I call Fucking Shenanigans!!! My area or affiliate or whatever the fuck they're called didn't bleep out the F-bombs two episodes ago because it was Charlie, Gus Dulé saying them!??

Because last night, they bleeped Harvey telling Mike something someone was trying to "fuck" him over.

And Mike just needs his ass to be fired.

And I think I know what Alex's sekrit is: he put money into that prison that has been killing the convicts!???

Let's not bother to get into the ridonkulousness of him charging in, arguing with Mike and Oliver, while the judge just sat there. And storming right out again.???????

Just what work is keeping Donna working late? She's not a legal secretary anymore. Doodling? Listing things she can whine about that "As COO" she can do this? Or that?

Me:??????????

at the supposed sexual harassment "case" when Stephanie just wanted an apology? Please.

And yep, the case went to shit because Mike was working on it, and Mike didn't just play the victim, he bitched about Alex letting everybody know.  Alex was 100% right to do that, and despite Mike's bitching, he did come to Mike first when he had Mike sign that statement.  What, doe Mike think he should be warned 12,000 times in private before anybody makes it public?  Loved that Harvey, Alex, and Rachel all called him out on his shit.  They've really taken up a whole lot of notches these past few seasons with writing Mike as a narcissist.  Nothing's ever his fault, he's always the victim, and if he does something terrible, it's perfectly fine.

Mike has become so unlikable. I still ship Harvey/Donna, but I also wondered what the hell she was doing 'til midnight'? Really? SO MUCH WORK. Did they even HAVE a COO before? We never met him/her? Who was doing all that work before that title was created for Donna? So dumb.

Where's Gretchen?

I hate that this stupid ass show made me Google to find out what a COO at a law firm does. And lookit: just another name for an OFFICE MANAGER!

"handle computer software issues, facilities department issues or marketing initiatives,"

Basically, letting the lawyers do "lawyer stuff" and whatever stuff the human resources department doesn't do, the COO does. Or freeing up the Managing Partner to do "lawyer stuff."

Sexual Harassment isn't strictly about sex. Louis ranted and raved how no one would want to have children with her and attacked her...femininity. That blonde lawyer (whose name I can't remember) even told him he didn't have to make a pass at Stephanie to be guilty of sexual harassment.

It probably would have come out in the deposition that her firing was unfair. Just throw out the real law and real life, because this is Suits after all.

I felt bad for Donna. She still cares for Harvey, more than she admits she does. I wonder if they will get together when the series comes to an end. Am I the only one that doesn't like Harvey's doctor girlfriend? I don't see any chemistry between, plus she rubs me the wrong way somehow.

1) I understand where Mike is coming from and I support his decision. His loyalty is to Harvey and his firm and Nathan and the clinic. And if he can manage to help both, then he should!

3) I can’t stand when Rachel talks in this authoritative deep voice. It’s like a parent talking to a child. It’s like she is almost talking down to him.

But that's just it-he CAN'T. It's called conflict of interest. Their paying client is the company that is in charge(?) built the prison. Mike's duty is to them. And since he wants to do these type of pro bono cases, then he should have stayed working at the clinic. He can't have it both ways. Screwing his firm's client, even when they're scum, and using the resources at his firm to do it. Pick a side, Mike. Not to mention his signing the LEGAL document agreeing to drop the case and not get involved. Which lasted a day. Then screwing his pro bono client out of a good settlement because HE wanted to go after the prison. And look what happened.

As for Rachel talking to Mike as if he's a child? Well, he's been acting like one and clearly talking to him like an adult wasn't working because he refused to keep his word, lied to Harvey and said it would be okay as long as Harvey didn't find out. Some hubris and arrogance there. And guess what? Harvey did find out. And still Mike doesn't get it.

Katrina.  And yes, Louis said Stephanie wasn't attractive enough for anyone to want to have babies with. If he hadn't said those things, I think she would have no recourse to being fired for cause, as she did disobey direct instructions.

Someone needs to as his moral compass is skewed.  This is Mike's fault, not Rachel's.  However, it doesn't make for a good relationship.  His new lies are affecting her on both a professional and personal level.  She already knows from the "big secret" that he is an accomplished liar.  I don't see how she can ever really trust him, or want to have children with him.  Don't set that wedding date yet.  Maybe she'll finally realize that her father had a point and that he's ultimately no good for her.

