I have to admit I like the Bros as a duo.  They entertain me. I hope Sam will use her power to save one. It would be justified because she was partly responsible for Winston at least going up if not both of them.  But then this episode really brought home how much I dislike Scottie. What a smug little prick.  He thought he was so smart instigating a big blow up between Kaitylyn and Brett. Except Brett didn't bite, and outplayed Scottie there and came off both level headed and sympathetic. I think Scottie has handled his whole HOH badly. Brett is the better player of the Bros and deserves to stay. The way he handled the Crazy Kait confrontation impressed me more than the Veto speech, but the speech was indeed hilarious by the standards of this show.

Finally, someone else that likes the bros as much as I do. I was starting to feel odd, strange, inadequate. Seems most people hate them.

They make me laugh and they're yummy eye candy.

Well, there was that little thing called "the weather".  It's been pretty hot in sunny SoCal, and that AstroTurf in the back yard isn't helping, I'm sure.

He's made himself the #1 target of the largest alliance in the house.  Yay?  If fucking production wasn't shoving Power Apps into Bayleigh's hands and giving Kaitlyn hints "hits" in the middle of the night, he'd be out of here even sooner than he's gonna be.

"You've been knocking on the Devil's doors and now you're gonna have to answer to me."   Ooooh, scary.  Except not.  HoH-itis is wasted on this douchebag.  In the category of "virgins named Scott", I'm far more impressed by BBOTT's Scott Dennis, who endured ostracism, a major punishment, a threatened backdoor, and screamfests from some of that season's less-pleasant HGs.  This pale putz does not impress me, at all.  Enjoy Greece, geek.

Points to Brett for the straight-up mockery of Krazy Kait at the Veto Ceremony.  Although I'm sure they knew that Winston couldn't pull that sort of thing off, so Brett was the obvious choice. That said, I'm hoping he gets evicted tomorrow, since he won't be as fun without Winston to play off of, whereas Winston's neurotic paranoia will be a gift that keeps on giving.  But JMO.

I agree with everything you said except the bolded part. I actually want Brett to stay. I think he can be funny with or  WITHOUT  Winston.

Well he is right though.  I am a librarian.  When studying Hamlet in school teachers will often use character worksheets of both the movie and the play.  Here is a quote I found about the movie:

The Lion King was the first Disney animated feature to be an original story, rather than be based on an already existing work. The filmmakers have said that the story of The Lion King was inspired by the lives of Joseph and Moses, from the Bible, and William Shakespeare's Hamlet.

Others beat me to it. The whole vice versa thing.

Did TPTB tell her that her name was being thrown around in an effort to ratchet up the "drama"?  I certainly doubt that she came up with that on her own.

That's about Krazy Kait.  And no as someone already said above:

Spoiler

Bayleigh woke her up and told her her name was being thrown around in HOH so she hopped out of bed to go see Scottie right off.  That's the part the editors didn't include.

Yes but what was he supposed to do, nominate two people from his own alliance? He was going to be in this position no matter who he nominated. It's not as if he'd be less of a target if he nominated Rachel and Angela or Kaycee and Tyler. He has to take out someone from the six-person alliance, I don't see how he can mitigate becoming a target unless he nominates nobody.

About Scottie's nominations.  He could have nominated Krazy Kait since she had betrayed his side and put up probably Winston as the other nom and let the house decide.  That was his best option to go deeper in the game I believe.  Now he is a target.

The other way he wouldn't be especially if he told Winston he was the pawn again like he was last week.  Scottie folds into L6's protection for this deal and makes deals with the outliers in that alliance as the bigger fish get fried and easily makes jury and eventually becomes a major player.

This way he is toast sooner than later and probably won't even make jury.  You have to be more subtle with your noms and not drive a tank directly at them.  That never works for a player long term.  This revenge for Steve garbage is totally stupid.  Steve is sitting back in Jersey thinking "I actually hung out with that dummy?  What was I thinking?"

I kind of respected Brett for telling the HOH that he wasn't going to kiss his butt.

Until after he lost the Veto anyway. Both Bros were full of themselves up until that point. Afterwards? Not so much.

I don't believe Scottie would be less of a target if he'd nominated someone else. Then he'd just be their target. And Scottie was always going to be a L6 target; he's not part of their alliance. I'm sick of early HoHs making easy, cowardly moves. Plus Scottie really stepped up and crushed that Veto. He's playing hard. Too hard? Maybe, but he's playing. I think it would have been a much dumber move to nominate anyone that wasn't already actively targeting him and/or who wasn't on his side. Nobody ever goes after the obvious Alpha Male alliance heads and it drives me nuts. They just steamroll their way to the end every. single. season.

Bayleigh wearing a blue and white outfit for the veto competition was nice touch. Wonder if that was deliberate or a coincidence?

What did I miss? Why would blue and white be deliberate for her?

I'm sorry but when this season is over and assuming neither of them win, Brett and Winston need to do porn together. I could so see them Eiffel Towering somebody and I would probably watch it. A couple of times.

Hilarious because it's so true.

The Bros are actually quite popular on other sites and on the feeds thread here.

It's interesting, I feel like the feed thread and the episode threads read almost like they're about different shows. That's not new for this season though, I think it happens every year. I've mentioned before that I work with several of what I call "super casuals." They are obsessed with the show, but not at all interested in the feeds. And even though we typically agree on a wide variety of topics, they almost never have the same view on the show that I do. The editing impact is HIGH.

