Memory Lane: Seasons 1-5

I think it's drugs. Or, as Bethenny said, "Did she go to Columbia... the country? Still don't believe she went to college." -
Memory Lane: Seasons 1-5

OMG! This Season 3 marathon!! Classic situations EVERYWHERE. Those editors must be crying when they see what they have to edit today compared to then: * That Brooklyn FASHION SHOW! I laughed out loud at Ramona's walk! * Kelly's awkward interview with that reporter from Playboy. REPORTER TO KELLY: "I'm reading a really good book, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." KELLY: "Oh, I don't have any tattoos." * Kelly talking about how she supports PETA, but wears fur. * Ramona asking Kelly about her boob surgery. Ramona prophesizing about Bethenny "blowing it" with Jason AND ALL THIS BEFORE SCARY ISLAND!- 1.1k replies

Memory Lane: Seasons 1-5

DVR ALERT: Tuesday (April 20) is an all-day binge-fest of Season 3: SCARY ISLAND!! All my favorite quotes: "Johan Face!" "Al Sharpton!" "Turtle Time!" " -
Is there any doubt that a BIG strong guy wins? Scott is like 6'7" and with that Survivor-like competition, no wonder he wins. Last year, the big guy won too.

... and Wyatt Pike is mysteriously gone.

I just offered that option if they were sick with anxiety, which I seriously doubt they were. And if they are that worried about their health, they wouldn't be hurling themselves across the ice at top speed and landing face first multiple times..

I'm sure the older coaches were vaccinated and maybe even the skaters. And if they were that concerned, they could have stayed home. Given that the Grand Prix events were held without incident (well, except for Russia's), I'm not that worried. Skate America had no problems and I heard that Sweden followed the US protocol.

I wouldn't say that at all. Nathan redeemed himself, Yuma, Shoma and Jason did themselves proud....

Her jumps were marked down. Also, she skates with no facial personality. Maybe I couldn't see her facial expressions, but she looked bored as heck. Not impressed. Maybe a crowd would have helped.

I think everyone has to pick sides. Early on, no one knew what politicians and celebrities thought. Now, everyone has to be divided into two camps. And I'm sure their opinions can be found online. They're also afraid to debate. I'm sure that these days, it takes a lot of courage to go on the show, which is why Bill mostly has the same talking heads found everywhere.

Can you imagine Survivor with the eliminated players staying to help their old tribe members? Ha! Complete sabotage. Uh, yeah. Edge of Extinction season.

Sorry, but this only hurts athletes. For America to act all high and mighty about boycotting the Olympics when it cages children, lies about WMD and willingly murders Black Americans for petty crimes... is priceless.

healthnut: Why on EARTH isn't NBC posting the times of its live streaming skating (Peacock) or the more limited NBCSN schedule? Geez... I only can find the US skating championships on its website.

I'm not enjoying this as much as last year. I HATE that the contestants only have those really stupid nicknames--funny how contestants on other reality shows can figure out how to use real names, but the one with blue collar workers has to use patronizing names like "Knuckles" and "Freight Train." Angel comes across as a sad victim. He needs Go Fund Me, not a competition. I did really appreciate how that woman told him he needed a union job. Of course, he's in Florida. And all this for their families... C'mon! They're perpetuating the stereotype that blue collar trades don't pay well. Not one of them says, "Hey, I want to buy an RV and travel!"? "Or, I want to visit Italy?" I think I'm ... bored.

Figure skating was the final Jeopardy question on Wednesday! No one got it right. Darn! I would have gotten it right ... Category: Winter Sports "The specific skill that gave this sport its name was eliminated from intl. competition after the 1990 world championships" ANSWER: Figure skating. Contestants answered "curling," "skeleton," and something unintelligible.

TV ALERT: Simone Biles will be featured on CBS "60 Minutes" tonight. It's on at 7 pm EST (golf permitting) and it also will be on the CBS On Demand channel. It's the 3rd segment so it will probably be on around 7:35ish.

Oh no it isn't. Blue states are NOTORIOUS for the incredible bureaucracy that permeates every aspect of life. I live in NY where it takes 8 months for a bar to get a liquor license; you need building permits for everything from a shed like Bill's to adding ROCKS to the shoreline of your tiny family lake cottage and 7 forms to get a 5% reduction of your co-pay for your medical bills. Don't even ask me about experiences with the DMV. GO BILL!

Thirty to 40% of all healthcare workers are refusing the vaccine and a lot of people here in the US have given up on trying to schedule it or think an even better "one dose" version will come out in the spring. There will be plenty for everybody by May. Heck, even in NY they've opened eligibility requirements.

Remember.... Tracy is going through a divorce.

She looked anorexic. With the way she was sitting, one bony shoulder higher than the other, the one sleepy eyelid.... she looked like a Picasso portrait.

Not really. Thousands of Notre Dame students stormed the field when they beat Clemson. No big outbreak. Eight thousand Buffalo Bills' fans showed up at the airport. No big outbreak. AND TRUST ME, NY WAS MONITORING THE BILLS' FANS. Very true. Teams WILL be isolated. On the other hand, the Russians probably have immunity now. So they are MORE likely to show up and be safe. If I were a skater and the Olympics were looming in the next 12 months, I would be wearing a hazmat suit on the plane!
-
It will be fine. LasVegas showed that it can be fine. Thousands at football games are fine. If I was a coach Frank Carroll's age, I might sit it out, but I would go IF I WAS VACCINATED. Why not?

America loves winners and Nathan is the World Champion and our only chance for an Olympic gold medal in skating. As for the women, we have no depth. Alysia is our only chance for a medal and if she is out or chokes, there's no one, unlike the Russians and the Japanese.
