I'm watching the Twilight Zone(s) that I recorded...if I'm going to be anxious, I might as well be entertained at the same time.🙃 PS...there are so many things they did in these old episodes that we don't do anymore! Smoking anywhere and everywhere...little kids just casually going places with strangers...cRaZy sexism, etc...

My news is that I face-timed a little while ago with my Marine son in Germany. He has to quarantine for two weeks because he just got back from a trip to Italy which is now very covid-red (he had to go for his job.) He told me "yeah, we shouldn't even have been sent to Italy, because it was already really getting bad when he sent us. But our commander is a stubborn knucklehead, and made us go anyway." Here's the twist...he's not their commander anymore...he got fired a week after they left for Italy. (not because of his covid stupidity.) He was fired after allegations he used a racial slur (n-word) around subordinates! (I had heard this story on the news, but never knew it was my son's boss) Sheesh...2020 is wild.😨

Yes! As a matter of fact I've had terrible insomnia these last few days. Right now it's 6:10 am and I still haven't been able to fall asleep yet. I know covid is still going to be around for awhile, but I just want the election done (and peacefully accepted by everyone.) And I'm sick to death of all the politician's ads. I always think about how much money is being wasted on them too, because I doubt there's many people left that haven't made up their minds on who they want to vote for. Well..with all that said, I'm going to try to fall asleep again . 😕

Any other weirdos here that can't stand cantaloupe? I can't even stand to have one cut up in my house...ugh..the smell.🤢 And why oh WHY do many fruit salads (like in hotels or restaurants) have so much cantaloupe in them?? Just me? 😁

Supertaster here also. They taste like dirt to me too. Cilantro is the worst tasting thing to me. How about smells? Do they bother you more than other people?

I'm like that about LIVER (and no, don't tell me I'm cooking it wrong)🤢 When I moved to Florida from Illinois, the lack of seasons was the worst. I was so glad to move back to Illinois after nine, hot, humid, buggy years in Florida. Hopefully you'll like your move better than I did. I was thinking about this the other day, and the major thing I hated about being in Florida was sawgrass, grass-burrs, and fireants! Not good for someone who likes to walk barefoot in nice weather. Give me soft green Illinois grass in my yard, any day. (and no sand for all the kids to track in.) Trying to keep sand out of the beds..ugh.😨 (I'm sure the fact I moved there against my will didn't help) Oh...it's Sunday..umm..my good news is I don't live in Florida anymore!😁

Yes..lol I was 16 and almost nine months pregnant (newly married 8 months earlier😁) and I decided to go as a pregnant NUN. (I did win the best costume prize.)😂 Ps a year later I converted and became a Catholic. (I'm agnostic now though)🙃

I should clarify. I can only afford to give out the good stuff, because I live in an unincorporated area with no sidewalks. We're the on the very edge of our (non)town at the end of a dead-end street! In the 30 years I've lived here, I have never, ever gotten more than 20 kids come to my house.😁 (last year I got a measily THREE, and it was very nice weather.) I don't know about the rest of you, but my siblings and I used to go out trick or treating for hours and hours (with a pillowcase to hold our loot.) The most fun was dumping it all out onto the carpet later and sorting everything into categories...then the candy trading would begin In earnest...😊

So sorry about your pupper, @beckie😢 Side note, (just for something lighter😊) I'm not participating in trick or treating this year...but when I do, I'm always "The Legend" 😁 What about the rest of you? What would be your title?

I did the Neilsen thing years and years ago...but you had to hand-write everything you watched on a daily form. I noped out after only a month...what a PITA! I watch a LOT of TV, and was too honest not to fill the whole dang form out every time. (because they sent me cash money too...that's how they "get you".) I heard on the news that a lot people are biting the bullet and buying a house now, because they don't feel as safe in a shared space like condos and apartments anymore. They'd rather be separate with their own families. Maybe that is driving the new houses construction in spite of covid?

Speaking of Christmas (which reminded me of holidays in general) I was thinking that this will be the first time in my 51 years of marriage that I won't be decorating for Halloween. Because...covid. I'm not going to advertise my house as trick or treating friendly..because I don't feel comfortable doing it (for everyone's sake.) On the upside of that..I won't have to take everything down again!😂 And...one of my nieces usually hosts the whole family for an extended family Thanksgiving party, and her sister usually does the same for Christmas. Just got word that both are not being held this year. It was the two times a year I got to see many people of my extended family...but we all agree it's wise. Even my kids and grands might not get even together for Christmas(and Hanukkah if/when my daughter and family can make it.) We always do(did) that, come hell or high water. 😢 I HATE this...not for me, but all the kids! They are missing so much.😭 What about everyone else? Have you even thought (obsessed) that far ahead yet? Just me? 😁 To end on a lighter note..even the most desperate of times will not coax me to watch Family Chantel...even I have *some* standards for my trash TV.🙄 Love me some 90 day fiancee, but they are so obviously fake they make my teeth itch. Ps I think that last part might be "boards on boards" ... never really understood that on TwoP. No kidding...and POST post-op! I had both knees replaced, and getting out of my tub is horrible. Nobody tells you before the surgeries that you won't be able to kneel properly ever again. I mean, you can crouch, but getting down on your (new) kneecaps is agony. I had to install an old lady grab bar on the outside of my tub, and I still struggle to get out. (being overweight doesn't help, I'm sure.) PS I still would have gotten the surgeries..it was SO worth it! My knees are now pain free.

Ok..don't kill me if I'm wrong/mistaken...but I *thought* galaxychaser changed their name to @iwantcookies? (or am I making that up in my head?) They both have the same writing style. (I like them both, either way)💜

Meeting in BFE Oklahoma wouldn't have much appeal to me.🙃 (We always met at a beach that was between West Palm Beach and Hialeah) But we didn't wear jean skirts into the water, either. I can't even imagine how anyone enjoys swimming like that.

You're right! But I was thinking that they could have been doing this before the pandemic (and it wouldn't stop them now...) None of them are the sharpest tools in the shed.

This just reminded me that I used to live the same distance (an hour and 45 minutes) from my sister when we both lived in Florida. We calculated the halfway point between both of our houses, and then always met up at a place right in the middle. That way, each of us had less driving to do to get together. Maybe Justin and Claire (and their respective chaperones) have been doing that? Ps..probably not..it was a smart idea if I do say so myself 😁

I ordered "squishies" (toys) for my grands last Christmas, and the "assortment pack" I ordered were just fine..until I discovered just before wrapping them, that the package included a mini squishy penis-complete with balls (maybe they're feet) 😁 I swear I was unknowingly about to give that to my granddaughter!!😂
