I actually thought it was pretty if the antlers had been eliminated -- certainly not my taste, but pretty with the leaves and bark. I recoil from antlers unless they are on a living deer or elk or reindeer.

I see that some people don't enjoy authors coming on because they are "shilling" their books. Regardless of the person, that is usually my favorite sort of interview. I enjoy hearing an author speak about a book.

Clinton isn't running for anything. Generally, when former Presidents or candidates have written memoirs, they are interviewed in a friendly, not combative manner. Why should Clinton be treated differently?

I seriously would never watch a talk show on which every member of the regular panel was irrational. It would be like the Mad Hatter's tea party. I don't find that to be the case, but if it were, I wouldn't watch. Nor do find them delusional. Huckabee's comments sounded both whiny and dismissive. I do not believe -- had he had the same discussion with four men -- he would have used those words nor that dismissive manner. I think Joy misused the analysis by Politifact, and I agree she shouldn't have. Politifact was referring only to his public statements given (by Trump) as fact. It didn't apply to his private life, for example. I've never heard the woman say they hated Trump. They've argued against him. They've refused to name him. Most of all they've made fun of him. I challenge anyone to find a quote by one of the women using the words "hate" directed at Trump. Yes, they are full of themselves.

I would love to see just that. I am curious too. Surely there are articulate informed folks who can speak to that. I don't see that sort of thing much anywhere. MJ would do very well taking a topic that is a bit off-center from what everyone and his uncle-talking-head are discussing. In their dreams.

I agree about the Duggar clan and some others. Still in my experience conservative Evangelicals can be as kind as anyone else. They are hung up on sexuality and they are more tribal that most, but they do often have empathy for those who suffer including the poor, in many cases including people of other races. I'm a pretty outspokenly liberal Christian (with an MDiv) but I'm white and straight and Christian. I've never felt any lack of kindness toward me or mine. So, I'm not willing to go so far as to say they do not have empathy and kindness.

It makes me sad now to remember her flight to Nepal and how cute they were.

Me too, Teddy's mom. Also in Indianapolis. People talk about the Russia story. People keep up here no differently than in NYC. All the news is available here at virtually the same instant and with virtually equal ease as in NYC and DC. Please.

Speculation for Season Two of Feud: NOT Charles and Diana
mbutterfly replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Feud [V]
I believe it can be done well if the focus is upon the difficult situations of both Diana and Charles. Both seemed to be very good parents. Charles was with his boys also before Diana died though he had his royal responsibility and his naturalist stuff. I would like to see the show be sympathetic to both while still showing the bad or awkward decisions that often drove them into deeper trouble. -
I hope this isn't too far o/t, but Wikipedia doesn't mention that fact that shortly after her death, Sheldon did return to teach briefly at Wabash College. My husband was one of his students. As a result he and I -- a young couple when the book came out -- read the book together. We did however -- being of a very different nature -- already have four young children. I feel a little awkward about making fun of Jer and Aug (though I like to) because I was emotionally pulled into the book as well.

But it must be more complicated because no one celebrated a birthday before he/she was born. Ergo we must figure this on individual bases. We definitely need a spread sheet.

Perhaps they are required to watch the Three Stooges to get their plot lines and for acting cues.

The five-minute limit really caused problems for clarity. I noticed during Watergate it was 15 minutes. Nobody should stoop to Trump's level (and stupid directions) of insults.

I don't know why they found it sexist. But I know I found it sexist because it was. Never once has a male member of Congress been treated that way in these hearings.

I'm glad she's making a big enough impact to cause a stir. She's amazing. I hope she is well soon. -

I was married in 1962 and my father, a doctor, suggested I take the pill. I didn't because I wanted to have a baby right away. And sure enough I did.

I didn't understand that either.
