Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
ChiCricket replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
https://www.4029tv.com/article/josh-duggar-in-court-for-hearing/37761044 She's definitely "big pregnant" here and still walking around, so not on bed rest. Ps apologies if this has been shared already, I'm jumping around the boards.π (screenshot from the video) -

My husband and I both got a Pfizer booster shot yesterday (and the flu shot.) We had gone in only for the flu shot. Then my husband suddenly asked "when can we get the covid booster shot?" They said today, if you want. So we did. We both had our 2nd Pfizer shot in the middle of March, so that's been six months. I don't think it's been officially approved yet, but with my husband five years older than me, and me with COPD, we jumped at the chance. Would you, if it was offered? Ps..only side effect (so far) from the booster is a VERY sore arm for both of us (we each got flu shot in the opposite arm from the Covid one.)

Btw, there are a lot of us. Our 150th family reunion was so large, we made it into The Guinness Book of World records :)

Ooo ooo! This is something I know something about...because I'm directly descended from the Busse family! (Chicagoland people may have heard of Busse Woods and Busse Hwy, maybe?) (I found all the following on the web, btw) "Elk were once found throughout the state but were gone from Illinois by the early 1800s. Today, they are held in captivity by landowners, and some occasionally escape. There are no wild populations of elk in Illinois. Cook County Commissioner William Busse brought an elk herd of nine cows and one bull from Yellowstone National Park to Elk Grove Township in 1925. The elk were put in a 20-acre pen in what is now Grove 4 of Busse Woods where they remained until that pen was moved to its current location in 1972. The size of the herd has fluctuated from as large as 80 elk to as small as two. Elk are the symbol for both Elk Grove Village and Elk Grove Township. Before white settlers came to the area, it was known as βWapiti,β the Miami Indian tribe word for elk." Ps my whole family was at the 150th Busse family reunion in 1998. https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-xpm-1998-06-26-9806260132-story.html TMI? π π

She was one of my favorites! I loved her stories of left-brain (her husband)π

Thank you both SO much! Now I have to go back and try to remember who the stinkers are so I can add them to my list. (I was trying to click on their little profile pics.) π

Can someone please explain to me like I'm stupid how you mute or block another person on this site? I can't seem to figure it out. I'm reading a forum for a completely different show, and there's a couple of posters on there that make me want to scream.π I don't even see a help section on Primetimer...I'm sure it's RIGHT THERE..but I sure as heck don't see it! Please help an old lady out!π

I had no say in my son playing (unless I would have divorced my husband way back then.) I agree...way too violent! Why couldn't she do soccer or tennis or something?! She used to do competitive gymnastics, for years and years, which also gave me agita. But then she hurt/tore something in her knee/leg, and that ended that, thank goodness. if I didn't know about the long term injuries to the brain back when my son played (only for one season) I sure know it now. (And you can't tell me her physican father doesn't know eitherπ’.) But he's obsessed with football, and is all for it. I don't understand how he can compartmentalize his medical knowledge from his concern for his daughter.π± I can only secretly agonize from afar...not my circus not my monkey, you know.π That's not to say I didn't give her mom (my daughter) an earful about my concerns..but I asked her not to tell A I said anything...because she was determined to do it anyway. Am I a bad grandma to hope she hurt her shoulder just enough to keep her benched? π€ (results of MRI tomorrow) SSB (sorry so blabby π)

Most of my granddaughter's football team (high school) is in quarantine as of today. This was only their second day of school. (Did I mention she's the only girl who tried out and and made the team?) But she's vaccinated, so she and a couple of others who are also vaxxed don't have to quarantine, I guess? (my daughter wasn't too clear , she was getting dinner ready when I called, and was distracted.) Btw, I was not happy when my son played football back in the day, and I'm not happy now that my granddaughter is playing it. (I think it's too violent.) But I know many people love it. My son never knew I hated it, (I went to all his games)'and my granddaughter won't either. But...guess who dislocated her shoulder playing football during their practice a couple of days ago? π Yep. my granddaughter. (my daughter only told me today) She has an MRI scheduled tomorrow morning at 6am. I thought I'd share a post my daughter made a couple of weeks ago about her....after seeing this, how could I pee on their parade? π Ps. Happy belated birthday @Westiepeach !

