I don't get why Mickey was so perturbed by Father Zack in the first place.

Father Zack didn't conform to Mickey's notion of priests as stuffy, boring old men.  That created a maddening cognitive dissonance.

Is Jimmy now back as a regular? What was the point of making it look like he was off the series, just to bring him back?  In the episode where he returned I thought it would be interesting with the "new" Jimmy, but now he's just the same old Jimmy again.

They did it just to screw with us.  There was about 6 weeks between Jimmy's departure and return.  It had to have been a plan from the beginning.

In the interview here http://www.denofgeek.com/us/tv/the-mick/270279/the-mick-creators-on-chip-s-new-father-and-trying-to-enrage-their-audience, it sounded like they did it just to mess with the audience. But, I think it ended up working and making Jimmy a more sympathetic character. Maybe it's because I like Alba, Ben, and Mickey more than Jimmy, but some of the social media rage was amusing to me. There were people saying they would stop watching the show because Jimmy was gone and I read a few conspiracy theories blaming Kaitlin for getting him kicked off because "she was jealous he was funnier than her".

Mickey teaches Chip and his friend how to gamble, and they end up losing a large sum of money. In an attempt to win the money back, Mickey uses Sabrina's new relationship with the Junior National Women's Soccer team captain to place a bet on one of their games. Meanwhile, Jimmy becomes overly invested in the soccer team's success.

Maybe it's the constant start and stop of the scheduling and all the multi-week breaks, but I'm starting to lose interest in this show. The first season has been so much better and this is starting to meander. First season seemed to have a clear arc with her dealing with having to parent the three kids and the class dynamic between them, while this season has been all over the place. I still love Kaitlin and she's really funny on the show (biggest laugh for me last night was her facial expression when she was trying to look at Dylan's father credit card number). The rest of the characters I'm just starting to find grating at this point. Ben barely gets anything to do this season and I do find Jimmy/Alba funny, but their scenes the last few weeks haven't done anything for me.

Ben for the win, 5 seconds of screen time and he wins the episode. Using an old disabled man as a chair is next level sociopathy. Normal people would just grab a chair.
The A, B and C plot lines were pretty mediocre.

I never have any idea of their financial situation from episode to episode and it doesn't appear the writers much care.

The only good part of this ep was the Jimmy arc, which just kept on getting crazier and crazier. For one thing, the comedy there was better written than in the other stories. But also, as usual, Jimmy sells the dumb, crazy comedy. Even when he's punching it out with a bunch of girls, I was just laughing that the show went there. Meanwhile, Alaba torturing the Colonel was just uncomfortable.

I will say this is much better than her fellow Sunny actor Glenn Howerton's attempt to branch out into a new sitcom.  AP Bio is almost unwatchable.

If The Colonel is comatose like that, why is he in a chair instead of a bed?

Glenn is trying his best, but AP Bio is trash. I think it's more on the writers than Glenn. Most of the creative team behind AP Bio is involved with Saturday Night Live, while The Mick uses a lot of Always Sunny writers and directors. I find the ultra bright and shiny look of AP Bio kind of off-putting too. Maybe, it's because I'm so used to Glenn on Always Sunny.

I could see it staying for one more season cause Fox wants filler programing while they transition from the sale. The Mick is doing slightly better numbers than Brooklyn Nine-Nine was in the same timeslot and every Fox live action sitcom does atrocious ratings. Plus, with New Girl ending soon maybe they pair The Mick with another sitcom with a female lead.

Otoh, I could see it getting cancelled though as well. Fox will probably clean house on their live action sitcoms soon. The only one that seems like a sure thing to return next season is Last Man On Earth and that does terrible ratings but is close to syndication. Brooklyn Nine-Nine seems like a surefire goner since it costs more money than the other sitcoms to produce and it already reached syndication. Mick/Ghosted/LA To Vegas can go either way. Out of those three, I'm hoping The Mick stays.

The ratings for this are terrible. Its lead-in (LA to Vegas) gets better ratings than this show and it's brand new (and not exactly a ratings juggernaut itself) so that's a pretty bad sign. Fox doesn't have much to work with and is pretty forgiving but I'd be surprised if The Mick sees another season after this.

LA to Vegas was marketed as being by the creator of the hugely popular Modern Family.  I'm sure that helps a ton.

Best episode in a while, even if I found the Chip/Sabrina B-plot to be kind of weak. The main storyline was great and Mickey/Alba/Jimmy had some great moments. Kaitlin always shines when she gets to play manic and do her physical comedy and she had me cracking up here. The urine covered bedsheet completely covering her had me dying. I know they only have so many hours to work with the kid that plays Ben, but the show seems to have so much more urgency when he's involved in the main plot of the episode.

