Whitney isn't going to want to stand up and waddle to the door to let someone in, so her BFFs have probably let themselves in for quite a while now.

With Buddy gone and Donna presumed to pay for rent with services rendered, Tal may be the answer to Whitney's mortgage problem, in which case he might as well take over Donna's chores too so he can have the downstairs extra bedroom.

I think it's because he always seemed to have more of a life - a real job and dates and boyfriends, and his own house that he could afford.  It just boggles my mind that he would give up his own house and privacy to live in her filthy flophouse with the cats and dirty dishes and constant Whit presence.  Of course I could see him doing it short term for a bigger paycheck but for real?  I don't believe most of what this show is selling anyway so I guess it falls in that category.  (And my friends and I enter each other's houses without knocking too :)

I'm taking my response to the Whitney thread.

How would she fit in a kayak?

There are sit on top kayaks that don't have cockpits. It was probably a tandem kayak which is usually what inexperienced paddlers are in - especially in the ocean. I spotted a paddle in the background.

It occurs to me that all the exercising in the gym starting early this year is that PMG told her she would not be able to "perform" in AK at her weight & girth at the time. I've always thought HI was a wakeup call for Twit. Perhaps it was one for the producers as well.

I remember the A/C window unit.  I just can't imagine it keeps the entire attic comfortable enough.

We rented a house this summer and my daughter has the attic room as her bedroom. There is no central air conditioning and it's a big attic. There are two windows, each with a window A/C unit and if we run them both and keep the door closed, that room feels like a meat locker (just the way my daughter likes it).

Window units can be had for cheap - like $100. If Whitney can't afford to replace one, she's in deep financial trouble for a homeowner.

I think at the time she was just pissed bc Buddy wasn't up to date on his rent & this was her mean way of punishing him.

Twit's "wealth" -- or lack thereof -- has been a continuing source for speculation here & even in her own SM pages. Most of the time she seems to spend with great abandon, e.g., ordering all her meals rather than cooking. Other times she seems to pinch pennies.

I'm inclined to think that 6 yrs of a TV show, even on a cheesy channel like TLC,  would give her a nice little nest egg if she has been at all able to put some of her income away for a rainy day, such as the end of MBFFL.

Yea, even if she orders ALL her meals in, and buys say 4 of those Venti frappe things a day, that can't be more than $100 per day ($3,000 a month). I don't know about her show, but I remember that some of the "reality" shows ( Jon & Kate +8, Little People etc) compensate at about $20,000 per episode.

Buddy has now made his way to AK & this IG photo has the fans going nuts: "Are you two back together?" "When will y'all realize you should be together?" "You make such an adorable couple." Ad nauseum.

The only intelligent comment was: "Where's Heather?"

LOL I think this might be the pic I took of the TV when Whit made her hideous "Piggy's DEAD!" crying face. Classic.

How come in all the pics Whitney posts of her kissing someone, her lips are puckered so far forward that she just looks gross? Same with that pic where she is kissing her dad on the lips, she is just puckered out SO FAR and it looks absolutely ridiculous.

I would think so too, but if she had a real job on top of this she'd be in much better shape. I bet she is barely getting by. She has what is probably a $50/day eating habit </DrNow> and if she has as much discipline with her finances as she does with anything else in her life, she's SCREWED.

How do these food delivery services, like Grub Hub, work any way? Are you billed monthly for the # of service calls? Or is it a flat monthly rate, no matter how many calls you make? Or do you pay at the door for each delivery?

I imagine it's pretty expensive to have food delivered daily, plus tip to the delivery person. Then add in her 3-4 daily Starbucks stops. I'm thinking her daily eating habit might be closer to $100 a day, @ClareWalks, rather than $50.

Oh that's hilarious.  I've never seen a man show less interest in a woman throwing herself at him.

Grub Hub & Eat24 just serve as a one-stop shop for takeout.  You chose pickup or delivery, and then you can search for restaurants for your area.  If you want something specific, you can search by that as well.  When you place your order, your debit/credit card is charged through them, and you can add a tip directly on the card or do cash at the door.  There is no fee, and after ordering once, they will send an email each week with a coupon code for $2 off a $15 order.  It's a great way to try out new places that might be a hassle to get to.  Just using a 3-mile radius for delivery, we get over 70 options.  We primarily use Eat24 (they are under the same company, but they don't necessarily have the same options).  Think of it as Priceline or Expedia, except it's for food.

Great info; thanks so much! It's not at all what I was thinking.

One Q: how does the "pickup" option work? Where would you go to pick up your order?

Link to comment

Happy to help!

