Piff!!!!!  I love his subtle and twisted humor.

I can't complain too much about Ameriker's choices.  I was surprised that Colin even made it to the DD three and I was very surprised he won the vote.  I honestly don't understand why the gospel group even fell into the DD three.  Of course, there are some sinister explanations, but they are most certainly not appropriate to this forum.

I was pleased to hear the Diavilo leader speak of already playing in Vegas.  Fine by me if they win the season.

Jon Dorenbos was aight and it was really great to see him again.

The first semi is incredibly weak.  Darci would about have to cut Tyra not to advance.

Wow, was I wrong with my predictions..lol! Obviously I see things a little bit different than the rest of America. A "lil sum sum about yesterday's 7:

7. Sara and Hero - (Sigh!!)...well I don't think America is going to suddenly stop liking dogs, so unfortunately I think Sara might make it to the finals,...seriously! Look, I think her performances are sloppy and all over the place and I also didn't like her having to plead to the judges to get a second chance.

6. Chase - I just don't like the way this little dude sings. I don't like his style or "fast talking"! Like I said, another Grace Vanderwaal!

5. Colin - He didn't have his best night Tuesday. I was surprised he advanced.

4. DaNell Daymon - Don't get me wrong, I think this choir sings great. I just didn't like their song choice. Even though I didn't like the song choice, that's not the reason they won't won AGT. They're a "choir"! A Choir is never going to win this show!

3. Mike Yung - I guess he deserved to go through. Too me, Mike is just there, very forgettable!

2. Kechi - She sings beautiful but what's going to happen if she goes up against the likes of Mandy Harvey or Angelica Hale? Remember Darci Lynne? I'm picking Darci to win it all! Are people going to vote for the act or the backstory? Stay tuned...

1. Diavolo - What a spectacular performance Tuesday night. They've done something different each time they've performed. Can't wait to see what they do next!

I was beyond thrilled that Sara & Hero (with a little help from Loki) got as far as they did and are now in the semifinals!  I was really surprised because I am so cynical sometimes.  Even if they don't take the prize, Sara will know that she's still a success and has no where to go but up.  I noticed when she and Hero were standing in the 3-way introduction, that the audience cheered loudest for them!  Yay!  (And yes, I voted my maximum votes for S&H.)

Oh me too, I am all about this dog act, I was so upset when the other dog act got shot down, they were adorable.  Give me a crooner singer, an impressionist, a comic, to make me happy, of which there are none, sorry Preacher, so I have to go with the dog act to win, or the choir, and I hate choirs, but THEY ROCK!!! Oh oh oh, I forgot, I do really like that male "diva" sort of singer....he's got pipes.  Okay, I'll shut up now.  Yahooooo Hero!!!! Dogs Rule!

So of course it was a singing act that was given a second chance, because you can never have too many singers, right Simon? What a waste of a second chance, as they were clearly not going to get voted in, and I would be they came  in last.

Danll and his big  choir have been my favorite musical act all season, and it's ridiculous they needed to get saved. Mike Yung I'm okay with, because he's paid his dues. I'm so bored with the precious little snowflakes like Chase. The only thing that teens on this show ever sing about is their sensitivity and pain and I just don't care,

The magicians from the past are a reminder of what this show used to be about before it became just another singing contest, broken up by the occasional variety act. Thanks Simon.

I kind of get what you're saying. It is not your typical polished dog act, and I can see why she probably mostly does kids parties. On the other hand, since this show long ago stopped being about who how the most talent (see Vanderwall, Grace) and is really a popularity content, what the hell? Why not vote for the nice young woman and her cute dogs who live in an SUV? (Especially as the woman really seems like she needs it).

Everything about Mel B for the past few shows screams "I need help."

Agree, especially to my bolded parts of your quote.  I am more about Sara & Hero than you are, but at least you're on board.  I believe Sara does more than kids' parties; she is a professional trainer.  I think the traveling in her SUV across North America is part of her story, and I really don't know her financial situation.  She may have embarked on an adventure and is not destitute.  It would be hard to find pet-friendly accommodations for three dogs too (they usually limit to one).  It may be easier for her to drive her SUV than an RV.  I don't know but I wish her the best!

When I said she needed it, I was thinking about emotionally rather than financially. Maybe her constant talk about how her family rejected her is an angle the producers told her to push, but there seems to be some genuine pain there, and something fragile about her. I think that's partially what people are responding to. I think it's what Simon responded to on her first appearance, and why he pushed for her after she originally didn't get picked by the judges. And why he continues to push for her. (That, and his love of dogs).

To be honest this weeks episode was meh. I'm frankly still ticked off over Puddles being ousted while less talented singers (Chase, Celine, Angelica) moved on. I guess Puddles needed to invent a tragic back story for the sympathy vote and a bigger push from the judges. I'm not surprised Oscar is gone he's kind of a one trick pony. Bello should still be in this competition too imho. I'd much rather watch him then that Diavolo or Colin Cloud. At this point I can't see anyone but Darci winning the whole thing. She's got the young innocent girl angle, the ventriloquist angle, and for a 12yr old her skills are incredible. She's way better than that Grace Vander wall.

