I think, though, we've now reached the point where they can't be portrayed as just benign buffoons. "Springtime for Hitler" worked great in "The Producers," but not while it's Germany 1939 again. Make them irrational and evil and the butt of jokes, just not benign. I believe there are sketches that could be written to do it. Weekend Update does it.

They're not even safe IN the hospital! (shootings, electrocutions...) Or in the nearby bodega. They should all stay home all the time.

I think I like this group of interns the best, gasp! maybe even more than the originals, because they're not overdramatic. (I know, that's weird, it IS a drama, after all, and I was riveted in the early years and for a very long time.) Maybe it's because I can't imagine any of this crew seeing a ghost. 😄 That said, it really does feel like the show is petering out... Maybe it's that it's so crazy out here that I don't need DRAMA on my TV.

They do them way too benignly. At this point, it just makes me feel bad. I remember when Phil Hartman played Reagan as truly evil. They need that kind of bite, and more.

I can' believe they through Langton under the bus. Makes me wonder if I want to continue my subscription since all I watch is Pitt and Maher. I still hate Santos.

If I remember correctly (which is a crap shoot), he was supposed to be in the cast a few years ago but was let go because of---maybe---certain statements/jokes he'd made on radio or podcasts. This episode was okay, nothing bad but nothing outstanding. I liked Dad's House and the WANU News sketch, which I think is recurring. Didn't like the songs. Here's why I'm an old fuddy-duddy, I guess. During the first song I remembered how Linda Ronstadt would just stand there (looking gorgeous) and sing and it would blow you away. I'm all for songs about sex if they're good but these were meh to me.

I so appreciate Quinta B's willingness to make her costars the focus of episodes. I really wanted Abbott to get the SAG Award for best ensemble and for her to get Best Actress in a comedy.
