustice is a fundamental RIGHT of this damn country. Tomorrow's games should be interesting.
  23. I like the Niners color rush but the helmets looks ridiculous because there is no gold in the uni. Someone on Twitter was amusing because they put up a pic of LA and a pic of Wolverine with the caption "who wore it better?"
  24. I've never watched House of Cards either but I faithfully read Entertainment Weekly so that one was pretty easy. I didn't even understand the wording of FJ but knew it immediately. It's hard for me to understand how people didn't get it but I guess if you don't like that type of movie? Because I actually don't read comics but I watch Comic Book Men and have seen a few X-Men movies so I absolutely know who Wolverine is.

I was watching the Yankee game yesterday and even remarked that Todd Frazier's foul ball went screaming off his bat pretty damn fast. Watching all of the player's reactions was tough. I've only been to one game so I can't really comment, but would extended nets ruin the entire game experience?
