He’s been married so many times. I guess he has a pattern of dropping women once boredom sets in. 

He is a very selfish person. It was both. He started losing interest in her because she spent time filming the show, and was not as devoted to him and his needs. He was probably also annoyed (jealous?) at the attention she was receiving because of the show. She thought that he would be more caring when she was sick, but her illness, and new needs turned him off. He is a horrible person (not that Yolanda is perfect) who soon after married a woman decades younger than him.

He did marry a thirty something year old after Yolanda.

I remember that makeup scene because I couldn't believe Yolanda said that! I don't think she meant to be offensive, but still. I don't think she ever addressed the remark either. 

I remember that too. I think Yolanda saw all the diet stuff as supporting Gigi's modeling dreams, but again, I was uncomfortable watching. 

I know Yolanda can say offensive things and come across very tough, but I'll give her this. I think she is more authentic than a lot of women who've done the show, a good person at her core, and almond mom and all, raised sweet kids.

That's what I think too. David enjoyed having this beautiful woman cater to him. I don't think there was anything deep there, at least not on his part. I also admire his talent, but I couldn't imagine being married to him no matter what kind of lifestyle he could provide. I remember when Yolanda took her breast implants out, David joked "Ken has better tits now." I'm sorry, that's not funny. All any woman would want to hear from her partner is that he wants her to get better, that she's beautiful no matter what, etc.

It reminds me of Simon Barney when he was married to Tamra Judge of the Orange County Housewives. He was extremely unsatisfied with her removing her (large) implants, and replacing them with smaller ones until she removed them permanently (later on) because she had immune system issues. He said that her breasts were like mosquito bites for breasts. These kind of guys don't care about their wives' health.

That's such a disgusting thing to say. I also think it's mean when men mock women who've had work done. It's like damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I agree. When I watch her talking to Gigi about food and the perils of volleyball, you can tell she means well and is trying to give her advice that will advance her modeling career. But she’s quite clunky with her delivery.

I admired the way Yolanda interacted with the other housewives. She was logical and could be sympathetic. 
 

I guess I am disappointed, because David did take the time to point out things that he loved about her. And they were not superficial reasons. He seemed to appreciate the qualities that she prided herself on. 
 

I still think he should have married a young woman instead of Yolanda, and spared her the heartache, abandoning her when she really needed him.

I recall a member of the Foster family being asked if Yolanda really had Lyme disease.  The answer was yes, not for three years.  Also, didn’t Yolanda say she spent six months in bed after giving birth to one of her kids? And she thought Gigi and Anwar also had Lyme disease.   David Foster admitted in his memoir that he’s been a bad husband because he is obsessed with his work. He probably gave her a lot of attention when she first became ill, but lost interest when she went on her worldwide crusade to cure herself.

Mohamed Hadid said that his kids didn't have Lyme disease, it doesn't matter what Yolanda claimed. I think one of the HWs repeated it on the show. I don't remember if he said Yolanda didn't either.

From what I recall he said the kids didn't and left Yo alone - as in didn't mention her.
