Primetimer December 22, 2016 Share December 22, 2016 There's a psycho on campus who seems to have escalated from stealing bikes to rape in broad daylight. Could the suspect be the creep we never met before this episode?! View the full article Link to comment
Primetimer December 22, 2016 Author Share December 22, 2016 But the show evidently thinks we're idiots, what with all the continuity errors and silent-movie overacting in 'Alone At The Top.' View the full article Link to comment
TeeVee329 December 22, 2016 Share December 22, 2016 Val opining that Donna is one of her best friends while in the midst of trying to blackmail her boyfriend back into her bed was kinda soapily delightful, no? I mean, it's silly, but if you're gonna do a cover of another Spelling character, there are worst choices than Amanda Woodward. I found this rapist storyline, particularly with Donna in the next episode, sooo creepy when I was younger. 4 Link to comment
Petunia13 December 22, 2016 Share December 22, 2016 I was like ugh and rolling my damn eyes cuz lots of female victimization story proppage going on. Except for the only 2 smart girls and they're written as / called sluts and that's their stories. 1 Link to comment
MissEwa December 22, 2016 Share December 22, 2016 I love Val but that off-the-shoulder/sheer tights/mid-height heel combo is not her friend. Although still 10000 times better that whatever is going on with Donna's hair in those PPAD scenes. It looks like Steve's curls mated with David's spider-leg bangs in a bottle of peroxide. Yikes! Molly Cule December 23, 2016 Share December 23, 2016 That sound you hear, it is my eyes also rolling. Rolling clean out my damn head for the next few seasons of the PPAD. As a 20-year bar/restaurant veteran, with several relatives in the same boat, the idea that a not-legal-drinking-age full-time student would also manage a nightclub...no. Just no. Especially Val's line in a few eps (Squash It) along the lines of "it pretty much manages itself!" I cannot. And no, NO ONE there to dance cares if it's run by a fluffy-haired turtlenecked old dude or a kid or friggin' Nat. While Service Industry Cop has her badge on, are we to believe that Rush Sanders was heretofore running the day-to-day ops of the PPAD? Was this in between rounds of golf with cheaty balls? Because Val seems to act as not only owner but GM once she's taken over. I have some strong feelings about all this. Oh my. Our gal Val's hair is showing signs of the full-blown Rachel it'll be in s6, ugh. 1 Link to comment
penguinnj December 23, 2016 Share December 23, 2016 I know I'm getting my seasons mixed up, but does Val, at some point, end up earning credit (in business courses, I guess) from her real life experience? I thought that was brought up once on a forum a couple of years ago when were trying to figure out if Val would up with a standard business degree. If anyone has better recollection please let me know. Link to comment

SoupThrower December 23, 2016 Share December 23, 2016 So basically Brandon admitted that his role is kind of useless. About time. Also is this the first time that David and Valerie actually talked to each other on screen? Link to comment
SoupThrower December 23, 2016 Share December 23, 2016 Oh Donna and Clare's hair. Oh Ray's mom is gross on several levels. David's hair looks like the most normal college look. When I was in college like not too long ago, that hairstyle was frequent in a way. At least when he was talking to Lenny and had that joke and he did get rid of the earrings. Link to comment
ZeroDiscipline December 23, 2016 Share December 23, 2016 What is a student body president for if not to advocate for students? Campus is in the midst of a bike-stealing epidemic. Seems to me this is exactly why the student body needs a president. He could at least request additional security around the bike racks, and perhaps funding for additional lighting. This is a much more appropriate problem for him to tackle than deciding if murderous dictators from third world countries should be allowed on campus. 5 Link to comment

SimplyLo December 24, 2016 Share December 24, 2016 I wish we could fast forward to the later seasons when Donna's hair is dark. That was my favorite look of hers and this horrible blonde/fried curl situation makes me cringe! And I don't remember Ray being so annoying, but can he just push Donna down the stairs and go away please? 3 Link to comment
penguinnj December 26, 2016 Share December 26, 2016 I remember those mid-heal shoes being a thing got a while in the 90, Basically once they jack hem up another 3 inches they are fine or you can have a lovely work pair of simpler shoes you don't like your heals to high, but like 1-2 inch heels are not sexy. I remember having a pair for something- and they did look exactly like grandma shoes- in Sophia sense Link to comment

