S06.E04: Steaks on a Plane

I really enjoyed this episode. No Eddie, Emma was competent and not annoying, Hank and Boris awesomeness, and Jeremy trying to impress someone. Even Divya was tolerable.

Why are Paige and Evan seeing a therapist? They have such a healthy relationship and are always communicating. Their relationship is better than most I know.

What I didn't like was Paige and Evan having 17 year old Emma move into Hank's place while he was out of the country. Way to leave the teenager unsupervised, guys!

I also didn't like Divya ordering Jeremiah around at their first visit to the firehouse. Divya, the "A" in "PA" stands for "assistant", which means you shouldn't be ordering Jeremiah to get your stuff for you. Yep, she continues to bug.

I loved Boris' singing. Jeremiah was adorable, as always. I want him to be happy!

I hadn't thought of it but Divya  did boss our Jeremiah around.  I'm happy that he seems interested in someone else though.  They are mistaken to have the Jeremiah character so inept with people.  He's shy - not stupid.

And I'm not so crazy about Divya needing to date already.  Was this not how she got into a problem to begin with.  The character needs to figure out some basic common sense rules of the road.  Just enjoy the baby for now.  I guess in TV Land you don't have to spend time on changing the kid, feed, food shopping, cleaning, do bottles, diapers or do laundry.  Most young single moms would barely have time to breath with caring for the little one plus a full time job PLUS all the time it takes to put on the makeup!

Enjoyed seeing Boris.  Hank looked all kinds of HOT in that suit.  Emma, not sure about her yet. Tired of Evan/Paige fighting and already seeing a therapist.  I love Jeremiah and hope he asks out the bartender.

Finally getting some where with the Hank and Boris plot. I liked crazy Boris-- let's bring him out more often. Totally called that lady having gout, and I liked Hank using his medical knowledge to try and stall her (though seriously, a cufflink to simulate deep vein thrombosis? Most lay people can't tell what anything is when looking at an ultrasound (speaking for myself, anyway)-- the cufflink made a very distinct shape and he could have just pointed to a shadow for all she knew). I was guessing that Boris had bugged the cufflinks too, but I guess that's a little too much spy for this show.

I don't mind Evan and Paige seeing a therapist because they clearly were having some issues at the end of last season (however contrived those issues were)-- I do mind the wacky "live in our therapist's guest house and mine that for laughs" plot that's starting now. Glad they decided to ask Emma not to live with them, as it was pretty clear that wasn't going to help whatever issues they are having. Also, I am missing Russell something fierce. Please bring him back, show!

Who was the firefighter who wanted to go on the date with Divya? He looked so familiar... I think he was on the very short-lived Internal Affairs (was that also on USA?). I'm not really on the Divya/Jeremiah train anymore so I'm happy if each of them want to go out and find someone to date. Now Divya just needs to move out of Jeremiah's house...

I still don't trust Emma, and fully expect Hank to come home to an empty house because she stole everything.

Contrived sums it up. Because on tv there just can't be a normal, married couple. I don't see that there's anything requiring therapy. Couples can actually have an argument and then it dies down and goes away. It happens every day all over the place.

Why not just go out and have a drink? Take a break from the baby, take a break from work.

I could take or leave Boris and Hank's silliness. I thought the case was ok and I do like Jeremiah working.

Anyone else scream out "Gout" as soon as we met the financial advocate?

I didn't catch on until Hank started asking for foods like chocolate, cheese and red wine. He hit virtually everything on the no-no list before it was over.

As soon as she started limping I thought gout. His meal choice confirmed it. I did not find Hank's situation compelling, though I loved Boris' singing.

I hate what's being done to Evan and Paige.  I could understand seeing a therapist to deal with some of their issues from last season, and I liked that they had gotten to a place where they felt they no longer needed therapy for the time being.  Now, they're psychoanalyzing everything they say and every action they do.  Just stop.

Love Boris and his singing.  The Monte Carlo arc was OK, but I like when the series touches on his illness and the air of intrigue that surrounds his family.  That's how the series began.

Jeremiah is awsome!  Someone better show the man some love.

I agree with those who don't trust Emma.

I can't believe I have been watching all these years and never realized that Boris was played by Campbell Scott.  The accent had me fooled?  My husband has never watched this show, walked by the screen the other day and said, "Hey, that's Campbell Scott--you know, the guy from 'The Spanish Prisoner.' "  Duh, did I feel like a doofus.

Does this show even have a point anymore? I'm not trolling. I'd really like to know.

I think it is to show pretty scenes of big houses and have random intrigue that is tangentially related to some overarching storyline that by the time they touch on it again, you forget what happened before it because they move at a snails pace.

They need to fire those college English majors they hired to write for this show. They're trying to make it an action-adventure show when it was just getting by as a lightweight comedy. Perhaps they're just writing for other college kids because this show is getting crappier with every episode.

Die Boris. Please. Die.  I'd sacrifice Hank if you can only die by taking him with you. Just please go away. You belong on a different show that needs an absurd character.

For me it was kind of creepy with the therapist.  First it is a weak story line as most men would not tolerate having another man dictate how he should feel.  I think this therapist needs one himself.  He seems close to a stalker.

I just graduated from college and the show is a smidge ridiculous, although the Boris stuff is an entertaining distraction from the occasional ridiculousness of the Hamptons.

Boris is an interesting character, but I think they should either go all out on the Boris storyline and actually dedicate a decent portion of the season to it - have some writers actually focus on writing it rather than just have Hank & Boris do some random thing every other season, or they should resolve it quickly this season or next, then have Boris be their benefactor again - perhaps have him take a more hands-on approach to HankMed, he could spur them to hire a specialist or two - they definitely need a radiologist at the least, and probably a neurologist, given the number of head injuries their patients seem to get.