I don't like the doctor girlfriend (whose is so blah idk her name even), but she doesn't bug me.  Anyone is better than "I'M THE COO OF THIS FIRM."

Honestly, I uave never watched a show where I loathe so many characters.

Can we just watch Gina Torres and her amazing figure and wardrobe in Chicago instead of this nonsensical farce?

Agreed, GH.  But once the marriage/relationship has gotten to this point that one partner is acting like this withoit regard to the family or himself - the talking down only diminshes the relationship and surely won't change anything.  Probably time for her to get out, since he clearly just does whatever he wants.  He's a sicko, as he has proven over and over. (And I really enjoy all of your posts, GH!)

I just read that the finale could also be a backdoor pilot for a new show with Gina Torres coming in 2018!

I know. I've quit watching twice because of Harvey threatening to fire Mike over & over again.

I didn't realize Gina was getting her own series. Can't wait. She has the best wardrobe of any woman on TV.

All of this 1000 times.  Her clothes are amazing, and her hair always looks good.  Not sure about the premise of the show...I just hope Jed, Jett, Jeff or whatever his name was is not in it.

As for Suits, I don't even watch the episodes unless this board mentions there was a Jessica sighting.  Is it just me or has Rick Hoffman gained a lot of weight?

I am easily entertained:  I like those glass-walled offices with commanding views.  And the suits are neatsy-keen.
But the dialogue and scenarios...oy!  They appear to be written by high school sophomores.  Scathing, I know, but, well...I continue to watch!

High schoolers would be scared of getting in trouble with the teacher for using too much language.

Gina Torres looked scary thin this episode.  Usually she's just plain gorgeous and she still was but too thin.

If I were Rachel, I'd be giving serious thought as to whether I want to marry this guy who lies and says it's because of his personal moral compass and then drags everyone else down with him.

I'm really over the Harvey/Donna endless teasing.  It's like the EPs of this show were traumatized by the Moonlighting Curse, which isn't a real thing anyway.  They have drawn this out far far too long and it's just dead weight now.

The one good thing they did was make Donna COO so that she was no longer Harvey's underling.  She's more equal to him now, which is good because Donna being so smart and staying a secretary was ridiculous, but it's taken too long and been too repetitive.

The duties of a COO

Quote

A Chief Operating Officer (COO), also called the chief operations officer, is a position that can be one of the highest-ranking executive positions in an organization, comprising part of the "C-Suite". The COO is responsible for the daily operation of the company,[1] and routinely reports to the highest ranking executive, usually the chief executive officer (CEO). The COO is usually the second in command at the firm, especially if the highest ranking executive is the Chairman and CEO.

Unlike other C-Suite positions, which tend to be defined according to commonly designated responsibilities across most companies, the COO job tends to be defined in relation to the specific CEO with whom he/she works, given the close working relationship of these two individuals. In many ways, the selection of a COO is similar to the selection of a Vice President or Chief of Staff of the United States: power and responsibility structures vary in government and private regimes depending on the style and needs of the President or CEO. Thus, the COO role meets individual expectations and changes as leadership teams adjust.

Despite the functional diversity associated with the role of COO, there are some common functions the COOs usually perform:

At the direction of the CEO and Board of Directors, marshaling limited resources to the most productive uses with the aim of creating maximum value for the company's stakeholders

Developing and cascading the organization's strategy/mission statement to the lower-ranking staff, and implementing appropriate rewards/recognition and coaching/corrective practices to align personnel with company goals

Planning by prioritizing customer, employee, and organizational requirements

Maintaining and monitoring staffing, levels, Knowledge-Skills-Attributes (KSA), expectations and motivation to fulfill organizational requirements

Driving performance measures for the operation (including a consideration of efficiency versus effectiveness), often in the form of dashboards convenient for review of high level key indicators

Hahahaha! Another lobby ambush! You'd think PSL employees would be afraid to leave the building most days, or would find a backdoor out.

"Yes, front desk? This is Mike Ross at Pearson, Spector, Litt. I'm about to leave for home- there wouldn't by chance be anyone waiting in the lobby to yell at me, would there? Oh, there is? Never mind. I think I'll go through another couple of these case files. Thank you."
