Dear Chuck, Jensen is a patient guy. I would've been hard-pressed not to give Jared a smack from about 11:30 on, lol. Eventually he just gives up trying to give a real answer with the gibbon acting up next to him.

Thanks for posting this! Can't wait for the full panel too!

Tired Jared was funny at first but dude could barely finish a sentence at times. I love that Jensen apparently preps Jared on how to behave during these things. Jensen is a master at rolling his eyes.

Jensen's face is a national treasure :) It's cute that he calls Zeppelin 'my little dude'.

Jensen did say a few times that Jared wasn't in a good place.  Jared was also out partying with Misha the night before.  So probably a little hung over as well.

Wait, what do you mean? Like his mental health or just that Jared was too tired? Jared, Jensen and Jason were all at Jason's home in VA the day before. Why wouldn't Jensen have been out with Misha and Jared though?

I'm sure not that energetic when I'm hungover, LOL! It doesn't generally seem like Jared needs a reason to act the fool when Jensen's answering a question though. :)

I think it's likely that Jared was hungover and behaving like I've seen him behave at nearly every con. I don't understand that schtick if it is a schtick that Jared is that just this big ole silly puppy and Jensen is is a grumpy big brother. I mean to me it's rather rude how often Jared interrupts Jensen's answers to the point that Jensen just doesn't bother to answer. I guess con goers must love it or it wouldn't continue to happen.

I don't know about the general con-goers, but I know how I feel about it. I love that they have fun together on stage and aren't scripted, and I don't want dry Q & As by any means. But I find that Jared goes too far, too often, interrupting or acting the fool when Jensen is trying to answer a question. I'm sure Jensen doesn't mind nearly as much as I do, but I think it's unfair and a little disrespectful to the person who finally gets to ask Jensen his/her question and doesn't get an answer because of Jared's antics.

I had only heard that Jared was most likely hungover for the panel, but there really isn't an excuse for knocking over and into Jensen and the microphone several times and being borderline obnoxious.  I am surprised about not seeing anything about this stuff on social media, because the wank I saw was about other things that happened, mostly involving Jensen.

I agree and I do love the antics to a point but I have honestly stopped watching con vids and paying to go to cons because it really is worthless at this point. There isn't any new info. You never know when J2 is going to become the Jared show and no one ever pulls that back into line. I mean, don't get me wrong. I don't mind Jared having a good time but, when Jensen gets asked a question and Jared answers for him, that is annoying and if it was me, I would have a hard time not being rude about it, considering how hard it is to be able to actually be able to ask Jensen a question at these things that some can barely afford to go to. Plus, I go to see Jensen, or at least Jared and Jensen, not Jared and the other guy.

Plus we learn very little about the show.  The questions are mostly repetitive about pranks or children or Misha.

I honestly can't imagine paying that much money and not asking about the show. I guess maybe the M&G people ask the show questions but then they aren't supposed to discuss it, so how do we ever get any insights? I want someone to ask Jensen about Dean's SL this season. I know all about Jack, Sam, and Castiel mostly. Even Mary and Lucifer. Like even if the only Jensen could say, so as not to spoil it, would be something like Dean has some interesting things coming up, I'm fine with that. It's SOMETHING I could hang my hat on for the rest of the season. That would be enough.

I'm still really bugged about Jared answering FOR Jensen about Dean...that one mystifies me.

I have so many questions I would love to ask that sometimes when I hear the ones people do I just shake my head. Some personal/some show-related.

- What characteristic of Dean/Sam do you like least or feel they should have outgrown by now?

- What do you want to do after Supernatural - film? Sitcom? Another hour-long drama?

- Do you think Dean and Sam like each other and would be friends if they weren't brothers?

- You have grown as actors over the years - what scene from the first few seasons would you like to redo now and how would it be different?

- Now that the statute of limitations is up, can you please tell us what the infamous bad idea was?

- You both grew up in Texas but not Austin - how did both of you end up there and why?

- When both of you became Dads was there ever a discussion with writers about toning down sex scenes and/or shirtless scenes?

- How different would your life be if Supernatural filmed in L.A. and you were around the Hollywood scene every day?

- Have you ever been disappointed in a season's story arc for your character or another character on the show?

How about them asking/Jared answering something about Jensen's children? LOL!

ETA: @scribe95 those are all excellent questions. I wish somebody would ask any one of them. I would love it if Creation allowed a 'call in' question (via email or Twitter of course) and then Live-streamed the answer (Facebook/Instagram or the like). At least those could be screened.

This one they have answered. Sam with s8 Samelia and Jensen never lets an opportunity go to not not  mention the too soon ends of Purgatory and demon!Dean.  I would ask them OTHER THAN those what SL do wish had gone differently. I would ask Jensen about being the Righteous Man and Michael's vessel. I would ask Jared about why Sam went with Ruby and I would caveat that "No, you don't get to talk about marrying Ruby IRL' LOL.

Yes - about the twins when they were first born. How did Jared feel about that, or some such nonsense.

Heh, I wouldn’t be surprised if the person asking was one of those fans who think J2 are a couple and secretly raising the kids together. With that frame of mind the question is fitting as they’d be /their/ kids.

To avoid misunderstanding I in no way hold that view of J2 relationship (in a general sense not romantic lol) myself.

I don't know what Jensen meant but they both were suffering from midseason (for them) burn out.  And there were pics of Jared out with Misha and fans the night before.  So I imagine exhaustion and a massive hang over. Some of the fans sounded a little hung over too.

I got the impression from the vid that Jensen was just joking because of the girl going on and on about how Jared was a tall drink of Coca Cola so he said that Jared had had a bad time and needed the praise to boost him up. But Jared was tired, hung over, etc. I don't think he meant anymore than that.

