  1. It's a little edgier, but I don't know if that means they're giving an edge to Tate or not. He was a child star that did a tv show called Kicking It on Disney about ten years ago. I saw a few episodes but never really hooked me. He looks shorter, but I could have seen him playing a recast Spencer on General Hospital. That is going to be a bitch to recast.
  2. Yeah. It's not even that NB is a bad-looking guy. He's cute in that cute best friend sidekick kind of way. He would have made a really good Gordo in Lizzie Mcguire if it was being written now. That's not how they're writing Spencer, though.
  3. NB is a 19-year old kid who looks like a 16-year old. That's fine, and it's actually a good thing in this industry. But he simply does not fit the role of Spencer as he's been written since NAC took over. If you're going to be an actor, you have to be honest with yourself about what types of roles you're suited for as you currently look. No amount of shirtless pictures from NB is going to change that he still looks like he should be hanging out with Rocco and Danny. Hell, even the hairstyle fits. I really do wish NB the best of luck in college, and I hope he has a blast.
  4. On Twitter Nicholas Betchel has seemingly denied he will be coming back as Spencer (since it's obvious NAC is not coming back) and is going off to college. Good for him. I find that a lot of child stars benefit from doing college and having a regular life before they come back to acting, if ever.
  5. I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really want them to add at least two more members to Salem's teen scene because I think I could take this storyline if there were a cute nice girl to be competition for Holly in regards to Tate. With there only being 2 teenagers in the entire city of Salem, Tate can't help but be hung up on Holly. I'm just frustrated because I love teen scenes and GH has managed to make one work well with only 3-4 core teen characters, but they need to add at least one more kid for any of this to work. I get the feeling they thought that they could just merge the kids into the 20-something scene but quickly realized that no one was going to be rooting for a 25-year old Johnny to bed a 17-year old girl.
  6. If you follow her Instagram, it's pretty much how she really dresses. She's very much the hot to trot LA girl.
  7. And then there's Amanda Setton's beliefs. It's great that she believes in modest dress and not playing love scenes, but it feels ridiculous for her to be a romantic soap lead, then. I had a lot of residual goodwill for her because of One Life to Live and Gossip Girl, but come in. She would be better off as a bitchy boss character in a Hallmark movie who steals the ideas of the plucky lead.
  8. I really think they should have kept the temp Brooklyn.
  9. I keep thinking Wagger should have been an AJ recast.
  10. Hudson West is looking more and more like a teenaged Ryan Gosling to the point it's distracting. Lol
  11. I personally like that this doesn't seem like a re-tread of the OG, so I'll give it a chance.
  12. I'm hoping it turns out that Holly is lying because she's trying to protect the person she got the "ADD meds" from, preferably a bad boy with a heart of gold. They clearly aren't going that way with Tate so someone needs to be the bad boy with the heart of gold.
  13. I honestly didn't think we were ever going to see Salem High again after they graduated the Ciara/Claire/Joey crowd. Please tell me this means we're getting more than 2 Salem teenagers. I would go with Holly getting the "ADD medication" from some sexy bad boy and her confronting him over it.
  14. So he found his Tammy Sue replacement.
  15. Word. I generally have liked the drug storyline for the most part. It's been awhile since it felt like this show had an umbrella storyline. And yeah, I kind of just went "Eww!" at Goldman and Clyde but at least dude is consistently revolting. LOL I'm betting this is leading to having Ben showing up.
  16. I guess that means RSW will have to bust out the pomade and a black leather jacket.
  17. He'll wear his bangs pushed up and call it a day.
  18. When Stefan came back to life once given Jake's heart after being on the Ironman battery for years, he did show a scar. That has somehow healed up in time for him to do love scenes with Ava. If we go with Jackee's real age, she's just slightly under the limit at 67 years old. I think Abe and Paulina have been played as being about 65 years old. Paulina needs to be young enough to believably had a daughter who's only 25. Jackee would have been 43 years old in 1999, so it's somewhat believable. Not likely, but believable. Helluva lot more believable than Marlana's 2004 pregnancy. I was kind of surprised of Jackee's age, too. I did the math and realized she was only 38 during the first season of Sister, Sister and my mind kinda went, "Huh?"
  19. Chandler and Original Chad did a "Chill" video and it was pretty hysterical. I'm telling you, this show should have had a bisexual Chad storyline. I get the vibe Billy Flynn would be down for that, especially when Zach Tinker was on as Sonny. I kept waiting for those two to kiss. LOL
  20. It's also, at this point, the focal point of their lives. My mom is 77 and she's like that about General Hospital. I have to put on episodes for her if she misses the regular broadcast because she can't learn how to use a remote for streaming. She hated watching the Doug Horton tribute episode with me because it felt like Senior Citizen hour and she doesn't need to be reminded that she's elderly.
  21. I guess I spoke too soon about Holly and Tate. Here's hoping they add in a bad boy with a heart of gold.
  22. Steve Burton did a PG-13 spread back in the 90's for Playgirl. He went uber-religious shortly after this and it became rare to see him with his shirt off.
  23. I just learned that EJ and Will were shipped and I find that hysterical. You know, the actor formerly known as James Scott had such insanely good charisma. God, I miss it. It's a shame The Whisper Within had to quit acting.
  24. Supposedly there's a BeeGee's movie in the works to be directed by Ridley Scott. This article goes over casting, but I don't think it's legitimate because there's no way in hell a studio is going to hire Blake Jenner. Even though he actually does look like a young Barry Gibb. This one feels like a headscratcher to me, because this should have been done in the 90's or the 2000's when 1970's nostalgia was big. Then again, I could see the argument to do this now before the Baby Boomer generation begins to die off en masse as they start hitting their 70's and 80's. I can't see it being Austin Butler because I can't see him doing another music biopic, especially this soon. I just hope they don't fuck up the height difference thing because it's kind of important that Barry Gibb towers over all his brothers.