This was a good episode. I really like what they are doing with the Mickey/Sabrina relationship and Chip had me laughing for once.  Alba and the rat felt flat. I think the actress is funny, but they haven't given her much to work with in some episodes this season. I'd be fine if she just appeared in the opening scene and returned at the end of the episode since it would've gave more time to Mickey and Sabrina in prison.

The Mickey plot seemed like an Idiot Plot.  Once she got the tire iron, why did she then try to break into the back seat where Ben was?  I think she also did this with the rock.  Why didn't she get to the front seat, where the keys were?

I liked the catfishing story line.  I think I would have liked it more if Sabrina didn't know, but it had a satisfying conclusion.

Mickey's pretty stupid. Easy excuse, but this episode was basically a Kaitlin Olson physical comedy showcase so I didn't mind it.

I loved The Mickey stuff, but thought the rest of the episode was filler. The Jimmy plot line went nowhere for me. Catfish storyline was okay, but I was mostly waiting for them to get back to Mickey. I laughed really hard at Mickey hitting herself with the Rock, bashing the car, her reaction when the trunk opened, and her facial expressions/noises when she was climbing through the back seat.

Yeah, it was bullet proof glass

The order was switched. Last Week's episode was supposed to air before this one which is why Chip's fingers weren't mentioned. The Chernin brothers made the decision to switch it according to their Den Of Geek interview because they didn't want two Mickey/Jimmy having to save Ben from a predicament episodes airing back to back. So, they put The Night Off between The Accident and The Car. I wouldn't be surprised if Chip cutting his fingers off is never mentioned again. Alba did say "find your fingers and we'll go to the hospital" and this show has had Jimmy lose his ass/nuts and Mickey bleeding a gusher after getting a shard of glass pulled from her neck without it being mentioned again.

I can't nitpick this show since it's a live action cartoon with intentionally stupid characters that's more about the gags then realism. If Jimmy gets decapitated and then has a head by the next episode, it wouldn't surprise me at this point.

I wondered if they addressed it but my DVR had cut it off.    Oh for sure about the gags and it not being a realistic show - it crosses its fair share of boundaries for laughs.  I don't want to compare it to 'It's Always Sunny" just because it has Kaitlyn Olsen in it but it really is just like that show.

This is like the third or fourth time Chip has had a graphic, violent fantasy and I still believed he did it for a second before I remembered the dweeb probably doesn't have that kind of aim.

Ben is easily my favourite of the children so I'm glad he's been the focus for the past few episodes.

The episodes with Ben seem to have a higher sense of urgency than the other kids, since everyone deeply cares for him. The last few episodes have been better to me than the Chip or Sabrina focused ones for that reason. I was thinking the were underusing him and overusing Chip at the beginning of the season and now the show has been better since they've given Ben more to do and curbed Chip's screen time a bit. Chip has been a lot better since the storyline with his dad wrapped up.

I actually fell for that too - just for a minute. I was like "Whoa . . . I can't believe they went there, that's dark."

One thing I really get a kick out of is the interaction between Mickey and the school principal. His exasperation with her never gets old. I also got a kick out of her dissing the cop and him not understanding her reference to putting the apple in his mouth.

I had an economics teacher when I was a sophomore who had 4 fingers sliced off in a robbery. They were reattached but he was off work for months and when he came back his whole arm & hand was in a cast & a sling for the rest of the school year so I found Chip's finger situation so off-putting even though I strongly suspected at the end of the last episode that he would be totally intact and no mention of it would be made.

The stuff Micki does is so stupid, like stuffing her mouth with the principal's M&Ms and spinning his globe, yet hilarious. This show makes me laugh at the dumbest things.

I'll actually be heartbroken if this doesn't get another season. It's the only show that consistently delivers laugh out loud moments for me.

I think The Mick has a very good shot at getting renewed. The ratings are bad, but all the live action sitcoms on Fox do terrible ratings and The Mick actually did a better rating than LA To Vegas this week. It should be renewed and moved to Sundays in the Fall after the animated block. I imagine if they renew Brooklyn Nine-Nine, they'll do what they did with New Girl and give it a shorter season.

Following graduation, Mickey and Alba discover that Sabrina is having second thoughts about attending Yale. In their attempt to sway her decision, Alba finds herself heavily involved at a Yale Alumni reunion event. Meanwhile, Chip is keen on re-branding himself before he starts high school, so naturally he decides to throw a party to prove his status.

I missed the ending, after she got electrocuted.  What happened??

family is gathered around Sabrina in a hospital bed. She's intubated and bandaged, doctor says she almost died and that the force of the lightening blew off her big toe. No idea as to what kind of cognitive damage she might have suffered. Show ends.
