benteen October 23, 2017 Share October 23, 2017 (edited) The Dr. Martin staring obliviously so that Donna will go away bit was gold, along with the cap itself. Edited October 23, 2017 by benteen 3 Link to comment
GoRunner October 23, 2017 Share October 23, 2017 I should not have listened to this while trying to eat breakfast. It was either choke to death or spit out partly chewed breakfast food. Oh the humanity! Ew, the cleanup. Shoutout to Brian Krakow!! ? Brian was at least more sympathetic, being a 15-year-old nerd who got an erection simply from Delia brushing against his hand. There’s no excuse for brandon’s behavior... Or for Brandon. 1 Link to comment
Cekrypton1 October 23, 2017 Share October 23, 2017 I've not listened yet so I don't know if this was mentioned, but holy shit that is some excellent family resemblance casting w/r/t Joey and his family. Link to comment
TeeVee329 October 23, 2017 Share October 23, 2017 (edited) This was a good episode for Val - she looked great, banged Smith Jerrod, got some cash, dropped Brandon in some shit with almost no effort, and didn't have to help with the sand bags. Win win win win win! Is the aunt Felice is cruising with Gina's mom? Edited October 23, 2017 by TeeVee329 3 Link to comment

WhosThatGirl October 23, 2017 Share October 23, 2017 Yeah.. seriously about the vacations this college that the gang goes to, when do they actually “school”? I do love that’s Smith Jarrod is always an actor, this show, SATC, brothers and sisters, totally type casting?Ugh. I legit groaned at the “boys will be boys “ line so topical right now.Val is the greatest at the “stuff” isn’t she? Her “bye” and oh crap face is almost as good as when she dumped picking up her Mom at the airport on Brandon while he brayed about how nice her mom is. Link to comment
txhorns79 October 23, 2017 Share October 23, 2017 So to make clear, Joey and his father are in some kind of mullet growing contest? 5 Link to comment

CurlyATX October 26, 2017 Share October 26, 2017 I guess this goes back to the guys I dated in college, but I never would have thought about going with a BF to visit his parents in another country. That seemed way too "grown up" for me. Even when my husband (then bf) asked me to go with him to visit parents for Christmas I thought it was really weird- and I was 24. Is it weird that Tracey is pushing so freaking hard? If I saw a ring and had only been dating for a few months I would have run away screaming. As for David's horniness... I know we've brought this up before BUT I'm bored at work so I'm chiming in... every girl I knew in college who "wasn't going to have sex" did seem to understand the need to let her BF have a release so to speak. It goes back to the developmental delay of Donna that she doesn't seem to think it's weird to make out for hours and then just go away. Not that SHE needs to do anything, but maybe David can run to the bathroom for 30 secs and not be such a douche. Final side note, I've been re-listening to the podcasts and came across one where Dave was forced to be an active participant (PM5K and Cucumber slicing were the takeaways of that episode). He needs to do that again. Link to comment
Jax7917 October 26, 2017 Share October 26, 2017 Yeah but Donna being a virgin just didn't seem realistic to me based on her personality and the way she dressed. EVERYTHING was hanging out ALL the time. She was portrayed as a saint but I just didn't buy it. This is random but it also never made sense to me that Valerie had sex with Ray a few times, yet Donna was never mad at her for it. When she confronted Ray and he was like "well why aren't you mad at Val for this?" And her response was "because val is MY FRIEND"..and she got over it within a minute... oh ok, great friend you got there Don 1 Link to comment

I mean.. they were friendly at best. I pointed out during the podcast that Donna was never even openly hostile to Val the way Kelly was so I never got why she decided to hook up with Ray to hurt her. I never got that Val liked him that much, it seems like she did to mess with Donna who was just kind of nothing to her, not mean and not her friend really. But yeah this is a point to made. Jax7917 October 26, 2017 Share October 26, 2017 Agreed. Donna was always so nice to Val. I think Val as a character just always wanted what she couldn't have (Dylan, Brandon, Colin, Ray etc.)... Whenever the guy was into her (David, Noah, Tom etc..) she wasn't interested. It didn't hold her attention. In fact she was only into Noah once Donna went after him. But you're right. I never bought that she actually liked Ray and I'm not sure why she would hate donna so much lol 1 Link to comment
CurlyATX October 27, 2017 Share October 27, 2017 If the writers actually cared, they could have had a lot of deep stuff with Val- what her abuse did and how it affected her relationships. But the show sorta made her into a watered down Amanda Woodward. And if I remember, there were even a few times that Amanda debased herself with random guys that didn't make sense (wasn't there a younger guy who was married to Sydney for a day and then she died). 2 Link to comment

Yeah agreed. They made Val just do mean things for no reason. One second she is paying Ginger $5,000 to scam the group so they can see what a hero she is and befriend her for it, and the next second she's doing something to blackmail one of her "friends". made no sense 1 Link to comment
Miss Bones November 26, 2018 Share November 26, 2018 Kind of funny that the kid that plays Joey also plays a runaway on 7th Heaven. He gets adopted by the Colonel & Ruth. I hate myself for knowing that. 1 Link to comment
