  1. This episode was wild. Glad I watched after the credits. Angela may have inadvertently started things, but didn't Judd have the Klan hood in his closet regardless? Liked seeing Cal go full Manhattan. It was confusing from the perspectives, but they made it work. And nice full frontal, back and everything else. 😉 So the Warden is Adam. I wonder who Eve is.
  2. I know about the curbside pickup, but it doesn't change the traffic and crowds you deal with on the way there. And doing several drives to the same store is overkill.
  3. Solid trailer. Movies/trailers based in the 80s tend to look stupid because they overemphasize the gaudiness of it, but this looked more...natural, I guess? Nice use of Blue Monday. I'm wondering if Steve is a ghost or a figment of Diana's imagination.
  4. The Peloton ad was stupid and poorly thought it, but I didn't get the uproar, and I've seen it several times. It just felt like something that social media ran with, and definitely not worth the Aviation redemption ad. They could have just let it die. Then again, Ryan Reynolds sucks, so basically anything he does annoys me. IMO, the GMC commercial wins the honor for the worst holiday commercial this season. It's one thing to buy a new truck, but two? Even for the holidays, it felt like an embarrassing extravagance, and the cutesy wife "I want this one!" running to the truck the husband was obviously eyeing, haha! Keep that trash commercial and those shitty trucks. The Walmart ad sucks because Walmart is always a zoo so I just felt sorry for the husband. The traffic, the crowds...and you deal with that before you even walk in the store. Then doing that several times? Forget that, I don't care if someone's off gluten/carbs/whatever, unless it's an allergy, they can eat elsewhere. I'm only making one trip!
  5. So Cal is Dr. Manhattan. Did not see that coming. Seeing the bluish tint at the end made it more real. If Jane has been working with Keene all this time, that doesn't bode well for Judd's legacy. Either he was involved or he was an idiot who didn't realize what his wife was up to. Saw a clever tidbit on Reddit; Blake's Dr. Manhattan-style dildo was called the Excalibur. Now we know that her ex is named Cal Abar. Veidt's scenes are amusing, but I can't get into them too much because they're so removed from everything else. Just saw Faithe Herman in Shazam, now she's playing the younger Angela. Nice to see her getting more work.
  6. That was an excellent episode. A lot to take in. Crawford said he got the Klan suit from his grandfather. I take it they haven't revealed who that was? I thought it would be one of the cops who was killed in the warehouse fire. The mesmerizing technology was a horrifying concept. I felt for that poor woman in the theater. What a nightmare to experience.
  7. Maggie’s plan was to take Ben home without running into anyone else, since he was supposed to be quarantined (measles). But when they arrived at his place, there were plenty of people outside, including kids and elderly people, who are particularly susceptible to measles. Ben told Maggie it was ok, because they both knew he couldn’t go any further and risk infecting anyone, so back to the hospital they went. I hope you feel better soon!
  8. Knowing about Natalie’s impaired memory made Maggie’s decision even worse. If word got out, other staff (especially Connor) could think that Natalie really did place that order in to release the patient. I follow the girl who played Aviva (Jasmine Luv) on IG, and she’s a pretty talented comedian. Shame that this role didn’t play to her strengths.
  9. It feels like they completely switched gears. Helen was in a happy relationship last season and was thinking about children. Now all that is a thing of the past apparently, and she's just focused on trying to keep her job and her ethics with that awful Castro around. It's the same with Max. Last season, his cancer diagnosis was all that was happening, but now, it's like he wasn't even sick. It's all about grieving Georgia and his impending fatherhood. Of course, it's entirely possible to have more than one serious thing going on in your life, but not on this show. I was also wondering why they didn't just pull the blinds on Gabi and give her some privacy. I don't care how empathetic Iggy is, his husband has every right to be upset. You can't just adopt a child (or at least go through the process) without informing your spouse.
  10. Delilah can kick rocks. That whole speech just had me pissed. I was just hoping Katherine would fire back that Delilah was keeping the secret as much for herself as she was for her kids. And Katherine was right (about damn near everything) in that Eddie and Delilah made that decision between the two of them that affected everyone. Uh-uh. Katherine has a say, and I was glad that she's done trying to make nice with Delilah's simpering ass. Whether she goes petty or not, I'm hoping the gloves are off. I'm rooting for Katherine. I was glad that Eddie took her side, though. I really didn't care about his "I'm being the best me I can be" stuff, but I was good with the rest. That part of the speech felt too afterschool-special. Has Colin ever walked away from Gary before? How convenient that he responds to his old name! Like most things in this show, it was contrived, but they shouldn't have shown it if they weren't going to go through with it. If Colin/Wesley had a good life with his former owner, then that's where he belongs. But no, that's not the fluffy ending they wanted. Something tells me that dog won't be wandering away from Gary anymore, or respond to his old name of Wesley. They should have just ended it on Gary at the apartment, Maggie returns Wesley, and goes back to comfort Gary. That would have been a better ending than that hacky mess they showed.
  11. Right?!? What if that wasn’t even her father’s voicemail? Reynolds couldn’t have shortened that at all? You could tell Max was ready to tear Hartman a new one, until he learned that Hartman would have testified against Tollman. I do feel bad for Bloom. It’s a lousy problem, and I wonder what people do when that actually does happen.
  12. I don’t agree with her actions at all, but I understood that she was desperate enough to do something like that. I found the aftermath of what happened more implausible than the crash itself.