Some cons he's serious and introspective and some he's just allover the place. It reminds me of my niece's father who is bi-polar. I'm not saying Jared is bi-polar, but sometimes he makes me wonder. I only watched a bit of this one--only up until Jensen said it was going to be one of those days--but I immediately felt like I as watching someone who wasn't in a good mental state and I just can't find that funny, myself. I enjoy it when they joke around together, but I didn't feel like they were joking around as much as Jared was all over the place and Jensen was just trying to get through it. So, I just turned it off. It's not like any of the questions they answered was new information anyway.

Please don't call Jared a monkey, don't call anybody a monkey.

That's how he was acting, flailing around, tossing his beanie, pawing at Jensen. I meant it to be funny as well as true and I'd say the same thing to his face - my rule of thumb when posting something.

They call themselves dancing monkeys all the time at cons anyway.

All the reasons mentioned here are why my daughter and I no longer attend ChiCon. The ticket prices are astronomical and it just isn't worth it anymore. :( And as I've mentioned here before, the total experience just isn't like it was many moons ago. Frankly, I'm surprised they still get the attendance that they do.

Can you tell me much about ChiCon. I'm considering going this summer. Would be my first con. It's my birthday weekend. As a 40-year-old it already seems odd to go but I do enjoy the show and the actors so much. Only gold packages are up now and they are ridiculous. I'm hoping other tickets will be available soon. If I don't do a big package is it worth it?

First of all, con goers are all ages, so 40 is definitely not "old". Regarding whether or not it's worth it, my advice would be to watch the Creation site and get a Sunday confirmed seat as close up as possible on the right side of the center aisle as you face the stage. Also, I know it adds up but, I think that you should splurge for a photo with Jensen/Jared or both. It gives you the opportunity to see the star(s) close up and get an arm around you. That's the thing that makes the con worthwhile. Autograph opportunities are no longer available to those who don't purchase a weekend package, so it really comes down to the photo. You have to buy the seat and photo right away because they sell out very quickly. Let me know what you decide. :)

I'd agree with all this, especially getting a seat on the right side. I find that because the band/Rob is on that side, the guests end up facing that way a lot. Plus, Rob!!:)

In my opinion, the value in buying a package depends on three things: Do you want J2 autographs? Gold/Silver are the only way to get them now. Do you want the SNS and a reserved seat included? You need a pass. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the separate tickets are general admission only. And most importantly, do you care about the rest of the cast? For me, I enjoy all the panels (granted, some more than others) so having the three or four day (Vegas) pass was worth it to me. And of course the only way to see the J2 Gold panel is with a Gold pass. I have had good luck twice buying a ticket second hand (via the Facebook group for the particular con) - paid the regular price, but I specified wanting first few rows and got lucky both times. But if you don't care about being up close, or the Friday/Saturday guests, then a Sunday only ticket isn't that pricey, and you can still buy photo ops. I only have one J2 sandwich and one solo JA, and both were worth every penny to me for that one-time experience.

Wow, that was actually uncomfortable to watch.  I'm not sure whether Jared was still drunk, or what the issue was, but I've never seen him like that before.  I have to assume it wasn't anything more than that because I don't think Jensen would have gotten so frustrated if Jared were struggling for any other reason.  He really didn't look happy when Jared hit him and spilled his coffee.  It'll be interesting to see if he sobered up a bit for the afternoon panel.

You guys are making me want an op!!!

I am keeping an eye on tickets every day. Good info on buying second-hand if necessary. With Gold you essentially get two J2 panels instead of just one? Is that right?

I think  would like to hear from a few other cast members - probably Saturday/Sunday would be our plan. A Sunday only with photo op sounds in my realm. I just worry they would sell out before then?

Thanks everyone for humoring my con questions!

My advice - buy the photo-op(s) as soon as you can. J2 solos sell out pretty quickly, as do the J2 sandwiches, though sometimes they make more those available. You don't need to have a con ticket to buy the ops, but you do need one to use them - in other words, admission into the con. So you can get the ops ahead and buy your ticket once you decide. With Gold you get J2 autographs, usually 6-8 others, your reserved seat for the SNS and the Gold panel on Sunday (in addition to the regular afternoon panel). I don't know how things will change in 2018 without Mark, so you should check the site for details.

It's a jiggly version.  Fingers crossed we get a better video (although my total appreciation of fans that video for us).

Considering Jensen announced to the world via twitter that he had gotten a tattoo, I'm very surprised no one's mentioned it.

Jared was fine the rest of the day.  It was a LOVELY con.  Jeffery Dean Morgan is the anti-Negan. Up close he's a very kind man, looks you straight in the eye and hugs in a wonderfully sincere way.

The panels are up on video so you can see what people there got to see/here. All my questions were asked in private sessions where sharing is not allowed.  The autographs & photo ops were great. They are now doing Misha/Jared and Misha/Jensen ops as well.  Next con is 2019 in DC so I'll be saving up my pennies til then.

ETA: On-line wank did not filter back (as far as I could tell) to the folks in the room.  Yes, Jared was goofy & tired but not drunk (and I was front row).  Jensen was in a delightful mood.  I'm really glad they mentioned how hard this time of year is (due to 5 months of non-stop shooting).  They worked til 2am on Saturday morniig and had an early call on Monday morning they had to fly back to.  Brutal hours.

Nice to hear first hand from someone who was there.  All the tweets I've seen from fans seem to indicate they had a great time.

Usually when you are at a con, it`s never as super-wanky as it sometimes appears on social media. I was at the Con with the "flying fangirl" way back when, which was Jensen`s first Con appearance, and while it certainly made waves even there, it was WAY bigger on social media.

As for the tweets by Danneel and the OTH cast members right now, I`m kind of shocked how much of those stories are coming out. That it happened in so many places, for so many years and to such a heavy degree. Wow.