Our gal Val's hair is showing signs of the full-blown Rachel it'll be in s6, ugh. THIS! Is this club just 18/over? How do they make money if people don't drink and they only charge $10? Money is always such a weird concept for the Hillsters. The beach front apartment costs just $300 per person (what?!), Dylan's amazing fortune fluctuates from $4M to hundreds of millions, Kelly and Brandon each have enough pocket cash to buy and rebuy a diamond ring. Val's payoff is how much?? Is it enough for her to buy a car, live in a hotel, and buy out PPAD? Jonesy got half of $8M, right? Did Val get an even $1M? Link to comment
CurlyATX December 28, 2016 Share December 28, 2016 My mom had those shoes and I remember my cousin liking them! In college I only wore Doc Martens or those awful cheap Chinese version of Mary Janes. I did have a few pairs of these insanely thick heeled shoes- one something like a Leprechaun would wear. I think when we get to the Gina days we will see those more. Sometimes I wonder how I ever got dates, given my outfits! 1 Link to comment
benteen December 28, 2016 Share December 28, 2016 For some reason, I remember the dollar amounts on this show. Kevin and Suzanne were said to have $7 1/2 million in the bank when Dylan got his money back. When Valerie had her money stolen by Parker Lewis, I believe the dollar amount in the bank was $100,000. Jax7917 December 30, 2016 Share December 30, 2016 I'm watching the episode now when Brenda finds out about Dylan and Kelly .. I just love when Kelly keeps defending herself saying " I dont want to be known as a bimbo " instead of " I can't believe what I did to my best friend.. wow maybe I am a bimbo after all "... what I find interesting and unrealistic about this whole situation is how Kelly is almost mad at Brenda for having dated Dylan for 2 years and how literally no one told Kelly that she was wrong for it .. is it me or is Even usually dramatic Brenda barely mad about it ? Also , I love the next day when Dylan isn't in school and Brenda is concerned if he's ok .. what ??! Link to comment

Also , I love the next day when Dylan isn't in school and Brenda is concerned if he's ok .. what ??! There is a part in later seasons (maybe 6?) where Kelly has an inner monologue where she admits that she did betray Brenda. I think she says something too about having dated her best friend's BF and then his best friend. But naturally, she justifies everything. I think viewers are supposed to be Team Kelly always. But it's interesting how when Dylan asked Emily Valentine out, Kelly basically tells her to back off and that Dylan/Brenda have been together for over a year, even though Dylan/Brenda were "on a break". I think that no one really knew that Kelly and Dylan were cheaters. Or else, to save "the Gang" they are buying into the retcon that Dylan and Brenda broke up (over Rique) and then Dylan and Kelly got together. Only David knows they kissed that one time and Steve alludes to Dylan flirting with Kelly over the summer. Brandon is a royal douche in all phases- he never sticks up for Brenda and then later dates Kelly. 1 Link to comment
Jax7917 December 31, 2016 Share December 31, 2016 Yea Kelly is supposed to be the godly gift of 90210 but I find her to be a horrible person . Dylan did have it coming to him though when she ended up getting with Brandon because of his " I don't give a shit" attitude about screwing over Brenda ... but even Donna knew what happened and that less than a day after Brenda and Dylan broke up , Kelly went out with Dylan .. but even Donna was blaming Brenda saying you said Dylan can go out with anyone , yet you're mad that he went out with Kelly ? Like seriously Donna ? 1 Link to comment

Dawn Grobe August 21, 2017 Share August 21, 2017 I've been waiting for this episode and you didn't even mention my favorite moment of the whole season. Val isn't just hanging the dartboard, she is nailing it to a brick wall. A. You don't nail things to brick walls. B. No one hangs a dartboard on a brick wall. It's been 20 years and I still remember my incredulity when I watched this episode with my college friends. 1 Link to comment