If you chose pickup, you just go to the restaurant that you ordered from.  GH & E24 serve as the go between you and the restaurant.  You can order from their websites, and they each have their own app.  The one thing I have noticed is many places don't do online ordering from their website, but they will do it from GH or E24.  We have tried many places that we normally wouldn't have, and their customer service is great.

There is also UberEats, which is basically using Uber as your food delivery service. You order through the app. A friend of mine works as a driver sometimes, she can basically work whenever she needs/wants to, no set schedule. Her husband usually goes with her, for safety.

It would not surprise me if she expected some chub rub from Buddy in exchange for rent. She probably thought she get some action from him as a roomie, until Heather showed up.

She was gleeful when Buddy dumped her, I almost expected her to say in one of her talking heads is because Buddy has always been in love with her or some BS like that

This reminds me of a joke we heard from almost every Alaska tour guide we ever encountered.  When asked how fast a bear can run (in case the group encountered a bear on a hike), we were told:  "You don't have to be able to outrun the bear.  You just have to be able to outrun the slowest person in this group."

And so . . . when we go back to Alaska next year, I want Twitney to be part of our tour group.  I'm 71, slightly overweight, and with an artificial knee.  But I could STILL out"run" her.

Well just be careful, would not want you mauled by Whitney if by accident you cut in front of her in the buffet line

I've seen too many "Whitneys" on cruise ships.  We NEVER go near the buffet.  It ruins our appetite to watch these people eat as though each meal is going to be their last . . . and it's really gross because they don't seem to realize that they can make as many trips as they wish.  They pile everything on one plate.

What bugs me is when they cut ahead in line and even do a bit of elbowing when they are in line as if the person ahead of them will take all the food.

I really wish we had a mole on board the NBSAS to see what happens at the buffet.

It wasn't a kayak at the iceberg. It was a rubber lifeboat rowed by a guide with Twit, Tal & Todd aboard. Her latest IG video shows that.

The one that she's titled "Alasker 2018?" I guess we have a new Whitney-ism. Did she go to the clurb in Alasker? With her bishes?

No, they think that if they make only one trip, people will marvel at how little they're eating, but if they make multiple trips, it would be obvious.

There's an OLD vid (maybe 5 years ago?) on one of her FB pages of her doing what is pretty much a porn dance. You can readily see how much smaller she was than now --- she actually has a waistline. She still doesn't move her feet though. Just stands in one spot and grinds.

Trashy.

Is that the one that was shot from behind? I seem to recall that it was filmed after she had lost the famous hundred lbs. AND it was also filmed in her brother's room. There is some debate whether she was dancing for her brother, or, if he was filming, but it seems a little skeevy to me for her to pick that room.

Yes. Didn't know it was her brother's room. When did she lose 100# ? That sounds about right --- she looks to be in the 270# range in it.... maybe 300.

I'm sure one of our historians who have better memories for dates can give more details. She lost 100 lb while living at home after returning from Korea. I imagine she gained weight after the person for whom she moved to Korea "broke the engagement".  She worked out with Will and restricted her calorie intake and it was such a harrowing experience that she vowed to never lose weight again. And, guess what happened? She gained 100+ and got a tv show.

Just looking through her Instagram and she is at all my favorite places. Ruining them all. I lived there for 16 years and she has just spoiled all my great memories. Mooses Tooth is amazing beer and pizza and she is in Girdwood and Spencer Glacier...ugh.

We saw a guy with a large platter, piled end to end with everything except salad (he even had jello on it).  It was at least 6 inches high, and his last step was to pour chicken gravy over the entire thing.  Trust me, if he'd gone through the line multiple times with smaller plates, I would probably have not even noticed him.  But the sight of his plate . . . complete with jello . . . covered with gravy is something I will NEVER forget.  LOL.

I have been wondering if she will order room service so that no one will have the opportunity to document what she actually eats.  There are two of us, after a day in port we usually order room service off the menu from the main dining room when we return. The photos are illustrative of what we had for dinner one night.  (I think it was the day that we kayaked 9 miles in the ocean.)

One of Twit's most recent AK videos features her splashing along a creek on an ATV. Braying loudly as soon as she comes into camera range, of course.

I just can't stand the braying, most recently in the gym heading for the bell & at the lake jetskiing. Her fans compliment her on her "infectious laugh." They're right. I get a case of the hives every time I hear it.

At least now we know how she could make all those nature pictures: She drove there on a dirtbike.

Had me fooled for a second that she really walked a yard or two. She lost a few pounds too. I think maybe 13 pounds or so. Could even be 15! Gonna have an eye on that. If it'll become more I might suspect weight loss surgery. I mean, she's the one that makes 8 eggs for breakfast (no joke, you guys remember?) so I highly doubt she adopted some healthy eating habits.
