I'm rooting for Jazz all the way. Why haven't they shown her how to do her own laundry before going to college, though? That's like Tasks-For-Teens 101. And Harvard's not the be-all and end-all. (It's stuck us with some pretty unethical and horrible politicians.) I'm thinking Jeanette may have at least a touch of OCD, after her reaction with the clothes dye on the kitchen counter and her inability to loosen the reins on Jazz. It may be she's lived on "high alert" for so long, it's hard to turn her internal alarm off.

In fairness, I don't think digital marketing itself is lame. All kinds of businesses need it. And not everyone can be a lawyer. We have too many lawyers already - that's why our society is so litigious. 🙂 (I should add, though, that recent years have made me far more appreciative of law.) The coolest, most important and essential profession is probably nursing. And I'm not just saying that because there are nurses in my family. 🙂 (I'm not one - don't have the science smarts for it.)

Digital marketing, I think. I could also see him doing documentaries when he matures. But he really needs to chill out about his family; he's projecting his insecurity onto them.

I loved Greg's talk with Jeanette. Wise fella.

Wow, how exciting was the ziplining. (I'm being sarcastic.) When your show starts featuring weekly activities that have nothing to do with the show, it's time to call it a day. Same thing happened on Outdaughtered when the quints got older. The only people who were interesting no matter what they were doing were the Beatles. Sander needs to learn that just because you do something performative, people (including family) don't have to pay attention to you doing your job all the time. Plumbers, lawyers, mailmen, engineers -- no one expects their family to come watch what they do all the time.

Loren & Alexei: After the 90 Days
JeanJean replied to Drogo's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: Other Spinoffs & Specials
My guess is that their popularity on Pillow Talk is why TLC gave them their own show. David and Annie, too. -
Darcey and Stacey Live Chat Season 3
JeanJean replied to Frozendiva's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: Other Spinoffs & Specials
What did Georgi actually ever do? I can't think of anything. It seems like it's always been Darcey and Stacey accusing him of things that turn out not to be true. He didn't lie about his divorce, he didn't cheat on Darcey - what did he do that they're always ragging on him? -
Loren & Alexei: After the 90 Days
JeanJean replied to Drogo's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: Other Spinoffs & Specials
I'm annoyed with Loren's dad, too (although I wonder if this is just set-up drama because her parents didn't seem so pissy before). When Alex said in the preview that Loren's folks would be mad if they moved, I thought good - then they will see how it is when the table is turned. -

Sorry, I keep hitting "quotes" instead of "edit." -

Aspen seems really lovely and grounded. I started to worry about Aniko when she wanted to go into pageants. -

I'm okay with cosmetic surgery (had a nose job myself), cosmetic dentistry (I have some crowns but I hate them and wouldn't have gotten them but I medically (dentally?) needed them, all that stuff BUT when Stacey's ragging on Georgi about lying I really wanted to say, "Hey! You're boobs are fake, your teeth are fake, your hair is fake, your father bankrolls you, shut up." It keeps hitting me how they look at least a decade older than they would without all that work. -

Thanks for posting those! I read them. Wow. I would guess she doesn't do a lot of repeat business. -

That's the "secret" that would and should make him reject her. -

Me, either. A 52-year-old guy who starts out with admiring himself lengthily in the mirror and checking his body fat index doesn't do it for me. I get he's a model, but if he'd just perfunctorily checked himself to see if he's okay to work, that would be different. He was a little too self-admiring for a man his age. "He feels pretty, oh so pretty..." On the other hand, he's probably stunted at an early emotional age from being in a cult, so maybe it's like puberty for him. His kids need the attention he gives his looks. (Why doesn't it ever occur to religious fanatics that if their God thought bodies were sinful he could have just made them out of air or marshmallows or something?) -
This was before the vaccine, but other than that - yes. Next week, karma!! So here for that.

In the preview, Kody's "Blair Witch" - style talk to the camera cracked me up. I wish he had done it in the dark with a flashlight.

I've been surprised and disappointed at Christine's attitude, because I usually really like her. Going to a masseuse the first year of Covid? No, girl.

Kody is a douche in so many ways, but right now it's for choosing his Covid fear over hugging his SON, who to me looked like he was begging for a hug. F Kody and his "patriarchy." If there's going to be a patriarch, I vote for Gabe.

S05.E06: Burns And Betrayals
JeanJean replied to greekmom's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days
I would have been okay with Memphis being upset about the age thing if they hadn't disrespected his mom's wishes last week. That made it seem very hypocritical. I get it's not a big number of years he cut off, but if she wants an honest partner, that's within her rights to ask. -
S47.E10: Ariana DeBose / Bleachers
JeanJean replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Saturday Night Live
"Urkel" was great. I wonder why they didn't have Cecily sing with Ariana; Cecily has a real Broadway voice. As a NYer, I loved the Eric Adams sketch. I, too, hope they use Ariana more in the second half. She's hilarious and wonderful. I like the band okay, first song more. Is it just me or do they seem to be super-influenced by Springsteen? -

I read online that Jasmine was abused in her marriage and it was really apparent tonight how broken she is. She was crying like a little girl, not a manipulative woman, I think. I also read she's in therapy so hopefully she will work it out. Meanwhile, I also hope she has stopped calling other women "bitches." I'm starting to think she's very fragile and TLC shouldn't have put her on TV. I feel like I'm watching something very private. She does have my permission, though, to call Kimberly the B word after the way Kim tried to ride roughshod all over everyone. It she thinks this will endear her to Usman, it will likely do the opposite - because who will ever want to work with him and deal with her? -
Which seems to me really inappropriate to do to someone who lost her beloved just a year ago - unless she says she wants to. I realize in viewer time it's only been a week or two that they've been friends while in show time it's been a year, but still, it was jarring. I hope at some point Carrie reads from her book. whups

I like Carrie again more each week, but I have to say: Her not telling Miranda that Che would be at the school event is up there with not calling 911 for Big. I don't know if Charlotte coming off as such a harpy all the time is partly from her lips being permanently pursed from whatever she had done to her face, especially in the mouth area. But Charlotte used to be much more likeable. Her face now has a permanently disapproving expression. So even if Charlotte isn't really being pissy, it comes off as she is.

I'm fine with Carrie being back in her old apartment. Her apartment with Big felt more Big to me than Carrie, or at least it felt like the Carrie she was with him. She somewhat became a robotic-rich person to me during the movies, and I find her more recognizable now. When she was walking with Miranda in this episode and she giggled, I thought, "I remember her!" (Which is what she said at the plastic surgeon's). And she certainly has the money to store things. It could also be a neighborhood thing. NYC neighborhoods all have their own character. I would go back to my old apartment in my old NYC neighborhood in a heartbeat.