That's what I think is one of the many problems of AGT, the judges. People are going to vote however they like, for whomever they want, and for whatever reason it may be. The judges however, should be or at least try to be more objective. Simon loves dogs, so any act that involves dogs he is going to put through which I think it's wrong. He should look at the act and I don't think he's doing that. You could see it in his expression. Like MelB. whenever an act that involves body type torture like knife swallowing, slicing a watermelon on someone's stomach..etc, she automatically discards them and says 'no". In fact, she doesn't even look at the act! MelB may not like that act but she should follow some criteria or try to be objective to determine if the act is worthy of advancing. Simon should take a step back and set aside his love for dogs and really think about the act, in this case Sara & Hero. This is just my opinion of course. :)

What she's lacking is a maudlin or tragic backstory.  As this season has demonstrated ad nauseum, the acts are scored on a point system where, the more horrifying your backstory, the more points you are awarded.  I won't be surprised if this is the first season where the winner is chosen entirely on the basis of their backstory.  Yes, it's always been a huge and nauseating piece of this show, but this year it's so out of control it's almost unwatchable.  IIRC, in previous seasons someone like Kechi might have her whole backstory told at the audition, and maybe in one more episode.  If mentioned after that point, it's only been by way of introduction from Nick Cannon, such as: "At age 16, she nearly died in a fatal plane crash that claimed the lives of 107 passengers.  Now she's competing in the semi-finale of AGT.  Ladies and gentlemen...here's Kechi".

Now we hear nearly every detail of every tragic backstory on every episode.  Someone like Darci is disadvantaged by this.  It will be interesting to see how it all turns out.  If America votes for Kechi as their winner, we will have nothing but the most horrifying backstories on every season of AGT, and the producers will throw away all pretense that AGT has anything to do with recognizing and rewarding talent.

I'm shocked that Colin Cloud ended up high enough that he got into the Dunkin Save, not to mention that he won it. I was fairly neutral on his act the previous night (it was definitely a little long and had too much going on, but there are just so many singers this season that for the sake of variety I tend to favor him), but I really didn't think it was something America would be into. It's nice to have little surprises like that, anyways.

And thank you, judges, for putting DD and Greater works in over Angelina. So far she's the only Golden Buzzer to be eliminated and I'm not surprised, I have no idea how that even happened in the first place. Even Heidi didn't seem overenthusiastic about her, more like she had to stick by her GB because it would be kinda shitty if she didn't.

Awesome to see Mat Franco, Piff, and Jon Dorenbos again!

I hear what you're saying (and I agree, this is not the place) but one thing I constantly find myself thinking about AGT is that for all its faults, lack of diversity is not one of them. Every episode truly looks like America: people from different places, of different backgrounds, many who immigrate here for better opportunities, etc. In the live shows, I never feel like acts aren't getting voted through because of, er, prejudices. It's actually really refreshing.

The good news is that "sob story" acts don't usually end up winners on this show and with this season being FULL of them, having someone like Darci is actually kind of refreshing.

She's the best young girl singer they've ever had on this show. And she does it with her mouth closed working a puppet! I'm always screaming about having a minimum age, but I don't see act this year who would deserve to win it over her. I'm incredibly underwhelmed by the top 21.

Does anybody think this show is a 'fit' for Tara Banks.  Ugg.  She is so bad hosting this show I have pretty much given up watching.  What's wrong with her?  I feel like she's auditioning instead of hosting.  Bring back Nick Cannon.  At least he was kind of funny and had some heart!

I haven't noticed anyone posting love or praise for Tyra as the host of AGT, quite the opposite, so you're not alone.

While Nick Cannon's fashion choices got a little whacky in his last two season - turbans, high-water pants with no socks, etc- at least he didn't show up mostly naked on this primetime family show as Tyra does.  Every time Tyra bends down to hug a child, she's perilously close to having a boob fall out of her see-through lace covered swimsuit.

Tyra continuously saying "y'all" gets on my nerves.  She's from Inglewood, California!  Another thing she does is oftentimes when she finally gets to the name of the act she's introducing, with her over-the-top voice antics and cutesy posturing, she says the act's name real low like an anticlimax, so you can't even really hear it.

OMG you people are reading my mind!! Tyra Banks practically ruins the show for me. Agree about her wardrobe choices and especially her over-the-top vocal antics - everything Jeanne222, SnarkyTart and CelticBlackCat said. Thanks for saying it so well! And she can be SO condescending- like last week, when she was giving the number to call, instead of just reminding everyone that they are 866 numbers and not 800 numbers, she says it in this scolding voice and then says "so don't get it wrong or your vote won't count." Everything about her bugs me - from the way she looks to the way she talks. Glad I'm not the only one.
