I agree, it kind of made me think more of her that she was with a down-to-earth hometown boy as opposed to a Hollywood high-roller...oh well.

But don't forget, those two years also included him having a decently bad substance abuse problem (which included him taking off for a week without telling her), and one that Scheana and Shay weren't on the same page on how to treat.  She also mentioned on a podcast last year (it was right before season 4 started) that she and Shay had a huge fight about him having to film - she said he was very adamant about getting out of his Bravo contract (probably because he knew they were going to be filming his addiction/recovery), and her response was basically "You signed up for it and it costs too much to get out of it; suck it up."  I feel like they were probably two people who focused on the wedding, rather than the marriage, if that makes sense.

It's also why I think Scheana is trying to cling so hard to Katie this season; not only does she want acceptance, but I think she wants another "married friend" so that she can feel closer to Katie by having something in common.

Lala should be so proud for not counting Katie for a friend. May she stay strong and give her back and then some. I´m saying this even though I find Lala kind of blah...

I like Schwarts more than most on the cast but I still can´t feel sorry for him for marrying that nasty bully, he had years to get away and he chose not to. I guess he is a masochist who doesn´t want to be happy, that must be a thing.

Stassi has been up front with her awful personality, Katie kind of hid hers. They sure make Kristin and Jax seem likeable...

Scheana was soooo sad.

I wonder if Lisa V is having one of her famous "bad judge of character" moments like the ones she had with Cedric and Brandi? I wouldn´t want a bully horror to be my assistant, just saying.....

I´m adding this:

Ken is the manliest guy on the show. I know he´s kind of been in Lisa´s shadow, but just think about it: He´s really successful. He´s got a great marriage. He´s a nice, cute guy who carries dogs around and he sticks up for his wife. He´s also hot... yes, seriously, just build a time machine and go back in time and take a look at when he was in his 30´s and 40´s. I rest my case.

Well - I guess Kristen said she "matured". Too bad for us...and at least Stassi is wickedly funny (not so much this season). Also unfortunately for us - Katie's kinda a dud.

Amen to Ken! We could all use a Ken (i.e., rich, nice, protective and carries around little fluffy dogs).

I don't understand why Katie and Schwartz are together. At all. She's always thought he was a lazy child and he's always thought she was dim and a follower. He's cheated. She has rages. I think they like each other well enough in a friends from work sort of way, but they've never had any respect for each other and they've both always implied the sex isn't great. At this point they seem to be sinking into mutual loathing. They're young-ish, famous-ish, hot-ish and live in LA. Why not just break up and fuck other people? I really don't get them as a couple.  Hell, Jax and Stassi and their mutual love of  High School Queen Bee machinations made more sense to me.

Schwartz has a really weird hair trigger. And his gun of choice is pouring drinks. I remember he pulled the same thing on Stassi at her birthday in Vegas. Yes she was being her normal bitchy self, but it was because all her friends dragged her ex-boyfriend along against her wishes and behind her back and then when she got really upset that Jax wouldn't leave the restaurant after she told him too, Schwartz poured a drink on her. I remember thinking that it was such a bizarre reaction and kind of out of nowhere.  Katie and Schwartz are both...I don't know? Duplicitous or kind of dark underneath it all, I guess.
