I've seen everything Marvel has ever put out, and I`ll probably need to watch Iron Fist to catch everything that will happen in future, better MCU Netflix shows, but...it just sounds awful! I have too much stuff to do to make the time to binge, but I feel like I'm required to watch it. But it sounds like it sucks! The struggle is real. 1 Link to comment
dtissagirl March 17, 2017 Share March 17, 2017 I was cured from watching everything Marvel when they cast Doctor Strange, and there's no fucking way I'm watching Benedryl Cucumberalien in anything ever again because he's terrifying and I'd rather poke myself in the eye. tv echo March 17, 2017 Share March 17, 2017 (edited) This writer postulated that Oliver now needs Sara's help to fight the Prometheus/Talia alliance... Arrow: Oliver Is In Over His Head, And Only One Former Teammate Can Help Him March 17, 2017 Mark Wilsonhttp://theinscribermag.com/arrow-oliver-head-one-former-teammate-can-help/ Quote ... When Oliver learned that Chase was Prometheus it changed the landscape of the show to a more personal feel they way Slade’s character did. In addition to Chase being somewhat in the inner circle, he seems to be on the same fighting level as Oliver, smarter and that has made his character the best one of the best villains we’ve seen so far. But, how does Arrow beat him? That’s tricky due to his allegiance with Oliver’s former teach, Talia who also happens to be the daughter of Ra’s al Ghul. The two of them are a deadly force and as much as he likes to think so, his current team is not capable of defeating the duo. It’s clear that Oliver needs help. Not an army but a clone. ... Oliver needs a killer by his side and there is only one that fits that criteria. Sara Lance. * * *Sara is also trained in the ways of The League of Assassins and will be a formidable opponent for Talia while Oliver takes on Chase. This is the only way this showdown should go down and I hope the writers do not let Rene or Mr. Terrific try to take them on because that will destroy what has been a great build up this season. Time to fight fire with fire. Edited March 17, 2017 by tv echo 1 Link to comment

Honestly, it was so obvious this whole time, I keep forgetting everyone doesn't know that already. I started the first episode of Iron Fist, and it is giving me so many flashbacks to the first season of Arrow. Rich guy presumed dead returns years later, rich parent/parents died in accident that supposedly claimed rich guy, and said rich guy comes back totally different with badass crime fighting abilities. Except, the guys been gone longer, so they're drawing out this plot about people questioning its him, so its taking longer for Danny to Save His City, and its boring. So very boring. Granted, I just started, and the first half of season 1 of Arrow wasn't perfect or anything, but it was engaging, and even back then SA was a million times the actor this guy is. Way to make me appreciate Arrow more, show! Link to comment

Starfish35 March 17, 2017 Share March 17, 2017 So all three shows had series lows in viewership this week. Arrow ended up #2 for the week with Supergirl not airing and Legends' drop. Flash dropped 124K viewers. Arrow dropped 77K viewers. Legends dropped 199K viewers. Next week Supergirl is back and Flash has the musical crossover. This Is Us and Lethal Weapon are done for the season, but The Voice is back. Also, March Madness. I don't follow sports so I don't know if any of the scheduling would effect any of the DC shows. I think we're only going to have all four shows airing for two more weeks. I think Arrow, Flash, and Supergirl will all go on break after that before returning at the end of April to run their last five episodes. And of course Legends only has three more episodes to air. 1 Link to comment

Melissa and David Harewood, and it sounds like Chris Wood has been a last minute addition. Personally I would assume that's because they have some announcement they want to make about his character, not the actors' personal lives, but who knows. 3 Link to comment

I'm not forcing you to think it's a mess. Me thinking it's a mess is totally my opinion. I just think it's unfair. Not to EBR, but to her fans who want to hear from her and her take on Felicity's arc (which is pretty much the biggest arc on the show right now after Oliver's). Look I get why not a lot of people are upset other than EBR/Felicity fans, it's probably because their faves are going so it doesn't matter if EBR goes or not. But I'm allowed to be upset that mine isn't, especially because this is Felicity's first BIG arc and she's not even getting the exposure from that. I find that incredibly wrong. 5 Link to comment
Starfish35 March 17, 2017 Share March 17, 2017 (edited) I AM a Felicity/EBR fan. I just think it's ridiculous that, just because Supergirl decided they needed Chris Wood there for whatever reason, that all the other shows should have to go "oh now we need a third too" and go and grab the actors and make them change whatever plans they had for the weekend just because Supergirl wanted/needed a third. I get fans being disappointed that she wasn't included on the panel in the first place. I totally do. What I do not get is the "fairness" thing, as if Chris Wood's inclusion is somehow a slight to EBR. That just doesn't make sense to me. Edited March 17, 2017 by Starfish35 8 Link to comment

It's clearly not just about Paley for me. It's about a years worth of silence from her, then they choose not to bring her to Paley because they're doing the 2 top billed actors... Which fine, I get that justification. But then they turn around and say "kidding! It's not just the two top billed actors!". Clearly they weren't married to the whole 'just bring the two top billed actors' idea... And the fact that they weren't and still didn't choose to bring her even though she has one of the biggest arcs going on right now says a lot. And this on top of the years worth of silence? It builds up. So yeah, I'm unhappy. Edited March 17, 2017 by wonderwall 10 Link to comment

Leaving aside the issue of wishing EBR would do another Paley event, I am a bit frustrated that an already overloaded panel is now more overloaded and that by adding a third to Supergirl, it makes it likely that Supergirl will end up with more attention when the limited time was already split four ways. At least before, it was split evenly. Now the balance is upset. But Supergirl is probably the show that the CW most wants to push in the panel. 6 Link to comment

kismet March 18, 2017 Share March 18, 2017 I'm honestly not surprised that TPTB upset the balance. The concept of fairness in a promotional event like PaleyFest is a fallacy. It's all about whatever they perceive their needs and goals are. I am sad for those that really hoped to hear EBR's perspective. It would be really nice, but it was a long shot that any additional attention would be given to Arrow. It's aging out of the demographic, sliding in ratings and seems to be waffling in fan/critic response. So frankly, I'm surprised Arrow was allowed to even get two seats at the Fest at all. 1 Link to comment
