That's really funny because I never think of him (or Anderson) as gay, just really good at what he does.  There's a lot of gays, in & out of the closet, on our teevee (TM Celia), so I don't really think about it.  The only guy I remember is Sam Champion who really paid a high price for coming out.  I loved his sense of humor & presence.  OTOH, Robin Roberts waited until she'd soaked up all the sympathy known to man before she "came out".  Just sayin'.

I don't think of him as just a Gay man...It is refreshing to see a black man in his profession, who owns his sexuality..Plus, I assumed that he was a young man and I was shocked to find out, at  that time, that, he was in mid 40's...

What cracks me up about Whoopi and her airline bit is that, like so much, she not only gets it ass backwards but does so in a way that she doesn't seem to actually get it.  What would sell and what has been a long running joke, even a comedic bit for well known comics, is that many would pay to fly on flights with no children.  And there is a difference and she doesn't seem to pick up on that at all.  Trying to juggle an all baby or all family flight is impossible out of flights.  Either it would narrow a corridor that is busy to just one available flight and thus discrimination, or it would mean that in a less busy corridor, one of a few flights would be deemed all baby.  Whereas with busy corridors, a large airline offering one of is several flights a day as adults only, first come, first served, in theory could work.  Could in theory.  Until someone had an emergency and needed to fly with a baby or small children and were denied.  But the only way it makes sense in an idealized way is not to say one flight out of many is all baby, but one flight out of many is open only to adults.  She really lacks some core critical thinking to me.

I have to wonder, considering the age of this latest Drumpf heinous behavior and how many people who worked with him on various shows are saying via social media that this is a tiny drop in a huge bucket, if Paula hasn't had a little heads up and that is why in part she has been rather critical this week compared to a rather long history of always finding something to let the latest outrage slide.  It will be interesting to see where she goes since she has had several occasions to be critical prior to the conventions, to the Angry Yam's less than acceptable attitude towards women in general just from the campaign trail let alone his multitude of interviews and social media "quips".  But the October Surprise aspect makes me wonder just what else the media might have a clue towards but in this silly age of trying to pretend to be non-partisan, want the politicians themselves to get their hands dirty to create the buzz that makes the ratings that make the lazy and inept media the money.

I'm guessing real news divisions, like ABC's have had a couple of weeks of stories floating around as to what was going to come out these next weeks and Paula might have an idea of how bad it was and possibly could get.  Especially when Wikileaks kind of fizzled.    I'd love if Monday's show was just Paula, Jediblahblah and Hair and Makeup Bure fighting to see who can put the most distance from drumpf they can and put the other in the seat next to him.  You know, the seat that has all three's buttprint in it by now.

Our man, Don Lemon, was born in 1966 which make him a very attractive 50 yrs. old.  Just sayin'.

He is absolutely one of my favorite CNN reporters (and, of course, Anderson), but I am shocked that he is 50. Wow, I want some of what he has.

Love Don and Anderson.

About the baby airline thing.  If I were traveling with young children the last thing I'd want is to be segregated on a plane full of other fussy babies.  Can you imagine the headache you'd have?  And the flight attendants would have to be saints.

Exactly.  AND WHoopi doesn't fly!  anyone who has been on a plane recently can imagine what a baby/family/kids flight would be like.   Where would they stash all those strollers?  there's barely room when there are 6-8 strollers on a flight, imagine if there were 30 or 40?  And - if the issue is crying babies, who the hell wants to be in a situation where as soon as your baby/toddler/preschooler settles down, another one a few rows up starts, and that sets off your kid again?

Her answer?

I did not hear any answers, I heard HER story.  She said it did not bother her to be with people who drink, she said she did not have a family history and that she had been a social drinker for 25 years.

I thought it was very thoughtful for her to talk about her experience, especially to talk about anxiety.

I would rather sit next to a parent and their fussy baby than a big mouth know-it-all like Whoopi Goldberg.

You know - someone posted about meeting her at some event and said she was smaller than she looks and was sort of shy and timid in the gathering. I think she is a blowhard on The View but if she were on a plane with a disruptive child she wouldn't say anything but would gripe about it on the show. Plus she would probably be on Xanax and zoned out.