  13. Same. On one hand, what Kaye did was understandable (although incredibly stupid), and I can see why she was frustrated. Some of those problems were preventable, but not if you can't access decent health care to start. But yeah, this was a real stretch, even by NA standards. No way would that measly insurance policy cover everything, especially if some of those issues were there before the crash, which most of them were. And what if Kaye had hurt someone else unrelated to the women in the van, like a pedestrian? Did they say how she crashed? Did she direct the van just the right way so there was no risk of fatalities? With that many people in the van? Come on. I think they were going for sad for that last scene, but it was just macabre. Who leaves that under a rug?
  14. The fake house hunting thing was so pointless. I understand Katherine and Eddie wanting to have some fun, but the problem with escapism is that you have to go back to reality. Some goofy made up story and a quickie isn't going to undo Eddie's infidelity. That cheesy "family photo" probably didn't help. Moving to Austin isn't a bad idea, or an unreasonable request at all. If Katherine is willing to work on their marriage, then it shouldn't be an issue for them to move and start fresh. But she also realizes that Eddie won't move and risk being further away from Charlie. Katherine just doesn't win here. I liked Delilah's photographer more than Delilah. I really thought he was going to cancel his plans so he could do their photos somehow, and I'm glad I was wrong. Enjoy Cozumel! Maggie is very annoying. I really don't care about her issues, or who she ends up with. It is funny how she keeps ending up crying into Eric's arms.
  15. IA with all this. The setup did seem random. And what happened to David really sucks. He was always a tragic figure, and him dying the way he did felt like an insult. It's even sadder knowing that Joseph has lost both of his parents now. The ending felt like a set-up for a reboot, although Shyamalan said he didn't want to do a cinematic universe type of thing. But it wouldn't surprise me if that was the plan. Reboots/sequels/franchises are in right now, and if this movie had been a great success, this could have led to more superheroes. Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Sarah's not a bad actress, but she doesn't stand out to me, either.
  16. Wow, that was really good. I knew Judd was a goner when he left his house. There was a lot to take in here. The squids falling from the sky, Judd being a cocaine user, all the cops/authority figures wearing masks, Jeremy Irons and his weird servants...it's a lot. But it was engrossing. So Louis Gossett Jr. is the boy from the opening scene. I wonder who the baby is. I think it was a girl? Regina King is owning this. She's excellent.
  17. I was with Maggie until the scene at the airport. Yes, she stormed off like a baby, but her mother was 100% wrong to ambush her with Eric like that. She should have just sat Maggie down and told her privately, instead of bringing Eric to brunch like everything was A-OK. But the airport? Overkill. The whole scene felt engineered just to have Maggie fling herself into Eric's arms, and of course Gary sees it all. Good Lord. Isn't Maggie supposed to be a therapist? Does she have no awareness of why her mother is behaving the way she is? IA that Katherine is the only one who comes off well here. That ukelele scene with Theo was painful. No matter what happens, there's a permanent reminder of Eddie's infidelity forever. And she managed to get Delilah to keep her house, which says a lot about Katherine's character. Delilah's simpering whiny self should feel two feet tall. The "family meal" concept wouldn't work for me, but if it's a one time a week thing, I can see some customers liking it.
  18. IA, way too vague. I wasn’t sure if what he did was meant to be impressive because he put his own job in jeopardy, or shady because he took the credit for April’s idea.
  19. Maggie looks ready to collapse most of the time and she’s barely speaking above a whisper. Forget the nurse trainee, her own coworkers don’t notice any of this? Phillip casually toting his kids around that hospital is disturbing as hell.
  20. Say what now? Helen was right to turn Max down. He's OK bending the rules and pissing off whoever if it means helping the patient, so he can't balk if Helen does the same. It wasn't Helen's career he was worried about, anyway. So was I. The guy with the faulty hip didn't look too pleased at the betrayal, but he also didn't know about the text Max had just sent. It was really confusing. But Max is really dirty if he lied to Helen. I knew Rohan wasn't shit. Honestly, forgot that he and whatshername were still dating.
  21. I get that they were being ambiguous about the end, but that didn’t make the whole thing any less creepy. The woman being tracked down, the fake out with her getting “beaten up” at her apartment, then it turns out she’s a scammer...it just left a bad taste in my mouth.
  22. Even if it was $1000, the whole plan with tracking down Katrina was skeevy. The whole plot felt ham-fisted. And Katrina still could’ve been duping Allen in the end. I also got tired of the constant flashbacks. Especially since they were all happening in the same day. I was surprised that Feeney ended up dead. Figured he would have more sinister plans for Gray.
  23. Well said. Reynolds got swayed by newbie’s suture skills and confidence and he made a bad decision because of it. That's really why Reynolds lied to Bloom; he knew he was just as culpable as the intern. Lol at everyone still hating Bloom. It would have been fine if she hadn’t returned, but I do think she was more tolerable this week. Being sober, maybe?
  24. Seriously. That and the inmate plot were so obvious. What would have made it interesting was to find out exactly what Bajan had done to get sent to Rikers. I wonder if something truly horrible would force Iggy to re-think what he was offering, but that wouldn't have fit in with the feel good moment. At least Sharpe's patients know that she genuinely cares about them. Not surprised that Castro didn't want to deliver the bad news. Aww, JJ Feild. He can stay as the PT. And Bloom wasn't awful this week.
  25. Well, damn. That's one way to get rid of a character. Didn't think Ava would go out like that. Figured she would just leave Chicago Med to get away from Colin and his accusations. April and Choi are so boring.
