The house hunt begins after Christina and Ant decide to move in together; the clock is ticking as they rush to renovate and move into their dream home before hosting a secret wedding.

I said I wouldn't watch...but I lied. Just had to see how bad it was and it was worse! But I came here to mention the only thing I really enjoyed about this episode(other than it finally ended!) was C and A talking about English and "American"....that sequence was actually cute! That is all I have to say about this episode.

Perfect couple, perfect house, perfect wedding.  Yawn!

It was good to see Izzy, and I hope he's banking serious money off of this renovation.  However, the expenditure of money was a bit difficult to swallow.  I know it's California, and it's an expensive part of California, but still.  To spend $4.1 then probably dump $100,000 (at least) before they even touch the pool.  It's like they're burning jet fuel.

I don't know that much about how wealthy Ant is, but at some point, their lifestyle seems like it's going to bite them.

Oh...and Christina has a design team?  (Eye roll.)

I wonder what Tarek thinks of all of this?  His kids are in the middle of it.  The kids were also part of F or F, but things seem to be escalating in terms of wealth and exposure.

Ok, was it this episode where she got her assistant or lackey to help her with the surprise wedding?  I woke up and was trying to get back to sleep to no avail, so I turned on the tv, and this show was on at the time.

The assistant or was it a party planner? had to bring wedding dresses to the house, because she couldn't be seen going into a wedding dress store.  Ok.  Yeah, I'm sure there are photogs following you all over (not likely), but yeah someone might blab.  She had two dresses, and one fit perfectly?  One that had the back almost all out, major boobage showing, fit perfectly.  Please.  Even in my half asleep wanting to get back to sleep stupor, I was like that was a custom design.  BS on being off the rack.  As if for our Princess!

And the whole surprise! It's a wedding - like it was so innovative and novel...…….been done, honey.   Multiple celebs have done it.  Oh wait...……..that's what she wants - to be a celeb.  Whomever said they get a Mean Girls vibe - spot on.   Regina George, Interior Designer.

How did she become this super designer?  She flipped houses with her ex husband, was a Realtor originally.  She made basic design choices to sell houses (or should have been doing so).  I've looked online to see her actual qualifications, but nothing.  Nothing like she has a degree in art or was a business major with a fashion design minor.  Nothing.  Not even she worked in a fabric store or a Macy's as a teen.  Nothing.  

I've looked up actual interior designers here locally - they list their credentials.  

I heard the discussion about the house - Ant had finished something for her and they started talking about the pool, and how much.  I mercifully must've fallen asleep at the commercial break...…..

In the preview for the post-wedding episode Christina is having the pool re-done because it has no "character"... and oops... the old pool is gone, there's a hole in the ground, and all of a sudden she realizes they have to scale back the expense. Drama! Suspense! How does the fair Christina pull this off? Stay tuned.

Will someone puhleaze tell me how a pool has character.

There is just something . . . unseemly . . . about turning this show into a big wedding spectacular for Christina and her new husband. Because the only reason we know who Christina is is because she was on Flip or Flop with her first husband, Tarek. She was part of a package deal. Yet somehow HGTV has arrived at the conclusion that we are so invested in Christina we'll follow her into a new marriage to someone else. I just can't think of a precedent for that. 

And yet . . . ugh, this show seems to be getting pretty decent ratings. Why?

They probably kept the old house/rental and filled it with TV's set to watch every episode in an effort to boost ratings 😉

The fact that this is even a “show” on television shows us how desperate these networks are to put something, anything on the air. There’s so much absolute trash on TV now that we will not let our grandsons even watch it at our house and neither do their parents. I do love the preview where Christina says “ I.  Am.  So.  Proud.  How. My Design.  Turned.  Out.” Blink, blink with the fake eyelashes. And I see that she still can’t turn her head to look at anyone. She just turns her eyes a tiny bit. What the hell is wrong with this woman? Boorrriinngg.

I think the show is getting pretty decent ratings because everybody wanted to see how Christina was doing with the new guy...ig, fig whatever his name is.

We saw him and frankly he doesn't have much personality and I think she fell in love with one of the laborers on her old show because he did put that gate in.

It must be her money and her name carrying this show.  It won't last long because there isn't much there.  She's not going to be 'in love' for long.  She's an uptown gal..wannabe!

Flip or Flop is starting back up so there's that.

We watched the first few episodes and there are some still on the DVR. I don’t really care about her house or her wedding, I just want my house porn 😁. I like looking at the before and after pics... and deciding what I would change.

We will eventually watch them but probably fast forward thru the wedding stuff.