It's pretty annoying, really. I don't like being given highly edited "characters". I want to know what's really going on, what people are actually like, etc. Problem is, I simply don't have to time to watch the live feed. I don't even have time to peruse the Live Feed thread. I may take a quick peek if they do a cliff-hanger HOH and I can't wait to find out who wins. But other than that...three one hour episodes per week is already a lot for me.

I didn't have a strong opinion on the bros before this week. Didn't love 'em, didn't hate 'em. I was just really bothered by the way Winston started talking all violently about Scottie, just because he was put on the block. Brett seems less problematic, but still very arrogant. I'd actually like to see one go home, just to see how one plays without the other.

I don't think blue and white was deliberate on her part at all but the point of mentioning blue and white by the original poster I suppose is because they are the colors of the Greek flag.

I only read the live feeds thread here because I don't have extra time either.  I find it is only a couple of pages a day and you can scan it really quickly too in case people wander off topic so I'd recommend it.  And they almost always find the major nuggets from other sites if they miss something themselves.

I choose to remain unspoiled with The Amazing Race.  I spoiled myself several years on that show and didn't find it added anything to my viewing pleasure at all.   Same with Survivor.

But BB is totally different with 24/7 feeds and it is like two different shows going on at once so I definitely wouldn't consider watching the TV version unless I read the thread here as well.  Besides the re-cap people here as well as ones they quote from other sites are way way funnier than the show itself thus more entertaining.  And if I watch a show I want FULL entertainment value for my time.  Because that is what the live feed theread is about most.  Funny stuff and comments.

If people do NOT want to get spoiled before a broadcast then just read about a week behind in the live feed thread for giggles then.  I highly recommend it.

(this is actually imonrey, but I can't multi-quote across pages)

Well, for one thing, Scottie isn't even in that alliance.  Either as "Foutté" or

Spoiler

"The Sacred Six", the expanded version that includes Bayleigh.

He doesn't even know the alliance exists.  He just thinks he's "working with his side", which basically means telling Rockstar anything that anyone tells him, as we saw this episode.  He was Swaggy's rat, now he's hers.  (He must have a thing for stupid nicknames.)

And who said he had to nominate anyone?  He would have been perfectly safe with Rachel as HoH, he could have thrown that final question.  Throwing the tie-breaker would have been nearly impossible, given Rachel's wretched math, but there was an opportunity before that.

And yes, if he had nominated Rockstar and Haleigh, that would have been helping "the other side".  Which would have bought him at least five weeks of safety (which means Jury), not to mention that he could have negotiated an even better deal for himself as part of taking that route.  And it's not as if Scottie hadn't prepared this possibility;  remember that he set up the entire "wear a tee shirt to show your loyalty" nonsense just so he could frame one of the girls if, say, Bayleigh won HoH; it's that he (probably with DR prompting) decided not to follow through on his own plan.

Or he could have easily targeted Bayleigh, as the standard "finish off the showmance and we all move forward" strategy.  Nobody would have been really upset with him.

Or he could have targeted "floaters" such as Sam and JC; they've largely aligned with L6, but they're perceived as neutral players.

Spoiler

The house is all concerned about Sam winning America's Favorite; Scottie could have easily sold the move as "flush out her power"/"keep her off the Jury"

That's four separate options that Scottie had.  Not to mention the most obvious one:

Not only did Kait flip on the Steve vote, not only did she backdoor Chris, but she put Scottie up as "a pawn"; he could have pointed out that had the nominations been frozen, it would have been him going home, and not Winston.  It's a perfectly simple revenge play; nobody would have been shocked.

But Scottie chose the most combative path.  Both for TV time/ego, and because

Spoiler

he stupidly thinks that there is going to be a BattleBack, that Chris will win it, and that he/Faysal/Chris will just control the HoHs and clean out the other side.

Yeah, you're such a stud, Scottie.  That was totally going to happen.

It's infuriating that he can't go home next week, but it's going to be a pleasure when it happens.

I don't even know her name--Hayleigh?--but I was very impressed with the Hamlet reading.

Having listened to Sam falter through her App instructions, rewound for JC's closed captioning, and cringed at Kaitlyn's vocal fry schtick, I'm thinking it could have been considerably worse.

P.S.  Nary a houseguest familiar with Hamlet??  FFS.  I weep.

To Feed or not To Feed, that is the question. Personally I enjoy being on the ride they want to take us on and how it is crafted together.

I know there is another show going on behind the scenes and I'm fine with that knowledge that we are seeing a *gasp* highly edited clip-show during the week. I'm good with that fact. I honestly don't care. You enjoy your show I'll enjoy mine. :-)

LOL, you should see the sheer number of other show threads I already participate in! I have a full page of content to check almost every time I log in. It's ridiculous. Every once in awhile I have time to duck into the feed thread. But not often.

Maintain that perspective as long as you can, and it’ll serve you well - because once you look behind the curtain and realize just how much is going on behind the scenes that never makes it to the broadcast, there’s no going back.  Lord knows *I’ve* tried.  ;)

But there was nothing particularly Greek-looking about it and it also didn't much coordinate with the disco-era costuming of the game. I figured it was her own clothing but who knows?

Well if you have time, last night the 19th had the best live feeds going on in not only this season but in years.  Thus lots of pages but well worth it.  Just saying what you saw on the TV sow with Rockstar at the end is just the beginning on the fireworks which includes just not her alone because a house with Kait knows Kait is in the house shall we say.