Come right over and get them...π No way! I quit doing the 4 letter C word (cook) after my five kids all left home (my last two, my sons, left in July 1998 to join the Marines together.) Since I got married at 17 (and had my first daughter 7ΒΎ short months laterπ) that was almost 30 years of figuring out what to cook for 7 people 3 X a day... Also, I've never canned anything in my life, I'd probably give us both food poisoning.ππ€£ PS my two kids who live in Bensenville (Illinois) just just told me they heard a tornado siren there. (There is one town between us and them)

I'm so happy for you!

Good news Sunday...this is one day's pickings. Btw, my tomato growing "expertise" is: 1. Ask for tomato plants for a combined mother's day/ birthday gift (a week apart.) 2. Also say, but you have to plant them as part of my gift. 3. Then I totally ignore them..if they grow they grow, if they don't ,they don't. 4. Which I can do because my husband watches them zealously, and picks them every day, right before "the squirrels were going to steal them." (He cracks me up, every day he says "I picked more of "your" tomatoes before the squirrels could get them! The squirrels were waiting on the fence waiting to get them, but I woke up early to beat them!" (he swears he knows what time they all wake up.)π My family said I need to offer some to the neighbors, because they still haven't eaten all the tomatoes I gave them. I saw my next door neighbor out today, and said "Shirley, do you want some tomatoes from my garden?" She said "I was going to try to get you to take some of mine!"π Do you think a food bank would take some? Or nah..because they're home grown?π€

I just don't know how some people's minds work..I really don't. When I told our family group that he had died, my daughter wrote this: "I'm so sorry to hear that. This darn Covid seems like it's never ending sometimes. A friend of R's and mine from Florida lives with her children and parents. She (our friend) recently got Covid and then her children and father got it too. He died 3 nights ago. Nobody was vaccinated. " I also just found out that out of my sister A's seven grown kids, only 2 have gotten vaxxed. Two of her unvaxxed kids live in Florida, (with 4 kids among them) My niece "N" told my sister that "I'm too young to get Covid!" (She's 47.) One lives in Wisconsin and has five kids (one of them who had to have a liver transplant a couple of years ago.) But she thinks all the vaccines have aborted fetal tissue. The other two live here in Illinois. I don't know what their deal is. I am so angry with all the lies they were fed, and swallowed whole. Sorry for the rant, I'm just SO over selfish people...I don't think I can look at them the same way ever again.

Good news to hear of all the new grandbabies coming. Grands are life's best rewards. π But now to my sad news. My husband just woke me up and said his brother just called him to tell him that their 1st cousin Aureli just died of Covid this morning. I knew him well, because he had stayed with us when he was working in Chicago. I used to play pool with him and his brother on our basement pool tablet.(they were amazed a woman knew how to play pool, and could beat them!) He was such a sweetheart, always joking around. He met his future wife at a party at our house, too. She must be devastated.π :::sigh:::: After he was put on a ventilator, I just had the feeling he wasn't going to make it (since that's what happened with my nephew.) Oh, and supposedly he was vaccinated, but his grown kids he was visiting in Florida weren't. π‘ I thought it was a low, low chance you'd die from it if you'd been vaccinated? But he went back to Puerto Rico right after the Florida trip, and that's when he started not being able to breathe. They live out in the boonies there and their hospitals are really not very good. I'm sure that didn't help. So can Covid just f*ck off already?! I am scared to death for my son and his family. The Marines just transfered them from Germany to Tampa, and all four of their kids are too young to be vaccinated.. Ps...Does anyone else here feel like life will never get back to normal? (Again, sorry for the book, and thanks for reading this far if you did.)
